There is no 24 hours to leave if you go to immigration on the termination date. You would have to leave before midnight to avoid a overstay.

Immigration will do the cancelation a few days before the termination date and the will postdate the cancelation to the day on the letter.

Ohh then it changed since i did. Good to know it. +1 to immigration. In my time it was 24 hours and the same day..

  2. you have extension because of your work..

you need a termination letter from the work and take it to the immigration. the date on the termination letter is your last day staying in thailand. then they will give you 24 hours to leave the country. In some cases you can pay 1900 and make it another 7 days, not sure if still can.

you cannot change your visa in the country to TR type. you need to leave and come back.

  3. so you are working in thailand for a company which is not thai. and they want you to work in thailand basically online because you moved here and living here with a thai wife (well you didnt mention but i think thats what it is).

i was wondering if this company has any customers here in thailand because it sounds like you are doing some kind of international marketing or service without hot contact (face to face) with customers. is this an insurance company?

Does this company have any branch in thailand or thinking opening one? because at this point not officially but you are the branch here.

if you have a contract with this company and working here yes, you need a workpermit. doesnt matter its an international or online company. I dont think you need to pay tax plus your visa is nothing about work but marriage which is your reason of staying in thailand. tbh i dont think you can get a workpermit with these conditions because your company has nothing with thailand.

i strongly suggest you to contact to the labor office with someone who can speak good english and knows your job and working details really good so can explain every detail. thats the only way you can find the real answer.

I came in April 2022, stayed ONE MONTH and went back home .

I cameback in July 2022, stayed ONE MONTH and went back home.

I cameback In September 2022, stayed ONE month and extended my tourist visa for another month (SO now I am basically staying 2 months this time).

you are staying in thailand almost every 2 months for a month. this seems little bit more than tourism. I think it is time for you to decide thailand or germany. tourism means you go to some place in your vacation for a couple of weeks, not spending half of the year in the same place. Also seems you are trying to stay longer '' (SO now I am basically staying 2 months this time).''

In 10 days my visa will expire and I don't want to go back to Europe, I'd  rather stay here.

and here it is.. proof of my words.

Like I said, I am only doing tourism activity .

and the bomb... lol you are not doing tourism activity, you are just trying to stay in thailand as best and as long as you can.

so here are the suggestions for not having problems in the future:

    thai cooking classes

martial art classes (i suggest muay thai)

    find a job

find a wife (if you are ready)

    re-educate yourself with ED visa

non-o retirement visa if you are over 50 and you can use re-entry to go back to germany and come back to thailand.

    good luck

He applied at the consulate in Penang Malaysia.

If they addressed the paperwork to there he would need new documents.

yes, i mean Malaysia. so the documents must change for laos thai embassy (vientieene or savanakhet). because he mentioned hes going to laos next to do the non-b

thanks for the correction. dont know why i wrote cambodia lol

  6. you need a letter from the school saying they guarantee that they will apply for the WP. And also a form you should have it from your school. And your school should have it from the labor office. fill it and give 1 copy to you to take it to embassy. and the original one to labor office.  i think its called approval letter. Most likely you dont have it.

i believe you may rejected from laos too. 2 reasons:

    1) approval letter

    2) the documents you submitted to cambodia is addressed to thai cambodia embassy not to thai laos embassy.

    good luck

    1. A letter of approval from the relevant government agency, e.g. the Office of the Private Education Commission or the Office of the Basic Education Commission
    2. Original letter of approval from relevant Thai government agencies

1 is from vientiane and 2 is from savanakhet

  7. im using lazada for 4-5 years now

maybe i was lucky or not but only 1 time got scammed. the rest of my orders were great and really good quality

about the delivery date if its thailand you will get it probably in 2-3 days max. if its chine i would say a week or week and a half max.

i always read the comments or feedbacks. if you feel anything not good just look for another one. Also keep scrolling down for the product you want to buy because they post more then 5-6 times with different prices. so probably you will find cheaper one at the ends. i would never buy complex electronic things. most of them you can find in thailand probably 300 baht more expensive but at least you see and touch.

i ordered things for my car, phone and home. so far im really happy. Never used shopee so i cannot compare.

and explain in simple terms that you were banned for 5 years, 10 years ago, and wish to return to Thailand (no need to explain why you want to return) - keep it short and simple.

i would DEEPLY explain them why i want to return to thailand after they banned me because of illegal working...

the first question comes to mind would be... again?

  9. i did 2 times

i would chose non-o because you said you will get that soon.

i extended my visa using the TM30 app and when you print the pages you need for TM30 there is no section or field showing your visa type, so dont worry. printed papers you will give them has nothing on it about your visa type. its like only your passport number, address and your staying time. You can make it max 1 year but again its ok because if you not change your visa type or leave the country you dont need to do any changes. thats also why i told you to chose non-o so you will not change the app again. ????

suggestion: when you are registering yourself take all the steps screenshots. i did it. its like 3-4 pages. i printed out all of them and gave to immigration. no questions no question marks, they know.

    good luck

I crossed the border from Mukdahan to Savanakhet at the begin of October, I got the phone app with proof of vaccination and brought a print out, but was not asked for any of those, same for the other people crossing that day.
After getting the visa same on the way back on the Thai side, no mention about test or vaccine.

because it was the same day? did they know you would be back in 20min?

his visa exempt stamp ran out on the 14th. so on overstay

any recommendations for a visa agent that might be cheaper?

hes living in Isaan, but used an agent in Pattaya for many years

does 27,000 baht sound about right to get this retirement visa back, or could it be done cheaper , because living on the old uk pension means money is tight for him

    Thanks

27K seems ok to me. I know a Pilipino 3 years overstay and agency asked 45K from him. If hes sure that the agency can fix it and obviously he doesnt want to leave the country, so go for it

I disagree with most of what you write.

I don't know how many people use agents in which way. But I know plenty of people who are legally in Thailand and who don't need any illegal support but who use agents. The reason is that it is so much more convenient.

I.e. with my yearly business visa extension my agent, hired by my company, arrives at the immigration maybe at 6am. I see him at 8:30, walk with him to the immigration officer's "office", wait maybe 3 minutes before the previous person is processed, and then I sit with the officer, smile in the camera and a few minutes later I walk away. All done. No hassle. And if there are any questions then the agent works them out. Perfect! Currently my company pays for that, but I would pay it myself just for the convenience.

Now about the situation which are impossible without an agent because one or several people have to be bribed. I think people should only use this if they are desperate and have no other option. Why? Because things can go wrong. I remember an agent from years ago who seemed to be able to get miraculously lots of visas for lots of people. All was wonderful. Until the moment when the agent had to leave Thailand, within days. Out, or else. It seems he was doing the official stamps by himself in his office. Approved, sure...

Now I wonder what happened with those people who used his service and received visas which were just done with a fake stamp.

Sorry sir, you were illegal in Thailand for the last three years...

Obviously that doesn't have to happen. But I think people who want to live here should keep that in mind when they ask agents to do the impossible.

with all respect i think we all can understand what the OP post means and what he is asking. obviously he is not asking things like this. And obviously he is asking something like if he can use the agency if he hasn't got the necessary visa requirements. and he wants to know if its legal or not. OR he wants to know if an agency do his visa which hasnt got the necessary visa requirements will be legal or not if a police asks him to see his visa or likewise situations.

he asked if the agencies are legal or not and i simply explained him they are legal yes. i also explained him WHEN they are not illegal. so he can choice his answer..

    WRONG!!!!!!!

not wrong. many people using agencies in Thiland because they dont have the necessary things to get the visa or extend the visa.

people who can do, they just go to immigration and do in 1 day for max 3000 baht

i dont say anything to people using agency just because they dont want to deal with the immigraton. but they have all the things legal.

  14. Went there around 12:25

parked my car at the parking place. I really dont recommend it. You can park almost anywhere around the place. Not for too long though. the street is really small and not that much space. for 1 hour parking its 20 baht. seems they are doing legit parking thing. they give you a ticket and your parking time is on it. I suggest just check the time. when exiting they will check the time and charge you.

no car, no problem can go by taxi.

place was flooded i think. not now but there are still mud around so keep it in mind. And also thats why the car parking place is really in bad shape.

if you need copy things you can. there are 2 copy places around. 1 is at the parking place and the other one is opposite of it.

for 90 days you need to go to 2nd floor. if its not open wait till its. when you enter tell the person on your left stand and they will give you the form you need. fill it. then for the queue number you need to give the form back to them, and you will get your queue. for 90 days your queue number will start with C..

there is a really nice guy with glasses collects your documents. queue moves fast. i had 9 people ahead of me and it took 20 min to get me. after you gave your documents just move back and wait. there will be a man giving out the passports first calling by nationality (not name) and if no responds then by name. it took my another 20min

i would say my waiting time at the hall for the door opens was around 25 min and another 5 min to fill the form.. another 20 min to wait call my queue number.. and probably another 15-20 min to get back my passport.

i noticed that for visa extensions they use another account and after you give your papers you need to wait till they call you to another room. nothing to worry. its only because the place is small.

i must say every one was very helpful.. but the lady who gives you forms was little bit serious and talk to you serious and not trying to answer you.

    good luck

to buy a net so that when it is time, I can run the net across the pond and collect the fish for market.

i think you should know the answer for this one. you said 'for the market' that counts work. you are not getting fish for yourself but for the market, selling.. well.. its a job.

I also have a few jobs to do like fitting some PVC pipes along the house to connect the new well to the storage tank and do other plumbing jobs to connect the new pump.

few jobs.. you said it yourself.. jobs.. was it only 1 house? did they pay for it? if they paid and you took it, its job.

I have also done all the PPR plastic pipe welding for the hot water system because our contractor was not familiar with this process and that was the only way I could get the pipe work completed.

now this is not a job. you did it for your house.

my opinion is you should take it easy. it seems you know a lot about plumbing but its better to keep it yourself. i know its a small place but it seems you are eager to do some 'jobs'.. dont
