  1. Just play safe.

Download the tm30 mobile app. Register the house owner (takes 5min) and put your name as living there. All procedure takes max 10min. Screenshot in every steps your doing. Thats it. No more nightmares when you are sleeping. Nothing to lose to do it. Thats what i did.

If the immigration cannot find your tm30 or else, show the app, or screenshots. Really so easy with the mobile app.

  2. This is what one of the new guys in my office did,

He changed or cancelled his non-b from the old work to covid visa or extension. And our office preapered the documents in 2 or 3 days the  he went there again and got his 1 year extension based on work. He has a wife who is not thai, she also got 1 year extension. So it is possible. But i strongly suggest you to confirm this with the immigration you will do your extension just like he confirmed with the immigration. I also remember that he talked with the immigration at udon thani when cancelling and explained his plan to IO, then the IO asked him for any evidence and he showed a letter from my company. Then he gave him covid extension or whatever it call, and canceled his non-b. When he came to CW bangkok, IO called udon thani immigration and confirmed the story. And with the paper work from the office he got it

Another way is, if the new school can preapare all the documents on time, you can go to immigration with the termination letter. You can swift your extension for the new work. All this must be in the same day, this is what my other friend did 3 or 4 years ago. Didnt need to leave the country.

Well another option is the most known one. Leave the country and get a new non-b. I heard laos is opening real soon.

First way seems the best but please check with the immigration. Second way is also easy but risky because everything must be on the same day. Third seems the most time and money wasting way but the most sure way

    Good luck.

May you clarify Sir please, @BritTim

I have been scouring previous threads in regards to this topic and most of them are in contradiction with each other.

Yes, I currently have a Non Immigrant Visa (ED, then extended for Volunteer O).

Do you mean if I can somehow get a WP with my Non O, I can apply for an extension of stay at the Immigration without leaving the country, right?

    Thank you.

Yes, no need to leave thailand and you can continue with your non-b BUT the whole thing must be in the same day which you said your new school cannot finish the papers in time. If they can, get a work termination letter from your old school. Be very very careful with the date on it. That day is your last day in thailand and your visa. With that letter and the documets from your school go to immigration. They will continue with your non-b without you need to leave the country. The thing here is, your new school must finish all documents before your last date on that letter

  4. There were many posts so i stopped reading after 5th or 6th. So im not sure if you got your answer or not but for your questions:

Finger scan is really every where. I had just 2 weeks ago when leaving thailand at the airport. My friend finger printed when crossing the border. In and out. If they finger print him when he was entering thailand, he will be there till his ban ends. You mentioned name change and so on. He will only change his name, not skin. So most likely they will see him in the system. What will happen, most likely they will put him in some waiting room or jail and ask him to find the first flight back to home and keep him in the waiting room or in jail till he gets on plane with police escort. If he is wanted for a crime.. well that will end not good.

    Suggestion,

I dont know why he is so desperet to come back to thailand even changing his name but i wouldnt. I would wait till it ends. Thats the safest way. OR as mentioned before you can go to immigration and ask them with your friends infos.

Although.... there are some people thinking that all of that finger scan or if there is a connection between any immigration or it works are just a urban legend.. worth the try, nah.

Er no - thanks for the clarification  - But calm down and dont be so aggressive. I meant the op could probably get visa exempt if he was one from  one set of countries or visa on arrival if he  was from another  set-off  countries- he talked  about turkey but he referred  to 'farang ' meaning European. Europeans and Turks have different  visa options and availabilities- their nationality  being defines by their  passport.  I have no idea  how you dragged race into it.

Farang doesnt mean european. It is actually from french... obvious reasons. Also its a very high level word. They use this word for all white people. Also farang means allien which is tourist.

    And he is turkish national.

Turkish citizens receive 30 day visa exempt entry to Thailand.

Thank you, so he doesnt need a visa. Although its only 1 day passed since  he gave his passport to the embassy. I think he is over reacting because he get used to get the visa in 1 day from mukdahan. But again thanks for the info at least he can enter the country without a visa.

  7. Hi,

My friend is coming back to thailand from turkey and he is turkish.

He was staying in thailand for a long time and working here.

He went back to turkey for family visit. And he decided to get a new non-b visa based on his work. He left thailand on marriage non-o extension but of course it cancelled when he left. For personal reasons he decided to get a non-b for work while visiting his family.

He applied last friday (6 may) and they told him they will send him an email. On the embassy web site it says 1 working day. He told me there were only 2 people there applying for visa. They didnt tell him you can get this or that day but only we will send you an email for the result.

His flight to bangkok is on friday (13 may) and he will arrive in 14 may afternoon. Suddenly he started to think he will not get the visa till friday. My opinion is he will get but yes i think it will be a close one to his flight date.

So his question is if he cannot get the visa on time, if he goes to the embassy and take back his passport and go to thailand without a visa, can he enter thailand for 28 days without a visa?

His thai pass and everything is ready.

Or any other options? Not sure if he can change the plane ticket its not flexable and it is economy class (turkish airlines) booked by some online agency.

    Thanks

This won't help much but a similar experience from different angle.

As recently as last Saturday my partner (Thai) rented out a townhouse to a farang.

She had to provide the agent with her ID and blue book etc so that the agent could organize TM30 for new tenant.

Surprised the agent in your case was not able to organize the TM30.

Would have been my first question.

BTW OP, you refer to "house" how as a foreigner can he own a house.

Thanks for the post. This is exactly what i tried to say. Im pretty sure they have the ID and blue book. Probably the owners told them not to give anyone.

Thank you for confirming the case.

My TE expires on the 7th of June.

So this was going to be my next question. I take it then that none of the land border hops are open at the moment?

Friend of mine suggested going to Mae Hong Son for a border hop without entering Myanmar to avoid having to spend may days in quarantine, but he did not know if it was open or not.

I read somewhere that malaysia border will open soon. Also nong khai border is open already if im not mistaken

  10. I dont know if this help but maybe give you some hints.

I know some restaurants and thai bars which have many waitress from myanmar, vietnam and laos. Of course they dont have the work permit we know but most of them have some kind of card and let them work in thailand. But not help with the visa. They must go out and come back every 90 days. I saw some of these cards and yes its real. I think this is because of ASEAN thing.

Someone mentioned 20k baht. Im pretty sure non of the restaurants pay that much just for a waitress. And yes most of them are illegal but trust me there is this card thing let them work too. You might check this out.

    Good luck

    Thank you for your opinion.

I'm going to speak with them (the agency) but few years ago and as told prevouisly they didn't have the tabien baan.
In fact, it is a big real estate agency so i don't believe they could be not correct, just i don't really know if the owner is outside thailand and lazy to go to the related administration to get the tabien baan or if the real estate company is lazy for any other reason?
I used their services for several years without problem and i can't bealieve that they are not correct
I've paid already the deposit (to book the house) but hope they could give me the required documents...
    I am a bit lost.

I see. Again, im thinking that they cannot rent or do the legal things without at least a copy of the house boom and the owner id. But if you trust tge agency.. cannot say more.

Hope you will solve the problem soon

  12. I would hardly believe that the company renting the house doesnt have the house book or owner id. Im not an expert but my mind says theres no way they dont have that 2 things and imagine they are real estate agency and doing this job legaly.. nahh

Change the place you will stay. Before doing that tell this to the company. Im sure that tabian ban and the id will appear in 1 day ????

Another way is to have the owner of the house register online then they can submit the TM30 online.

Yes thats, something i was thinking but not sure if the first online registration should be at the office or not i mean the first tm30. But it seems its not a problem. I have the app.

Another thing is, will arrive on saturday, so if mobile app not works will go on monday.

    Thanks

  14. Probably mentioned before but couldnt find it so sorry:

When doing tm30, if you stay in your wife or girlfriend house, you need:

    Wife/girlfriend ID

    House book

Letter from wife/girlfriend saying you guys are together and will stay together at the house (thats enough?)

    Passport

She needs to be there or not?

Thats all? I was wondering about the letter how should it be written?

Also where to do tm30 for bangkok CW?

    Thanks
