UK slams ‘back door’ visa routes shut
How many incoming and outgoing transfers are there under Dublin III? According to Home Office figures, between 2015 and 2018, 7,365 incoming requests were made to transfer people into the UK under the Dublin regulation, from which 2,365 people were transferred to the UK (some requests may still be pending). This means that the UK accepted around 33% of requests. During the same period, the UK made 18,953 outgoing requests to transfer people to other Member States, from which 1,395 people were transferred abroad. This amounts to around 7% of outgoing requests by the UK resulting in a transfer. In 2018, the UK received a total of 37,453 asylum applications, and made 5,510 outgoing transfer requests under Dublin III. Of these 5,510 requests, 209 migrants were transferred out of the UK under Dublin III, whilst 1,215 came in, making the UK a net recipient in 2018. https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/what-is-the-dublin-iii-regulation-will-it-be-affected-by-brexit/ Returns were very low when the UK was in the EU Sending people back didn't work when the UK was in the EU

Chinese EV manufacturers are adjusting their strategies and starting to increase prices in Thailand, with 2026 being the key time to measure real demand BYD's best-selling compact hatchback, the Dolphin electric car, is priced at ฿599,900 (US$19,300) for the standard model as of Tuesday, February 24th, 33% higher than its 2025 low. The Atto 3 electric SUV is priced at ฿849,900, a 21% increase. This marks the first time BYD has raised prices since entering the Thai market in 2022, but the leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer is not the only one to do so https://www.prachachat.net/world-news/news-1971270

Before deciding to keep or sell suggest you check out the facebook groups for mg extender there are still a few brand new models for sale Personally I think the problem with your MG its a manual and its nearly new so your main competition will be from dealers and tents that will be offering low deposit finance with installments for 2025 only 631 MG extenders were registered so its a small market i supect the number of manual models out of those 631 will be very small If we assume MG extenders bought August 2025 appear as September registrations yours is one of only 16 registered https://autolifethailand.tv/sales-report-pick-up-thailand-2025/

OMODA & JAECOO acknowledge rapid brand growth and are accelerating the development of after-sales service OMODA & JAECOO are also in the process of fulfilling the accessory orders for those who have already received their JAECOO 5 EV vehicles, including warranty certificates , owner's manuals , floor mats , and V2L equipment . Currently, there are approximately 6,000 sets of these accessories pending. The company confirms that all orders will be delivered to dealers by February. Furthermore, the company is aware of potential delays in the installation of wall chargers. Those who have already received their vehicles will gradually receive and have the equipment installed by April 2026. Furthermore, regarding spare parts management, the current warehouse stocks 5,400 SKUs , or 80,000 pieces. Recently, an additional 42,000 essential spare parts have been added, prioritizing imports via air freight for urgently needed parts not available in Thailand. By February 16th , all backordered spare parts, totaling approximately 3,800 pieces , will be delivered to distributors to address the pending spare parts issues for consumers. However, it must be acknowledged that the after-sales service standards for electric vehicles (EVs) in Thailand, especially from Chinese manufacturers, may not yet be comparable to those of other manufacturers that have been present in Thailand for a long time. Therefore, this year, Chinese Automakers are placing significant emphasis on after-sales service, a key factor in building consumer confidence. Electric vehicles possess more advanced technology than internal combustion engine vehicles, and many consumers are switching from EVs to EVs, making after-sales service a primary focus for these brands. https://autolifethailand.tv/omoda-jaecoo-after-sales-service-2026/ Its good to see a brand that knows the issues and take steps to resolve those issues rather than going into camel mode and burying their heads in the sand hoping that issues will go away on their own- Dual citizen Britons without UK passport could be refused entry
Changes from 26th February 2026 From 25 February 2026, the Home Office will be fully applying the ETA requirement. The Home Office is advising British dual citizens to make sure they have a valid UK or Irish passport or certificate of entitlement if they will be travelling on or after that date. If they don’t, they may not be able to board their transport to the UK. Some people question why they can’t use other documents to prove their right of abode and exemption from the permission to travel requirement, such as an expired British passport or a certificate of naturalisation or registration as a British citizen. Those documents aren’t listed in the Home Office’s document checking guidance for transport providers. Carriers are unlikely to deviate from the guidance because they can be penalised for bringing inadequately documented passengers to the UK. https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-10344/ Looks like expired passports no longer accepted- Dual citizen Britons without UK passport could be refused entry
Depriving someone of their British citizenship for the public good is generally used in the context of national security or counter-terrorism. The aim is to prevent a person who poses a threat to the United Kingdom from returning to the country, which they would otherwise have a right to do as a British citizen. There are also rare cases involving serious or organised criminals. Over 1,500 citizenship deprivation orders were made from 2010 to 2024https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/sn06820/ It can happen if the Home Secretary cancels your passport- Electric Vehicles in Thailand

Does Catl have a production plant in Thailand as the rules for EV batteries in Thailand change this year from June onwards By June 2026, Thailand's EV policy mandates a shift toward local battery production, limiting the value of imported battery cells to 10% of an EV's factory price to meet local content requirements. This deadline, extended from the end of 2025, requires manufacturers to adopt local sourcing, fostering a robust domestic supply chain, which includes 54 active battery production projects as of late 2025. Key EV Battery & Policy Updates for June 2026 Imported Cell Limits: Starting January 1, 2026, and lasting through June 30, 2026, imported battery cells can only account for up to 10% of an EV's total factory price to be counted toward local content requirements. Localization Push: Post-June 30, 2026, imported battery cells will no longer count towards the 40% Local Content Requirement (LCR), forcing manufacturers to use locally produced battery packs. Investment & Manufacturing: Over 140 billion baht has been invested in the Thai EV industry (as of late 2025), with 54 battery-production projects worth 79.47 billion baht strengthening the local supply chain. EV 3.5 Measures: The BOI's 4-year (2024–2027) EV 3.5 package supports this transition with subsidies and incentives. Market Growth: BEV registrations in Thailand are growing, with over 87,000 units registered in the first nine months of 2025. Industry Impact The policy changes are designed to shift from importing components to strengthening domestic battery manufacturing, aligning with Thailand's goal of becoming a regional EV hub. Manufacturers must have clear domestic sourcing plans, and those failing to meet these local production conditions may face penalties. - Pick up Truck Valuation
