I used to use the schedule at www.propsops.com when I was living in BKK and photographing cosplay. The website is a pain to navigate around though ! There is usually a couple of big cosplay events at Central world especially the Japan Expo. That’s the easiest to photograph...and access.
I see it is on again Jan 31st - Feb 2nd at Central World.

That would be your simple minded interpretation, do really think there was not more to it than that.
The owner did not believe there were no towels and reluctant to address the problem. The apartment in general was not in keeping with the description, Airbnb does not give owners licence to tell lies.
Generally I have been more than satisfied with the accommodation I have been in but not the case this time round. Airbnb should do more to ensure the details listed are correct, or do you think that is too much to expect.
Perhaps if you had put more information in your original post......
You should try being a landlord and see a whole new perspective. Or are you too simple minded to think of that?

Bummer..... I have taken a similar case to the Ministry of Health, but will not be holding my breath waiting for them to do something. The hospital drag it out as long as possible, distort the facts and try to sweep it under the carpet. They already fired my doctor, of course he was a Farang, no Thais got fired.
*The first word is a clue to the name of the hospital that is the biggest rip off in Thailand.

-Over priced Baht
=Immigration issues- surly Immigration officers; a lack of sense in isuing Visas and extensions; poor image due to social media reports showing denied entry
-dirty beaches and water
-over priced hotels and restaurants
-Constant police harrassment
-A lack of anything exotic- crackdowns on street food and the entertainment industry
-scams and corruption
-Taxi's refusing to use meter or simply overcharging
To which we can add violence and lack of safety. Thailand listed as 3rd most dangerous place to visit in the world. (South Africa with its murders was 1st).
Being ripped off for medical care that is often inept.
Lets add that Thailand is a 3rd world country, yet they are charging 1st world prices.
The Thais just cannot see that they have shot themselves in their own foot. Worse still, there is no one else to blame! I know, we will have another meeting! Genius!

Any other ideas will result in little progress. Get rid of the racist army. They are moving the nation backwards at an alarming pace. Nothing useful is getting done. The list of areas which are being ignored is too long to list.
Don't hold your breath waiting. Lets have another meeting to decide to have another meeting. Then we will set up a committee so that any decisions made cannot be blamed on any one of us.

Ah, no responsibility, what country are we in?

I just made the Mrs joint signature on my account here not a joint account, she can go in and get all the cash out if I croak, no need to tell them. I do have an ATM card as back up but I never trust those things, can get stuck etc. House and car is in her name anyway so that just leave the bulk of the cash in the UK which my mate will help her sort out.
You do not trust ATM cards but you DO trust a Thai wife.... You may 'expire' before your ATM card expires! And not of natural causes!
The alternative is a Will, but the Thai lawyer is going to siphon off as much as he can.

I wonder if expats will begin to develop side vision, which is a common feature among animals considered prey.
I used to think 1178 was a immigration help line. That was before we became unwelcome. Now I get the feeling we are being watched and anytime there is a problem with a Thai we are at risk of them reporting us to 1178.
Guys like this damage the image for the rest of us who are just trying to live in peace and avoid stirring up immigration.
Did you see the sign in the background of the photo? “Transnational Crime Data Center.” Orwell was right.

There are good deals to be had, I have had several but my most recent booking turned into total loss, so you are not wrong to be a bit sceptical.
I had booked 4 nights in HCMC and when we arrived found that there were no towels in the apartment. I contacted the host which wasn't easy as there was no information on how to use the internet. It started about 5pm and by 7pm we were no further forward so we picked our bags up, hadn't unpacked, and booked into a hotel, about an hour later we got a message saying she was coming to resolve the problem.
When I got home I made a complaint to Airbnb and tried to get a refund but they were not interested, said I hadn't given the host enough time to fix the matter and hadn't notified them within 24 hours.
Airbnb are more concerned about hosts than guests, they need the hosts to make the listings look good, so people should be wary.
Total loss? Just cuz there were no towels? I am not surprise you were refused a refund. I expect the owner still had to pay Airbnb.

I think Britain is getting a jump-start on the whole thing.
I'd be shocked if the EU, in its current form, existed in 10 years.
It has started already....
I wonder how many other EU member countries have been watching to see how Brexit goes before making their decision to leave?

god damn it! i missed it. next year.
You have to visit Tokyo, Harajuku and Shibuya / Shinjuku. Where you will see far more Cosplay girls than Thailand, plus more elaborate costumes. Nobody does Cosplay like a Japanese girl, soooooo cute! Though Japanese do tend to have bandy legs… (it‘s the bandy that makes you randy)
Enjoy the link!

You can always become the 51st state.
Not such a bad idea actually!
The EU will still have to trade with us in some form as we are interdependent. Plus Britain will be free to enter into trade agreements with other countries.
Britain will survive, they will just make a trade agreement with the Thais. We will trade tourists for pussy.

Gets killed at a road safety exercise.... You could not make it up. - Only in Thailand.
And the police who set up this exercise have accepted responsibility? I thought not. - Only in Thailand.
It appears they just go without thinking. Where is their mind?

I don't believe I've been propositioned more anywhere in the world than in Saigon.
Not even Pattaya.
I believe the poster you quoted referred to a beach, so he is not in Saigon. Da Nang or Na Trang most likely. Is P4P available there? And how do P4P prices and service compare to Thailand?

Dual pricing: Dutch man seeking hospital justice complains nothing is happening

I would propose that the regulation is illegal. It is also racist.
While I am at it; forcing foreigners to buy health insurance from Thai companies as a condition of getting your Visa is also probably illegal. People have a right to buy insurance anywhere they like.
How do we get our rights? Oh, we have no rights.... TIT.
