I think it's Frangipani? Try looking it up on Google.

OK, so maybe it had a natural home, if the pond is large enough...though Isaan is notorious for having fewer water monitors than other regions, as they get hunted mercilessly. It might be safe at the local wat, but then again, it might just end up as a stir fry in double-quick time. They do make good eating, I have to admit......
You've eaten one???

My house is in issan, never seen one before. Just for everyone's info it was scooped up and is now very happy living in the local Wat with the Monks and Monkeys. ????
It's a WATER Monitor. Is there a river or at least a pond at the Temple? Probably was not too keen about being dragged away from his home area either. Likely would appreciate being returned to the pond where he came from.

Mondial Assistance dragged my car's sorry arse to the repair shop, about 15kms across Bangkok for 2000 Bats. Flat fee, no other charges. Good prompt service. Proper modern flat bed truck with winch.

Roadrunners, and whatever else it can fit in its mouth... you'd better be as fast as in the cartoon.
Yikes! You expect to find these things up-country, but I came across an 8' Python in Bangkok the other day. I am sure it looked upon me as lunch...... Beep! Beep! gone.

I know this is Thailand so anything is possible, but the photo looks like both are on the wrong side of the road.

Biggest Jingjook I ever saw. Hate to disappoint you as I am not expert on lizards but it looks like what the Thai call a 'Hea'..... Suggest you be careful with your pronunciation there!

Buying online direct with an airline can be best. Much depends on where you are flying from and to. If you need a travel agent, please say where you live.
Sorry fro delayed response. Its is Bkk to Germany.

Like several others on this thread, I have noticed the Thai ability to wrap an elastic band around a bag so tight you can't get it off.... Just remember, never allow her to put the condom on for you!

I'd say the Thais got what they deserved. Serves them right for not taking care of us long term residents.

I've read of so many incidents where a "beep-beep" can and does lead immature Thai men into a fit of anger.
So this explains why I have so many problems.
Further proof (as if more were needed) it does not take much for the Thai male to lose his cool. Makes me wish I could raise the energy to swap country.

Thailand is about to do away with school uniforms...... What are the requirements for a Retirement Visa in Japan?

Distilled water is a good idea as it does not contain the minerals found in tap water which can clog up the cooling system.
Antifreeze will work but does not provide lubrication for the water pump. It also has a habit of finding any weakness in the system and causing leaks.
Proper engine coolant is best as it lubricates and protects from corrosion.
Use just plain tap water alone and you are asking for trouble with corrosion.

The buffoon is running for office Ma’am…. Love that pic.
May should have known, being Prime Minister at the time of Brexit was always going to be a suicide mission.
Britain desperately needs someone competent and capable….. if Boris is the best we can find we are in trouble.
In the long run there is opportunity with freedom to do trade deals elsewhere.

This is going to be interesting... we Roadrunners don't have fingers.
Seriously, the Immigration requirements have gotten ridiculous. What next, implant a chip, or how about an ankle bracelet with GPS so they'll know where we are 24/7. Welcome to Thailand.

Thai Immigration are getting ridiculous, but India? Every time I go there I get Delhi belly. No thanks, surely there are better alternatives in S E Asia.

The problem I have with this is that your visa will be dependent on your health and insurance.

Overcharging the sick. Money and medicine are a bad mix, with some hospitals even listed on the stock exchange what are we to expect.
It remains to be seen how tenacious and effective the Dept of Trade are. Some of these hospitals are making so much money that they would just laugh at the fine.
It is interesting to note that many of the doctors working in high end private hospitals also work in Gov’t hospitals where the same doc can be seen for far less.
Instead of the typical comments, it might be more useful if posters listed hospitals where they got good care at a fair price. I’d start with Ramathibodi usually being ok.
Overcharging?..… Bangkok Pattaya and Bumrungrad.

I don't know why other members are arguing with you over gear select/tiptronic they are both awful in automatic cars... My old car had tiptronic but it's still an A/T and would override my selections and shift itself into whatever gear it felt like I SHOULD be in... Complete waste of time to shift like that!
Try the Ferrari F430... paddle shift combined with a hand clutch. In town your arms could end up twisted like a pretzel. Why didn't they make a manual version?
-
The main reason they don't make autos here is because they can't freakin' drive! I like my manual sports car as I would rather drive the car than have it drive me. Plus the manual will accept modifications and more power.

Take the papers to the Land Registry Office and you should have your answer. Though anything is possible in Thailand.
