AN Original Trump wants to execute people who engage in human trafficking.
JackGats replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Absolutely not, and you know it or you are ignorant or you're on a virtue-signalling trip like Trump. In the US, the feminist tradcons refer to prostitution as "human trafficking", also of course to boost the trafficking myth. If you watch news conferences from red state areas, all the corrupt feminist police refer to prostitution that way. So this is proposing the death penalty for actions related to prostitution, this is what is happening. -
Could be from the genus Cortinarius (webcaps) if the gills are brown to reddish brown. Contains a few deadly species and no good edibles (in Europe at least). It is not realistic to diagnose mushrooms on the basis of only a pic of the caps. The smell is also diagnostic. Plus, the taste (a bit is placed on the tip of the tongue, then spat out!) provided notoriously deadly species have been ruled out.

Reports of modern slavery double in UK care sector

"It only matters when it happens to women" I'm sure conditions are much worse in the building industry where (male) workers are kept like cattle on site and work accidents are rampant. -
If I enter Thailand with the LTR eVisa application in process, they would not be able to issue the LTR because I'd have to do it in Thailand. And an emphasized "fee is non-refundable". Am I right in taking "LTR eVisa application" here to mean "LTR-visa issuance at a consulate outside Thailand", as opposed to issuance at the one-stop center in Bangkok? So the take-home point is, if you opt to get your LTR stamp outside Thailand, do not travel to Thailand in the meantime lest by doing so you abort your LTR process. On the other hand, if you opted to get your LTR stamp in Bangkok, do travel to Thailand asap in order to be able to get your LTR stamp within 60 days of the notification of endorsement.

AN Original Trump wants to execute people who engage in human trafficking.

Trump is now pandering to the paedohisteric non-libertarian right. He'll do anything to get reelected. Disgusting. I've just listened to part of a speech by Putin sent to me by a Putin sympathiser. Much to my dismay, compared to Trump Putin comes across as rational, and often I can't help myself thinking "Putin has a point". I'd prefer it to be otherwise. I'd prefer Trump and other Western pundits to be rational and honest while Putin would be the malicious low-life he's made out to be. But it's not what it is and I don't like it. -

Oh yeah? Like having a "child" girl-friend (17, 18, 21 years old?) over state borders? These days anything is human trafficking or raping, any grown-up woman is a child, can't you understand that? -

What a virtue-signaling hypocrite this guy has become! I used to give him credit for many things, after this howler, never again! -

You mean the original LTR applications? It wasn't. I just sent my LTR application 10 minutes ago. Along the way I read something to the effect it might be necessary to upload pages of an older passport upon request. Plenty of Thai stamps on the old passport. On the new one hardly any, everything summarised on the infamous "visa stamp transfer" from old to new.

I understand. So since I'm waiting outside Thailand for LTR approval I shall have to resubmit at least the page with the new Suvarnabhumi entry stamp. I daren't opt for the stamping of the LTR at the Thai consulate in my "home" country lest said consulate raise the issue of territoriality and/or official residence. I am no longer a resident in my home country, just here visiting family.

Following up on my query above, I'm still puzzled by this: In case the applicant choses to have LTR visa issued at One Stop Center for Visa and Work Permit (OSS) in Bangkok, the applicant will be required to update latest travel information and upload passport pages with all Thai stamps (The file must be scanned both left and right pages per one sheet AND ALL SHEETS MERGED IN ONE PDF FILE), particularly biodata page, current visa which has been cancelled with the remaining permission to stay sufficient to receive LTR Visa*, What is this "latest travel information"? I thought the scanning of the passport was done right at the beginning of the application, now they want it again. As I see it, if I choose the issue at One Stop Center, I have to travel to Thailand and re-scan my passport carrying the entry stamp AND the cancellation of the current visa. I'm also puzzled by this: 4. If you wish to terminate your current visa or acquire TM.6 or TM.47 later but prior to LTR visa issuance at OSS, you can do so by uploading [Form] Leaving aside the TM6 which no longer exists, why would I want to "acquire a TM47" prior to the LTR issuance? If I'm out of Thailand when I choose the One-Stop shop in Bangkok for visa issuance and I'm going to get the visa on my passport shortly after I enter Thailand again. I shall not wait for 90 days, in fact I can't because I need to go for my LTR stamp within 60 days.

K-Bank Email
JackGats replied to Lucky Bones's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
It says from August 19th onwards, transfers above 200k will require face recognition. I don't know if not signing it because "farang is responsible for any fraud" is a good idea insofar as this is about facial recognition for higher amounts. Required facial recognition is bound to reduce the fraud risk. -
Credit Card in Thailand
JackGats replied to Robin's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Not quite the same. A pre-loadable credit card (with vanishingly small limit) is a credit card, with 5 000 USD credit if you load 5 000 USD on it. It can be used for car renting (deposit blocked by the renting company) and will not get rejected by hotels that also want to block a deposit. Such a credit card has only advantages compared to a debit card. If fraud occurs with a debit card the whole account is exposed. -

So it would be possible to get a secured credit card in Thailand? I mean a fully-fledged credit card that allow pre-authorisations for car rental and the like? Why don't banks issue credit cards with minimal limit (say 1000 Baht) but with the facility to preload the card. The money you transfer on the card then becomes your credit. Problem solved, and the customer gets a real credit (ie not debit) card. -

No car rental in Europe with a debit card, never mind whether Master or Visa. Dunno about buying a plane ticket online with a Thai Visa or Master Debit. -
