To be honest I don't think they do.  I have not seen it on their website. 

Technically, the product has not been delivered in full yet.  Also, I don't yet know how the insurance premiums are paid, all at once or monthly.  If monthly, the question is moot. 

I am on year one of an O-A.  I will be re-entering at DMK on 26/11/19.  IF I am stopped due to lack of insurance, what happens next.  I need until 1/3/20 to either leave LOS or change to an O.  It seems that I would get a 30 stay of some kind.  What can I do to stretch this out until the end of February?

Does anyone know of Pacific Cross policies can be canceled?

We have already gone off topic by discussing the application for the retirement extension based on an O-A visa, so to round it off let's add the entry into Thailand with a re-entry permit based on this type of extension or on the permission to stay obtained with an entry with the O-A visa. I was planning on doing that.  If, however, what a couple of posters have said that they were forced to get insurance after a re-entry while on an O-A, I will not be ready.  I was planning on having another 15 months on the O-A with the extra nearly one year of permission to stay granted during the 1st year after a re-entry.  I do not yet have the 800K required for an O.  I do have 8 months of 100K income into a Thai bank but that may not work for the O.

The point is that many people MUST have insurance that they don't need.  In my case, 200,000 deductible changes my premium from about ฿75,000 to ฿45,000.

They all require financial proof. Either the 800k baht in the bank or proof of 65k baht income or it could be both totaling 800k baht.

I am 9 months into my O-A.  I do not have 800k in the bank since I was planning on not needing it for 14 or 15 months but I will be exiting and re-entering this month.  I do have proof of 100K per month but obviously not for 12 months.

Why "Go out of Thailand"?  Can't he get the insurance and just go to the local immigration?

In the US you can short circuit probate with an estate plan. Maybe you can do that in Thailand as well. That would be a question to pose to a lawyer.

Of course that would require a family member and not a gf.

Do Thai banks allow someone to be named as a beneficiary? It is common practice in the US.  In the case of the account holder's death, the money goes to the designated beneficiary.

What prevents someone with a US Transit Visa from just leaving the airport and staying?  Assuming the obtaining a Transit Visa is fairly easy, it would seem this leaves a hole in border security.

"Logical", therein lies the problem.

One thing that happens to me is that I try to access a normal US website but it is blocked because I am not actually in the US.  The simplest thing for me is to use the downloadable Epic Privacy Browser.  It has a built in proxy that bypasses this issue.

The problem with the Elite visa is that you pay up front for 5 or 10 years.  You get away with no insurance but 2 years in they change the requirement.  Then you are stuck with getting insurance or loosing your money spent on the Elite visa.

The typical retiree here has an O visa, and an extension based on retirement.   We all know what the qualifications for that are.   I think everyone affected by now understands that if going the money in the bank route, there has to be a minimum of 400,000 baht in your account for the whole year.

Once the O-A holder applies for an actual extension (not the 1st year exit and re-enter extension) they are required to have the same money in a Thai bank as anyone else. 

Do you mean the freelancers weren't always on the beach?

Might not be the least expensive but you can't go wrong with a Honda Jazz (in the US known as the Fit)

My original entry was on 1 Mar 2019 and my original permitted day was February 28.  So it looks like they didn't count leap year or at least they used 365.
