F1 good free stream or any pay per view
sallecc replied to sallecc's topic in Sports, Hobbies & Activities
Just checked with Pulse TV, they gave me 24h free trial, I'm watching Sky F1 live now and it works perfect in HD even on my crappy 10mbps internet ???? They have short term packages without the box (app or browser) 1,000/month, not bad if I just need it for a month without long term contract (10,000/year). I think I'll just go for it... this F1 weekend is one of the best in years, and Sky F1 is covering everything day & night. -
F1 good free stream or any pay per view
sallecc replied to sallecc's topic in Sports, Hobbies & Activities
Thanks. TV Mucho has CH4 as well, but I'm looking for whole weekend action, pay per view or good free stream. Let's see what others will say ???? -
(I'll ask this in F1 thread too) Can anybody recommend good online stream for F1? Free or pay per view, just need stable... Big weekend starts today and I'd hate to miss important moments on jittery and stuttering streams ???? Condo I'm renting has local TV cable only, no box... I'd love to pay per view online, but I can't find anything, probably due to monopolies of big TV players... I usually use Ripple free stream, but it's lagging sometimes, and never know which race they will cover. I'm not from UK or US so I can't subscribe to Sky or ESPN, anyway I'd prefer pay per view and not long term because I'd only watch F1 weekends. Does AIS, True or Dtac have some mobile TV sport packs for prepaid? Thanks guys!

Covid extension details
sallecc replied to BKKTRAVELER's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Little update: Covid extension for Volunteer Visa is not 7.5k anymore, but 9.5k (Phuket agent) up to 14k (BKK agent), no reply from Pattaya agent... Christmas came early for I/O's ???? -

Could it be that's because those V. visas are issued in Isaan I/O's and has to be cancelled there first, prior to Covid extension? Just a thought (or a hope lol). Talked to my Phuket agent who did V. visa last year (not possible anymore): they can do Covid extension for 7.5k (same price as other agents), and that includes cancelling V. visa in Khon Kaen I/O ("because it's issued there"), and issuing Covid extension there as well. I asked if they could do Covid extension here in Phuket, they said no, because "it must be done at the same time as V.V. is cancelled". Here's hope that I'll be able to do my 2nd Covid extension here in Phuket for 1900b, guess I'll find it out in February ???? -
Hi, please keep in mind that was almost 2 months ago... Standard Covid extension procedure (in Phuket I/O), only TM7, Affidavit and TM30, nothing else... No idea what they need now, I heard of reports asking for return flight ticket, and refusing Covid extension for Volunteer visa, etc... I'll know more when I visit Phuket I/O in couple of weeks time ????

Any info on your friend's agent reply? I guess many of us here who are on Volunteer visas will do 1st Covid extension this or next month... successfully, I hope ???? (as it seems the agents are not doing Volunteer visas anymore, this is the reply I got from 3 big agents, one of them did my Volunteer visa last year) -
This is not good news... Many people were relying on Covid extensions... I haven't heard of any rejections in other places like Phuket so far... News are they agents don't make Volunteer visa anymore, so ED is probably the only way left for many. @Coremouse did you check with agents if they can help somehow? Or maybe get vaccinated and fly in / out Cambodia, they canceled quarantine for tourists this week...

Great news ???? Do we still need to register on AOT (Airports Of Thailand) app for domestic flights?
-
Good advice ???? Do they still require registration on AOT (airports) app? I'll do HKT-BKK-HKT same day round-trip in a few weeks... Do they require GoPhuget registration only for arrivals, or departure out of Phuket as well? (I see there are both options there)
-
Thanks for the follow-up ???? Which airline was it? They didn't ask for hotel booking / house registration on check-in? Cheers.
-
Is this really a requirement for domestic flight arriving Phuket? I asked Vietjet for BKK->HKT and they said "only vaccine certificate required" (no hotel reservation)
-
Hi if you're still looking you can PM me, cheers.

If you don't mind sharing where you did it and for how much (if it was here in Thailand)? Thanks... I was thinking about Lasik for years but never did it... Not sure which one is better LRS or Lasik...

Entry after 1 Nov from an unlisted country
sallecc replied to Badger18's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Maybe they will keep Sandbox scheme for those coming from unlisted countries... Hopefully they will announce it soon, I have friends & family coming. -
Saw yesterday on Flightaware that Emirates Boeing 777 from Dubai to Phuket actually diverted to Krabi for some reason, and later flew from Krabi to Phuket... Strange didn't see this in the news, anybody know what happened?

Covid extension for STV?
sallecc replied to sallecc's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It was for my gf, they gave her 1st stamp as usual (to return on 28.10. for actual extension stamp). It should be 60 days after her STV extension expiry, not from application date... They didn't mention further extension, I think they will do it as long as government decides to continue Covid extensions every 2 months. -

That should be alright now when they extended it for another year. Good luck -
Covid extension for STV?

Big agent mentioned some "changes in Immigration mid-October", sounds like staff reshuffling, they say after that they will know more about visa conversions and $$$.... ???? -
Covid extension for STV?

Phuket. First we inquired in the room where they handle STV / long term visas, they said "yes of course you can get Covid extension for STV, just go upstairs"... On 2nd floor it was standard Covid extension procedure (I do it for my parents all the time), 3 forms, 1 photo, all signed passport copies + TM30, done in 1 hour, back 3 weeks later for "2nd stamp" (before it was 1 week later, now it's 3).
