Yep... Singapore is already open, Malaysia and Indonesia soon, and Philippines and Vietnam too... Plenty of great places to enjoy for years... BTW, agent just quoted 15k for 2 months CE, "buy now before it's gone"... lol ????

Hi Barry, my situation is exactly the same as yours, mine is due Feb/18. It seems we will need to wait a bit to let it clears up. Some says it's OK since we entered on TR, other says we are doomed since our current status is Non-O. Personally I will wait and see the reports from similar cases who will apply for extension in these few weeks, and then see what solutions will be offered from agents.

Especially if they have marriage (visa) ????

I didn't ask any agent yet... My 1st Covid extension (after VV) expires Feb/18 so I'll first wait and see what happens. I think pretty soon we will hear about brand new visa solutions from our agents, after they negotiate new deals with IO's. I'm pretty sure all of them are very busy now ???? And surely will come with ever increasing prices of course, same like each new version of mobile phone ????

I thought the new rule is about which visa you entered with, not which visa was the last active... I entered on TR, then changed to VV, then got 1st CE (Tourist>Volunteer>Covid.ext.)... Anyway let's see what @ubonjoe says... I think we all need to wait for this to settle down and let's see what each I/O will do... or agents ????

Will this rule affect those who entered on Tourist visa, but later changed to Volunteer visa ('agent assisted')? I'm sure there are lots of folks with this scenario... I entered 2020/01 and again 2020/03 on Tourist visa, then 2020/09 got Volunteer visa (via agent), then 2020/12 got 1 year VV extension, and last month 2021/12 VV expired and I got 1st Covid extension (via agent), expiring next month... Hope to get another Covid extension.

Did you try TVC? They said they could assist in OP's case (see their post above)

Yeah but does Samui has all those skyscrapers, endless apartment blocks, casinos, avenues and highways? It was built, used up, and left empty even before the pandemic, we all saw the news... Even here in small Kata village I saw more people walking around during the worst wave of the pandemic, than in this video of new Chinese Sihanoukville now when it's reportedly open for business... Just hoping that "red" progress will not actually come to Thailand. This here so far was nothing comparing to countries entrapped in 'Belt'n'Road' scheme... A story of a snake and frog comes to mind.

My 2nd is coming up in 4 weeks, I'll try to do it myself, a bit earlier (to give few days for an agent in case of failure), and I will try to remember to report it back here.

Thanks for this information, I had Volunteer Visa Extension which was canceled on expiry by an agent who then arranged my 1st Covid Extension... My 2nd Covid Extension is due next month (Phuket) hopefully I'll be able to do it myself, agent said it should be OK. Did you get your 1st Covid Extension yourself or via agent? (I couldn't do my 1st Covid Extension myself, agent did it)

Got my booking for Pfizer booster on Feb/5, in nearby Chalong hospital ????

My fiance from China got 2 Covid extension on top of her STV 270 days, without any problem or embassy letter, this was in Phuket immigration office. @Socheng you better contact an agent, if you know one in HH. If not then you can contact ThaiVisaCenter (they are advertising here) or PM me if you like I can ask an agent I know (in Phuket). Don't mind them, they have no idea what are they doing (website tech guys, and the folks who hired them)... I had 2x Sinovac, but when I applied for booster it said "sorry your 2nd shot was *not* Sinovac"... idiots ????

Just book it ASAP because Pfizer will be gone soon, don't mind their typos it's a Mickey Mouse website.
