I’m hiring it: McDonald’s Thailand adds Texas Chicken crew to menu

Interesting, from the point of view that the local oil company mentioned is nowadays, in many ways, a very capable diverse business organization which realised some years back that oil companies need to diversify. I worked for one of the biggest global oil companies for many years in several countries. Perhaps 10 or 12 years ago the company got serious: - They realized that total focus on oil and petroleum, fossil fuels, was not going to sustain long-term. - They realized they had substantial resources and infrastructure world wide and they did big investigation / research on what they should focus on / how they should diversify for revenues and margin as the world changed from fossil fuels. (Other big oil companies doing the same.) - My company decided the answer was food, every aspect of food. - Some oil companies are very successful in their step by step change to food (or whatever), some aren't. - Part of the situation is not understanding well enough the market for food. KFC spends very big and uses big many tools and activities to build and maintain their brand. Many of the companies who are new to this type of business. - One local company told their HR to find new staff who were well acquainted with building food brands. HR found a number of local people who had a masters degree in marketing but no real marketing experiences. The CEO's diversification committee (including several folks brought in from outside) didn't employ even one of these people. The HR manager was furious 'but they all have a masters degree'. I was asked to give some advice. I told the HR manager 'you're looking at the wrong items. The folks you found have no knowledge or experience with building brand and in building brand in the food / fast food industry. HR Manager insisted that my comment was not relevant, and insisted that the fact they had a masters degree was the most important point because if they attended meetings / seminars etc., they could give their business card and highlight that they had a masters degree. The HR manager saw impressing the other attendees with education qualifications impress the other attendees by saying they had a masters degree as the key point. I responded by quoting the very low revenue numbers and highlighting that very little money / resources was being spent of marketing and branding. HR manager insisted that was good 'saving money'. A later meeting more discussion with the HR manager and he and his senior staff were dismissed and quickly a whole new team employed, all given specific tasks re building brand. They are now making progress. -
There's also the possibility that his ego is so big he believes he is untouchable by assassins etc.

Remembering that the Social Security Fund has rules and regulations which must be adhered to: - All persons in permanent employment must become members of the SSF. - SSF members are required to pay a monthly contribution of 432Baht a month to the SSF.. Plus the employer is required to match that amount and the employer is required to transfer both amounts to the SSF by a deadline date each month. (Wonder how employers would react to / comply with this item?)

He's 11. therefore you could (if you wish) fully transfer ownership to him right now. But keep in mind that after transfer to a minor the property cannot be transferred out of his name until he reaches majority age and therefore legally entitled to make such a transaction / sign the appropriate documents.

BYD vehicles (not mentioned above) are very popular in Chiang Mai with good reports, you can see BYD cars on the roads here in CM.

I was in Australia for about 2 years. I maintained my AIS post pay account. when I wanted to pay a bill in Thailand I removed my Australian SIM and reinserted my AIS SIM. Then opened my internet banking for either K Bank or BBL. Transfer to pay a local (Thailand) bill worked every time. Then of course removed my AIS SIM and reinserted my Australian Telecom SIM.

Yes I remember LBJ. Because of his twisted policies my county restarted conscription but very strongly opposed for many years and I went to the war in Sth. Vietnam. Now receiving a hefty lifetime disability compensation payment which cancels when I die.

How old is your son? Don't believe anybody who tells you he needs to be 18 or 20 to own the condo, that's absolutely not true. It's been discussed / checked many time before, very young Thai children can own land / land & house / condo. To avoid all complications, why not transfer ownership to your Thai son now, and give you peace of mind.

Further, given trumps long ugly track record there's no doubt he would try anything with zero respect for the rules or ethics or morals. -
Thanks for your reply George. I tried to take a full screen shot but it falls back to the 'snip' that I took to send my original message to you. If I can take a full 'snip' of the page would that suffice? Or can you suggest a better way to take a full screen shot. And how do I set Zoom to 100%? Thanks.

This is a scan of the top of the page. The advertising (various advertisers) appears all the time on the right hand side. It continues down quite a lot making it difficult to see / read the real content on the page. It's annoying and it's a nuisance. Is there any way I can stop it? Thanks.

I already take 2 Saw Palmetto tabs around midday (as advised by a doctor at Suan Doc (Chiang Mai Uni Medical School) hospital to reduce the number of times I need to urinate during the night. Been taking Saw Palmetto for about one month and the number of time I need to urinate in the night time has reduced, now down to twice or even once per night (always with the feeling of 'need to pee' / never just sudden unwarned outflow in the bed). But sudden without warning outflow of urine (day time) has not reduced and is intermittent, sometimes once a day (yesterday whilst shopping at Makro Superhighway outflow suddenly started without warning, had to run to upstairs toilet leaving a trail of urine.) And sometimes 2 times per day (daytime only). Yesterday (22 Sept '24) I went to 3 big pharmacies and 2 smaller shops n Chiang Mai. All said DITROPAN tabs out of stock and date of resupply unknown. And I discovered DITROPAN tabs quite expensive. Thai adult Son called the pharmacy at Suan Doc hospital, DITROPAN out of stock but pharmacist mentioned when in stock and prescribed by Suan Doc doctor less than half the price of outside pharmacies. Arrival date of new stock unknown. So looking for any other suggestions of medication instead of DITROPAN for sudden urine outflow without warning. Any suggestions / advice much appreciated.

Strange. I'm aware from personal experience that foreigners can be subject to withholding tax when working as a consultant (with a WP) for a Thai company; paid monthly and withholding tax deducted monthly. The company had never before employed a foreigner, so they called the Thai Revenue dept., who asked if the foreigner already had a Thai Tax number. The answer was YES, then the Rev. Dept., advised to deduct withholding tax. Revenue Dept., officer also suggested the company concerned might like to (in the following January) help the foreigner to claim the withholding tax and that's what happened. In fact all very simple and the tax was refunded to me very quickly. -

Following is from a report in a source which cannot be quoted in Thailand, about 9 September 2024: " Income earned inside Thailand during retirement is the only income subject to tax, while personal income from pension, interest, or other income sources in your home country is not subject to income tax in Thailand. This creates a 100% tax-free retirement in Thailand." -
