A more interesting question is why her passion for her culture triggers you, and why you think you can determine her cultural identity better than she herself? BTW - latin is. a cultural identity, not a race.

    Understood. I would still go and explain everything. I think IO will be happier with that rather than ignoring the issue. They have long memories, and can make your life much more difficult than need be.
