Only if the licence is not in English.

If you have a foreign licence, that is in English, it is acceptable. If not must have an IDP, which is basically an English translation of your foreign licence. This only applies to a tourist. I think after three months you need to get a Thai licence to remain legal, but not too many genuine tourists stay for three months. Used my Aussie licence without a problem in both Pattaya and Phuket when on holiday. Now have two Thai licences, car and motorbike.

Do You Celebrate Western Holidays?
Nonsense. I remember Halloween in England as a kid in 1960. Ducking for apples and everything else. Granted not commercialised like it is today, but still celebrated. And it's been celebrated for hundreds of years before that.

Has the breakdown of society hit Asia yet?
The advent of Muslim immigration Simply will not assimilate. I remember the Vietnamese invasion after the war and all bs stories....living in one room growing rice the carpet etc. but they assimilated and became Aussies . Proud Aussies. Same with Italians, Greeks and Poms from bygone eras. Let me put a caveat on my comment that Muslims will never integrate Indonesian muslim people integrate well. They know what a good thing is. Middle Eastern Muslims people do not. They hate us. Tolerate us long as we pay tax to them. Bought some meat the other day. Displayed a halal slaughtered sticker. That costs money. So yes, I paid a Muslim tax in my own country.

Yeah, they know how to ride. Did the same when I was young . What's the point of your comment?

With the advent of Muslim immigration. Thank Whitlam for that. Classical communist act. Keep ( encourage) the people to keep fighting amongst each other and they forget to fight the government. Divide and rule. The Romans knew that. Then Authoriatism takes over. Notice how many unelected 'Commisioners' are being created. Laws until themselves at arm's length from government. Look at the EU for how well that ends. George Orwell was a gifted soothsayer.

You can thank multiculturalism for that. Embrace away! When Australia was a multinational country we didn't have too many problems, immigrants integrated into our society. Not so with multiculturalism.

All our Yesterdays, Who Remembers?
Before Dad bought the fish and chip shop, he worked for British Rail on the train ferries from Harwich to Zeebrugge. One of the perks was a railway pass which gave reduced price for the family. I was about 10 when me and a couple of mates took off to London on the train for the day. Got off at Liverpool Street and walked to Fenchurch Street to get the train to Tilbury docks to look at the ships on the Thames. Walked around the docks occassionally. Did this many times. The only caveat from Dad was not to get the ferry to Gravesend as it had a very bad reputation back then. Some people were in to train spotting, we were in to ship spotting It was wonderful to see the ships going and coming from what we thought were exotic places. In those days there were many Liberty ships from WW2 still in service as cargo ships. Container ships didn't exist. Imagine a 10 year old doing that these days. Times seemed so much easier back then.

So much for the Chinese policy if not interfering in domestic issues in another country. Not knocking what that have done, applaud it actually, but the hypocrisy....
