Just be happy that Immigration stopped the madness of all the required copies for 90 day.......just a TM-47 and you are out the door in less than 10 minutes........unless you do online or other method

No sympathy from me.
Who does he think he is that he lives rent free and stay as long as you want, time to wake up and deal with life.

Ya cant just fix the middle and expect it to work.
They need to start at Beach Road and clean all those storm drain culverts all the way back to the Dark Side.
they are chock a block full.......many of them are packed solid all the way up to flush with the asphalt on the street and they wonder why it floods when it rains.
In USA........the manholes are 10 feet deep and the drain pipe comes out at 6 feet.
So there is a 4 foot deep area that collects the sand and debris, then they go around once a year and clean out that 4 foot collection space.
Here in Thailand it is a 2 meter square box culvert with no sump........so all the debris just continues to build up and every year the drainage capacity gets lower n lower until there is none left........that equals flooding........I dont know why they dont get it????

Sad story.
I hate seeing stories about some people being mean to dogs.........they are so caring and loyal I dont know how anyone can ever be mean to a dog.

Immigration should be commended for the extremely efficient service at Chiang Mai and also Jomtien.
I havent lived in Jomtien since 2014 but from 2005-2014 when I did live there.......in my opinion they did a very good job...........hope it is even better now.

When I was in the market.......years ago.......I MUCH PREFERRED the “business model” at Bliss Lounge-You and Me-The Pumphouse-the French place on Soi 33- Excite- and the other bars that specialized in that aspect of entertainment.
lolol and don’t forget the Telephone Bar on Soi Batman.......that place is beyond words and there is a good reason they keep the door locked at all times.
Just go for yourself n see....LOLOLOL be prepared

I was like most guys first time in Pattaya.....heaven on earth and I want to open a bar and have all THIS for me.....every day....all day~!!
My buddy and I would “honeymoon” 3 times a day with a different bride each time.
For me, it only took about 3 weeks for that to get old.
I was stationed in Kuwait and had 2 weeks off every 8 weeks.
After coming to Pattaya a few times, it was recommended to go see Chiang Mai.
Not wanting the bargirl scene, went to dating site, put in Thailand-Female-age range and sent e mail to 5 or 6, a few wrote back.
Came here met her and she has been with me ever since, absolute best 11+ years of my life.
I am 66 she is 60......that’s a big key to success, get one your own age, not 1/2 or less of your age.
Dont expect a short time to turn into a long happy life........it has a 99% failure rate.
Probably everyone of us here knows someone who has made the mortal mistake of expecting a long happy marriage to a YOUNG bargirl, it just don’t happen. The

I am 67, my Thai wife is 60........We started out with Housekeeper twice a week and a short boring story....even shorter now we have her 6 days a week.
She can take care of everything, the pool, the yard, planting, the dogs, she helps me take care of my bees, she paints, goes shopping with my wife so she doesnt have to do everything herself.
She was a laborer when this house was being built, she cleans the grout joints in the floor with a toothbrush and soooooo much more, too much to describe.
She is not a Housekeeper, she is family, when we go on vacation we take her and her 9 y o son with us.
I pay her 600 a day, we put her in a brand new apartment 2 yrs ago, we send her son to English class all day on Saturday..........its a good life for her and her son since the Thai husband buzzed off with some other girl 3 yrs ago...........
I worked 47 yrs and my Thai wife worked in Contractor Sales building supplies for 25 yrs..........its time to just enjoy every day of the days we have left........having Am with us 6 days a week.......some of the best money I ever spent.
If we go away out of the country, they stay in the house while we are gone to take care of house, dogs, pool, and bees.

I know there is alot of confusion on this.......is it 3 months, 2 months, 1 yr?
2 days ago I had to get my 90 day check, went to Chiang Mai Immigration, in person, brought my bank book and showed them what gets deposited every month, she assured me-it is only a 3 month requirement, I asked her twice and told her I was asking because of all the rumors about how long the money has to be in there.
I have my money direct deposited to Bangkok Bank New York City......
She was telling me for the second time....ONLY 3 months.......when a guy with 2 stripes came and he also looked at my bank book and said YOU WONT HAVE A PROBLEM.
Thats all I can tell ya~!!!

I am still in search of pristine live vibrant coral.
It is increasingly harder to find anywhere in the world.
From 87-89 Ilived in Hawaii and used to Spearfish with colleagues almost every Sunday.
Many places were indescribable, beauty beyond words, Olawalu Maui was one, water so crystal clear, it was like air and every color of the spectrum.
2 yrs ago we were in Maldives, even at a sandbar / atoll 45 minutes offshor, the coral was 85% dead, brown or bleached white, very few fish and nothing bigger than 10 cm.
In March we stayed at Khao Lak and I chartered a private boat to North n South Surin Islands, before I booked the boat, I told them what I wanted to see which was live coral, nice colors, lots of fish........lolol they assured me we would.......NOT even close.
I asked the Captain of the boat, which is better Similan or Surin.........he said Surin..........so that means after seeing Surin, I never need to go to Similan.
Maybe Raj Ampat Indonesia........they swear the coral you will see matches the pictures on the website.........been fooled too many times.
70% of The Great Barrier Reef is effected and at least 50% of that 70% has no chance of ever getting revived.
Coral is e extremely fragile, it cant tolerate any development or more than a 2 degree temperature change in surrounding waters.

GOOD......I fully support this move.
Having lived and worked in countless countries in my 47 yr Oil n Gas career, I can attest to the point.......we are guests of the country we are in, whether on a 1-2 week holiday or a 2 yr work assignment, we are guests.......act appropriately.

All u get here is uninformed opinions.......go to the land office and ask........get the FACTS........if you are going to do it, you need to go there anyway.
someone in the office of the condo, the Jurassic person should know the details but maybe not exact amounts........go to the land office

Thanks I will try that next time and only fill required boxes.
mine never seems to work either

If you decide to hire an attorney.
Take a look at Siam Legal, good lawyers, some western trained and speak English.
I have used them on 2 cases and maybe a 3rd coming up, I am very happy with their service provided.

There is a German couple that everyone in the Moo Baan has had a problem with at one time or another.
I ended up punching him out in his driveway about 4 yrs ago, not smart, almost got my Visa revoked after the lies him and his wife told at the police station.
Fortunately we have family in the Police and Immigration in Bangkok and it was resolved.
They both suffer an ACUTE case of Obsessive Compulsive Complaining Disorder.
They complained for over 2 yrs the streetlights are too bright and even requested a street light on an adjacent Soi over 100 meters from their house is blinding them and they want it removed.
It is not even a proper streetlight, it is a fluorescent tube.......lol and it BLINDS them 100 meters away.
They are certified NUTS.
He shoots neighborhood dogs and cats with a slingshot and throws fireworks at them.
I saw him viciously beat his own dog, kick it hard, pick it up and throw it across the Soi.
I put up CCTV cameras in front of my house.......LOLOLOLOL that really set them OFF.
They came to me........I didn’t mince my words when I told them what they can do.
Next they went to the police station.
Police asked me to come by........I brought 5 video captures off the CCTV and showed the police WHY I installed cameras plus I brought the determination from Siam Legal that there is nothing illegal about my camera placement.
I sent videos to Siam Legal showing why the cams are there and also what the field of view of each cam shows and provided a legal ruling in writing.
Such scumbags...........they complain about EVERYTHING.
They called Immigration twice on the Brit guy building 2 houses here and reported his workers don’t have Work Permits.......joke is on them AGAIN, they did have proper Work Permits.
It seems like no matter what country or where you live there seems to always be neighbors from hell.

Both of mine take Kick Boxing
-
It is my understanding you can only do online reporting 15-7 days before your due date
-
I would choose almost ANYWHERE over Pattaya.
Pattaya gets worse every year.
