  1. I went to this one in Vietnam. Very funny. Carnival atmosphere with a lot of families.
  2. I am talking about the vaccination level in Chonburi. I doubt a non vaccinated Thai National living in Hat Yai, for example, is in danger from catching covid from a 2 week tourist to Pattaya. It was more than 70% for Chonburi some months ago. It's now 69% for Thailand. https://ourworldindata.org/covid-vaccinations?country=THA Your figures are outdated. Try to keep up.
  3. I agree with you. Most are snowbirds here now. Just saying, until they scrap all possibility of being banged up on your 2 week holiday, the masses will not / can not return. They have vaccinated the population to a satisfactory level, I see no reason why they don't open up, completely, other than perhaps a hospital capacity issue.
  4. Not a mass murderer, but botulism can kill. Not that she would care, as long as she makes a few baht.
  5. One particular member who said it would never happen must continue to be gutted - love it! ????
  6. Except for tourists on a 2 week holiday here who can get banged up with a positive test.
  7. A lot of these casinos on the borders cater for Thai's. What's a ban on casinos actually achieving here? I would implement something like the casino model in Vietnam. Only Vietnamese Nationals earning over a certain amount can enter the gaming rooms. In reality, no Vietnamese are allowed into the gaming rooms. All other casino facilities are open to them, like restaurants etc, but not gaming. With a similar model here, I don't see the harm to Thai Nationals.
  8. It would become a tourist attraction. 5 Star multi level hotel for stay dogs. They could put a night club or Thai karaoke downstairs to drown out the barking. ????
  9. Once the media got a hold of the story, they will have to be seen as coming down hard on such behaviour. This definitely warrants being sent to an inactive post. ???? On a serious note, the police should interview young members of this guy's family. They may find child porn and evidence of sexual assault.
  10. Because they are broke. Thailand is broke. Now's the best time to sell it, and it's not a hard sell, to the Thai people.
  11. And why wouldn't they, when Thailand is surrounded by countries that have casinos? Even Thai Nationals are crossing borders to hand over their money to neighbouring countries. It's good for their economy. Instead of repelling gambling revenue, they can embrace it and profit from it.
  12. So when a Chinese junket tour of high rollers get flown into Australia on a private jet, for free, you think all the brothels in your Australian city make more money than the "whales" lose in money. It's millions, if not hundreds of millions of dollars, and that's just the high roller room, not to mention the many more tables down stairs where regular gamblers play. Lady Drinks and Bar Fines, and some fool ringing a bell here, are no match for gambling, especially Chinese gamblers who are looking to get their money out of China.
  13. April 2022. https://www.forbes.com/sites/dariosabaghi/2022/01/27/thailand-has-become-the-first-asian-country-to-decriminalize-recreational-cannabis/?sh=59bfabc94b21 "After being published in the official Royal Gazette, the regulation will enter into force after 120 days." " Once the law is approved, the king will sign it, and the changes will enter into force around April 2022."
  14. Aren't you the one that said cannabis would never be legalized here? ???? Gamblers lose more money than mongers pay for sex. Only a matter of time.
  15. Probably got a lot of concrete cancer by now. No one wants to pay for it's removal.
  16. With a few modifications, it would make a good pound for all the soi dogs. ????
  17. Surely a photo of some Thai guys in Hazmat hosing down a road and sidewalk will convince the US military to allow their personal off the ship. ????
