  1. Once again, Harry, ATR 72's hold 72 passengers. A coach bus holds around 58 passengers. Very near Same Same.
  2. They were not busy, pre covid. Your guarantee doesn't hold much weight.
  3. It's not about the differences in skills and training required for each occupation, it's about the similarity with the amount of lives in the hands of the pilots / drivers, but I guess the maths is too hard you.
  4. ATR 72 planes hold 72 people. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATR_72 Scroll down. Bangkok Airways has 13 ATR 72's in it's fleet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangkok_Airways The King Long coaches can hold 64 passengers. http://kinglong-bus.com/patch/news/d/8945/ 64 is not far away from 72. The pilot has to undergo training to international standards, where as Somchai, the coach bus driver, with 64 people's lives in his hands, probably paid a bribe for his licences and is on 300 baht a day. In the event of an emergency landing, the pilot will try to find an open space to land, where as Somchai may crash his bus into an oncoming vehicle. When you add the lives of the people in the on coming vehicle to those on his bus, it's possible Somchai, the bus driver, has more lives in his hands than the pilot of the ATR 72. Somchai, the bus driver, can even hit trains here. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-54497497 Quote: "Traffic collisions are common in Thailand, with poor safety standards and busy roads thought to be key factors. A 2018 report from the World Health Organization (WHO) said Thailand had the second-highest traffic fatality rate in the world."
  5. You should find connected devices under "network" or similar. Obviously, the device you are using to view the router software should show up somewhere in the software. The "Fing" app is a great app. Easy and quick install, and scan of the network. Don't forget, it has to be on your router's WiFi signal.
  6. How many organizations, all around the world, would have paid the guy 10 times more than the value of the bananas to not kill the elephant.
  7. This shop comes up a lot on these threads. I have seen their window display, but never been inside. Can they pressure test watches?
  8. Transport is an essential service. You either take your chances and get on, or walk. Both are not good options.
  9. That's good. Pattaya has a shortage of tourist accommodation. ????
  10. I guess you wouldn't be happy after queuing and waiting to be told you need some random BS form and told to come back again.
  11. With the Chinese and Indians, and to some extent the Russians, making up the majority of the tourists to Pattaya, these people can buy the products that are for sale in the Pattaya malls cheaper in their own home country than in Thailand, so why would they buy in the malls here?
  12. Ok. The use of a LAN cable is the best connection you can have. Could there be leaches on your internet? If you can go into your router, you will be able to see connected devices. If you see unknown devices on your network, change the WiFi password and lock them out. If you can not go into your router, go to the Google Play Store on your phone and install the "Fing" app and scan your network. It will list all the connected devices.
  13. I mean, if the Thai government guarantees 1 million baht deposits, do they double guarantee 2 million baht deposits? ????
  14. It would be interesting to know just how exposed Thai banks really are, especially with Thailand having record household debt even before covid.
  15. I'm an afternoon poster, Scuba. It's most likely unrecognizable to many as it's a Russian gogo. Yes, we tend to forget that many establishments were struggling, and for sale, way before covid, hence this thread.
  16. Is the android box connected via WiFi? If so, move it a short distance from where it is and try again.
  17. That's a shame, because a lot of tourists like a game of pool in between their meal courses. ????
  18. Not sure if the rent will be 250k baht or 210k baht a month when the covid care taker discount ends, but I can't see this place paying the rent, let alone recouping the 6 million baht purchase price. https://www.bahtsold.com/view/european-gogo-club-take-over-walking-street-446416
  19. Scroll back, Harry. The figures are there. I mentioned ATR 72's, not 737's.
