If your commissioning an architect then why not try to see if this option is available? A decent progressive architect can select a builder who will work to your spec's not his own. There are some really cool Western/Thai build style fusion architects in BKK. https://becowallform.co.uk/insulated-concrete-formwork-icf-system/ I can't say whether this is available in LOS but this modular brick-like polyurethane system is filled with concrete and reo and is used in Europe a bit now as an alternative to heavy 'form shutter' systems and is amazing. The foam system (link supplied) is simple and fast to erect, trim, and fill with crete and allows for waterproofing and rendering fastening systems that are super easy. Many of these products are eco-friendly too. Its super insulating as well with an amazing thermal mass index. If you're going to use a hollow reo filled block system than go for a wide block not the thin ones so often used here. Lateral, vertical compression strength, with thermal mass and sound insulation being far better than the thinner blocks. Make sure for all structural walls the architect uses 12 mm reo bar throughout too not the rubbish 4mm to 7 mm they use everywhere here. 7mm mesh minimum in all floor slabs AND properly 'chaired and tied' where necessary. Simply pulling up mesh with the hands as crete is poured does not work as the mesh will sink to the bottom/lower part of the slab, and weaken it, and if exposed underneath will invite rusting - BAD!

Draft Prostitution Law To Set Voluntary Service At Minimum 20 Years
Tropposurfer replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Acknowledge this 'activity' as being unstoppable through penalty and other suppressive mechanisms. Provide good free healthcare, nationwide contraception, far better single mother and orphan care, enforcement of patrimony when children are born and left here or there i.e supporting the cultural norm of families living together many generations but not allowing fathers to abandon their children through whatever mechanism they contribute to/create and leave women with babies with zero support, better social, economic, and educational transitioning for all of society not just the 1% who hold all the wealth in the nation.- 145 replies

Draft Prostitution Law To Set Voluntary Service At Minimum 20 Years

The oldest profession albeit some would argue it is the systematic exploitative endemic process in humanity itself that enables said profession. -
hahaha ???????????????? Reminds me of the good old days of cowboys and corruption in Queensland with the long time Premier Joh Bjekle-Peterson. His mate Russ Hinze was Minister for Roads and Transport I think it was. He owned, built a massive gravel and aggregate business empire of the back of huge (all) the contracts to supply the Queensland Government with every stone and every ton of sand used to build roads, railways, etc across the state. After he became Minister his small business exploded! He became a multi-millionaire of of the back of those contracts. He yelled loudly as did Peterson that there was; 'No conflict iof interest to se here.' lol ???? Priceless!

I'm one for compassion and forgiveness but every time I hear of people importing drugs like meth n smack (anywhere in the world) I I honestly admit my gut, my first instinct, is to say do as Malaysia and Singapore do and end their lives. No jail sentences. Just take their lives as they intend to take the lives of others and make misery for the many dozens of people severely affected by the addicts plight.

I thought healthcare in Thailand was supposed to be cheap?

I have basal cell carcinoma's (by excision), and skin keratoses removed regularly at both BKK in Phuket and BNH in BKK when I/we take a trip up and I pay nothing like the fees you are quoting. If you are talking melanoma these are whole different kettle of deadly fish!!! Melanoma's require far more complex diagnosis and treatment and this cost a lot more than the reasonably simple basal cell, or keratoses cancer treatments. A melanoma removal in NSW can easily go upwards of $800 (this is for a very small sized cancer). Last basal cell carcinoma excision on my back was 3000 baht for perfect 1st class service. This included was my usual total body examination, checking of this new-examination against my previous mapping for consideration and treatment, and biopsies of two areas (including the one excised that day). Thats less than $130 AUD. Well worth the gentle, perfect clinical care I received at BNH. All my antibiotic's included. I have insurance which covers everything ... but the full-fee charged, prior to my insurance covering the cost, was far less than cost in Australia. If you are seeing a dermatologist (which I would always recommend) ... they are far superior on diagnosing and removal of cancerous lesions, and do far neater work with the knife, and I always have far less after-pain than from the old days of Skin Cancer Clinics in Oz. Their needle and thread work is darn good too. You are always going to pay more here than at a Medicare supported Oz Skin Cancer Clinic services performed by GP's back home, cause they aint' dermatologists. General (averages) list of fees in Oz for Dermatologist skin cancer work: Initial consult $275 to $350 AUD excision $250 AUD > biopsy $150 AUD > -

On a laterally related subject we watched an HBO documentary the other evening called 'Navalny' which mirrored my old friend Katyas experiences as a freelance journalist. Kat had to flee St Petersburg some years back and cannot return to Russia for fear of being killed or arrested and disappeared like so many others. The doco. painted a pretty dark picture of Russia. Complete dismantlement of any sense of free speech. Social media platforms banned and replaced by State run entities. No free press, assassinations, beatings of opposition, dissidents voiced folks by non-uniformed thugs in the pay of the State, FSB spies and informants throughout society. People snatched off the streets in broad daylight. Those who aren't all in with Putin are controlled with terror. Deportations to gulags and other prisons for years with no formal convictions under bizarre fascist/quasi old-communist block laws of detention. All this wrapped in an endless cycle of misinformation, and brainwashing of the populace.

Neighbours CCTV camera

If you can maybe plant a lovely tall green hedge/screen and spend time nurturing them so they grow nice n healthy, green, and tall (narrow growth habit species of course). You can buy these 'Asoka trees' (Saraca asoca) in quite mature sizes in LOS from good landscape nurseries (ask a decent property developer if your having trouble and they'll steer you to a nursery). You describe the fella as a 'bit of a bully'. Screening like this - tastefully and structurally well done will beautify your garden/home and separate you from him as well. If the space is concrete and really narrow between your land and the boundary line maybe add a framed wire screen on your side of the property to extend up above the top of the existing wall/fence height and see if you can grow a green wall with beautiful Chinese/Star jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides). Some water regularly, a bit of plant food every now and then and this species will thrive (and its easy to prune and keep tight to a wire trellis and smells divine). In LOS it will tolerate lower light and still grow well. -

Simply put up a blind e.g. 2 poles hammered into the ground add a sheet of light plywood between those on your side of the property close to the camera. -
Look up Antique Roadshow (BBC Britain) ... send them good pics of any markings and perspectives of the jewellery as well as dimensions they'll help you for sure.

Yo Mike, Its a fun place that's for sure. So much to see, do, and explore. I/we enjoy our trips north for visits too. I imagine in my childlike creative mind quiet clean electric and natural gas busses, small tram systems spiderwebbed in the outer areas before the urban sprawl consumes too much space so the future will need less cars as the city expands. More peddle powered taxi's (rickshaws), reopening of khlongs and great khlong cleaning systems, more trees. building those amazing green walled building. all over the place.

Yep you are right Dr. love has nothing to do with abuse. Sadly a large proportion of the entire world has a decidedly distorted inner experience of and translation of what love is. If I had an extra dollar for every person who has sat in my consulting rooms over the years of my practicing and told me about how their parents hit (beat) them, terrorised them and controlled them with fear and shame, and then 'mind-<deleted>' them by telling them it was because they loved them I'd be a heck of a lot richer than I am.
