Don’t You Want To?: Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang?

If they can make a good cup of cocoa before I sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, I would be interested. -
Thank you very much for such an insight into the meaning of children's English nursey rhymes, AN. Just what adult English speakers in ASEAN are interested in. I don't think anybody guessed that an old man going to bed, bumping his head, and being unable to get up in the morning meant that he had passed away.

Tracking license plate in hit and run? Possible?
JeffersLos replied to JeffersLos's topic in General Topics
Oh I'm sure that they can, simply at the station on a computer with the registration database, or by calling the car registration office and saying they are police officer whatever and they want the name and address for the following license plate. It's obviously a bit too much work for them though, and the money it might cost to get them to do it might be wasted anyway if the owner says it was an old employee that has since left and doesn't agree to pay etc. -

Our car was parked and was hit by a pickup truck, which then drove away. It severely damaged the rear door and and also the rear fender. Shops estimate the repair at 6 or 7 thousand baht. We have the CCTV stills and can see the license plate letters and numbers. The province at the bottom isn't clear but we presume it it from the same province as the incident. It is a workman's vehicle with building piping in the rear and an unclear logo on the driver's door. The police are not interested and have done nothing. Is there a way to get the ownership information of the vehicle so we can contact them or give the information to the police? TIA.

We would like to cover a 2.5x8m concrete area next to our house. We would rather not break into the concrete base with pilings. 2x8m rood is sufficient. We use it to park scooters etc. It also has 2 AC compressors on the house wall side, so we would rather keep it concrete and not turn it into a grass area. Cheaper and easier option are probably to cover it with a tarp or a metal roof, but we would rather put in a tiled roof. Instead of breaking the concrete to place in concrete pilings, would 2m high steel or wooden beams be able to be bolted into the concrete ground, or even better wooden beams that can then connect to wooden beams that connect to the house wall that supports the roof tiles? Or does the concrete need to be broken? What is the approximate cost of having a 2x8 meter tiled roof with 2m tall supports built? TIA.

Thankfully they haven't fully embraced the American love of shooting lots of people daily. There were more than 2 mass shootings per day in America over the first 6 months of 2023. There were a few yesterday. There'll be a few tomorrow. There'll be a few the day after that. Hopefully not in schools, as is often their wont. -
We ran a Camry for 300,000 miles in California, so use one here too. It would take something created by Oppenheimer to kill it.
