  1. Yesterday I decide to go to central pinklaow, generally I stop at Lotus just few blocks away.

I find myself in a good supermark.

    Goat milk Yoghurt

    Yoghurt natural

    Organic cheese

    Baguette whole meal (still warm)

Very good array of smoke goods

Tuna in olive oil (what I saw 18 months ago in Lotus but never been shelve again)

And many more, is this common in central?

  2. Randell

You should not be scare of CCcleaner, systems need to be clean at time, and every few years reinstall the OS (operating system) is good

The points I give to my friend are

You know where you save your files

Have a external backup with all you files

Have all disc / drivers you need

  3. My feeling is they do not generally, but in Bangkok they is a place who do cremation for animals, i saw the leaflet at the vet once, i did not take it.

i hope my pet has few years more to enjoy my company.

My friend took his dog to a temple he know and ask the abbot if he can be buried on the ground, they said yes and find a spot for him, near the garden!

    Donation was few thousand baht

  4. I still do not agree you need to take a lost.

Is he farang or is he thai trying to get your share for peanuts?

What really happen before with the purchase contract?

If everything is in order, I will go to court, market value hopefully will be the value he need to give you for you to walk away or you to give him for him to walk away !

You have 50% of right in the place, not sure if the utilities are in two names, and where go the rent.

If he has the upper hand with the contract or he is Thai with knowledge you sign something you not award off.

    Take what he offer..

  5. Can not answer as well

I bought a linksys WAG325N I am with true as well.

I got a constant drop of lines, forgot the download …

I ring numerous time True, they told me my firewall incompatible with them, I ring Linksys service (Philippine) they told me no problem with my modem, I came to conclusion TRUE using old hardware.

True suggest me to get they own modem, I remind them the last modem I got from them was not good & why I bought my own.

Hope you more lucky as i am.

  6. I think I was the first one using the ‘shop around “in this post!

That bit flame some of you!

If you are a ‘Yes’ man and do not know the way to move around, I am sure you will find difficult to retired before the minimum retirement age (50 year old) and you choice will be for a 2 * 60 visa at normal embassy.

With a Thai bank book well maintain, at the embassy in Paris I could not get any thing over.

If embassy staffs for you are the legitimate people to control your life that find to me.

I email people, I call people and talk to them, I give them my situation, and if they reply in a positive manner and are happy to issue me with a flexible visa I do not find myself cheating the system at all.

They know what they are doing & as I said they required some form of financial prove.

Now I have been here for over 11 years on a tourist visa, perhaps one day if the situation change will look at a retirement visa, but do not see the benefice.

I just said to the Opp what I did, as he wants to retired at 36 and I was 39 when I done it.

If the consulate issues me a visa, it is legitimate for me, if one do not want to, I will ‘shop around’ to see what else I can do.

  7. Your one year means a multiple entry visa.

There have been several reports that Perth will do a non-o to visit friends.

There is even an ongoing topic about it in the pinned topic about the latest reports of getting a visa at the top of page one of this forum.

Has anyone had any experience with Brisbane for the same?

Gary, they are very good there (Brisbane)

yes, Udonjoe, 1 year multiple entry, I have to do a visa run every three months as well.

Much more easy to handle as a 2*60 days I can only get in Paris

Or a 3*90 days I use to get in other part of Australia.

Every time I am out Thailand I do not loose a entry

  8. huh?????? :):D

    :D:D

    annoyed / unsure

    I will clarify my post.

Some consulates are more king to issue a 1 year visa.

Melbourne / Sydney is not on of them, I will not comment or disclose the one I am using.

Friendly consulates VS non friendly embassy or consulate.

After 5 -6 years running around, I email the consul and ask him in my situation if he could issue me with one year visa.

Now I get a one year visa without a problem, I am not married or have kids, just want to live here.

I presume if the opp want to retired under 40, he is in a good financial situation.

That is one of the condition (financial is an important part to be approve)

I have not be ask to apply for a retirement, I am 51 now, will do it is need it.

  9. I am danish, 36 years, on early retirement. Is it possible for me to live in Thailand?

It seems like my only option is touristvisa - if that is really true, for how long can I then renew this kind of visa in order to keep up my life in Thailand?

    Regards Baron72.

Baron, I early retirement as well in Thailand at 39-40 years/old, that was 11 years ago.

At the beginning I got a 1 year visa / multiple journeys (2 years), later on I received only some 3*3 visa (3 years)

Then I find a more understanding consulate who issues me a 1 year visa (5-6 years).

Shop around, my country is not Europe

Need to said, they like to see some financial stability !

  10. My wife tells me she does not need to show id for withdrawl, they check the invisible signature only,

My bank told me over Baht 15000 (i think) they do ask ID for withdraw

  11. The only certificates I know from Yawalat are the one mentioning where the purchases made from and they will guaranty a buy back at the shop.

This certificate cost 50 baht, as the gold-shop is well know + have stamp on the item, you surely do not need it.

    Just one more gimmick

Gold purchase in Chinatown ( yawalat is pretty safe ) I bought / sold without any surprise in the pass .

But you can be sure said: if gold tomorrow, jump 20% shop will not buy it from you at this value, they will wait & see approaches.

In Australia one gallery was selling paintings with a buy back guaranty! When the gallery shut is doors, this promise was terminated.
