  1. In Thailand, I do not take face value with what the first person tell me, I deep in to find a better solution, sometime it work sometime not

Did you ring the main center?

If yes, did you spoke to the manager regarding this cost? Or customer service ?

Electrolux is in my top list if I need to buy a new washing machine and dryer, but if what you said is definitely, I will reconsider my next brand when mine zanucchi gone.

one the brochure i have with washing machine & dryer the customer care number is 027180200

But i use the New Petchaburi road Bangkapi service 027259000

  2. I am a bit surprise, Electrolux have a good reputation on costumers service, I bought a washing machine and dryer (Zanucchi) 12 years ago, and Electrolux is doing my maintenance, I find the quote price for parts and service to be very fair.

I directly ring the main center / New petchburi road Huay Kwang / house appliances 027259100 laundry system 027259100

For you parts i think they have a Amorn (if that is correct) in the old siam, they have many spare parts

  3. I think it depend where you live.

The best quality food I find for me at a super market are Top or BigC Central Pinklaow, it was really down for long time, as soon as Lotus open next door a total renovation where made, good product there.

I like Carrefour, and the big C in sapankwai is good too

Lotus will be my less favorite

Villa market sold me few time some ham and product who were off and they change the expire dates sticker, they lost my business

Sometime I go to Macro, they have frozen blueberry, and smoked salmon there

  4. never had problem using my NAB or ANZ visa (australia)

the conversion rates is good (thai baht to AU$)

they take 3,25% charges for oversea purchase, it is why i stop using them (bank in australia) not Lotus or BC

in pantip they ask to see my passport and charge 1.75% extra on the bill

  5. I find even Vietnamese civet coffee inferior in taste to the better arabicas from N Thailand. BTW there is now wild Thai civet coffee available but even there, the whole civet concept seems like a case of the emperor's new clothes to me.

Thank for the link, the wholesale price look very fair.

Next time will get some from them

Sometime I paid over 2000 baht for a kilo in emporium, generally I got mine in Australia, price vary from 25AU$ to 40AU$

The top range on the site Doi Chang is 68$ for 5 pound.

My concern is, I think I try this brand few years ago & was not so impresses with it, will try again.

I will live the Civet coffee to the vietnam or indonesian

  6. we buy 100's of kilos of norwegian salmon and only pay 470 THB/kilo. So Makro still makes a BIG margin on the salmon and they may even get it at a better price than us.

Are you buying your 100 kilo pack per 100 grams

if you sell it, how much you charge for 100 grams

i presum it is for restaurant

  7. Many coffee addicts have told me they love Vietnamese coffee - haven't tried it myself, as had to give up caffeine.

Vietnamese coffee is actually inferior to the best Thai coffees, but they are prepared well, so many people enjoy them anyway. Lao coffee is probably as good as Thai coffee, but the beans are roasted correctly and all of that.

    Do not agree.

They have first the civet café; second production of robusta is for the mass, if you know where to go you will get some Arabica of high quality

    You mean in Vietnam ?

Best coffee bean I got in my life was there!

I try most of Thailand coffee bean the last 11 years, so disappointed, sometime i will got to paragon and get some bland at exorbitant price ( 2750 kilo)

I mainly get my source from Australia / Melbourne in & grams, bit expensive at $40 a kilo but nice

  9. Thanks all for the input on the Side by Side refrigerators.

Interesting that bonobo has had repair issues on Samsung- have heard the same from a few others. I read astral has Samsung and I assume no repairs/problems.

Anyone know if Smeg or Electrolux have Pattaya service centers?

Not sure if current but worth trying..

    ELECTROLUX THAILAND CO., LTD.

    97/32, Moo. 6, Pattaya Klang,

    PATTAYA 20260

    038429010

i will go for electrolux if i need to buy a new fridge or washer.

they all time give me a good service with my zanucchi

  11. simcity,

    Thanks for the interesting models.

It looks like to order a HP Pavilion (dv3t) from US is cheaper then buy it in Thailand.

In the Old Siam, i saw the HP dv3, nice looking

price was about 24000 baht, only 1 gig ram, that was on monday.

Asus i like as well, the HP Envy look good to me at this stage.

I will wait for the window7 and see what available around march next year

will let the Mac users pack of wolfs chewing on the meat truck for a while !
