It does not seem to be a problem, just the check in staff being helpful,

so you do not find yourself with an expired passport, and hence Illegal.

Perth and Brisbane have a much better reputation.

Still sad to see, most hotels will charge hundred extra for you to have pleasure of few days break with you companion.

I don't think you will have a problem. I can't see anything on the embassy website that says they won't. Contact them and ask.

You will be under 6 months validity left on your passport and could be denied entry.
