Alcohol, the sand and water of the beaches, and the air outside at night between 11pm and 4am, so a responsible government makes sure you don‘t get exposed to them. Also if you are with some friends, and, God forbid, drinking alcohol together, then the virus gets super powers. Banning all that, it’s only for your protection, don’t you see that?

Since Denmark, Norway, and Sweden have open schools but no Covid19 hotspots in schools whatsoever it would appear that school closures are not the super-lockdown measure they were touted to be.
Wholly unnecessary in light of the experience in Denmark, Norway, Iceland and Sweden.
Exactly.
As so many epidemiologists and virologists said from the beginning: Protect and isolate the old and sick and that's it, the virus will come and go, whatever you do, you only keep it around longer if you slow it down by closing the schools.-

QuoteSo by your logic Al Qaeda, the PLO, Boko Haram, all other terrorist organisations, pedophiles, necrophiliacs, bestialty and all other offensive content should be allowed or is censorship not right just when it suits you and your views?
Replying to that question about censoring and illegal content I replied with mentioning the first amendment covering free speech and laws covering illegal activities.
In extension to that, dominant monopolies such as Twitter, FakeBook and Google/Youtube should in my humble opionion not be allowed to censor. They are not operating in a private niche anymore.
And before you start again that they would not be censoring but fact checking, please note that I simply hope that out of this discussion comes something which stops them censoring. Or do you really think censoring is good? I don‘t.

So by that equation how is Brazil doing? No lockdowns, 26,417 new cases of the virus and 1,156 new deaths raising the total to 438,238 cases and 26,754 deaths. I guess they must be following your posts and decided that because just one country was currently successful then thats all the evidence needed.
I‘m flattered that you think they might follow my posts here. ????
Please keep in mind that Brazil is a huge country, and a country with a lot of problems.
QuoteBrazil is the fifth most-populous country on Earth and accounts for one-third of Latin America’s population.
Source: https://www.britannica.com/place/Brazil
Thus, if you look at the absolute numbers, high numbers are to be expected.
There is too much poverty there already, huge favelas, masses of people for whom a lockdown would be not only ineffective to stop infections, but deadly. Obviously very difficult to protect the elderly there.
Nevertheless the curves will also there go up, reach a peak, and go down again, whatever they do, and whatever I say.

I have not said that Twitter censored him.
However I have said that I hope he stops social media from censoring, with the example of Google / Youtube censoring words the CCP does not like.
Do you think it is ok that they do that?-

It seems to be ignored by most of you, but there is a pattern where countries show very similar curves in infections, whether they locked down or not. In fact, there is even some stats from US states showing lockdowns have had no effect at all. That trend is also being observed between countries.
Indeed, ignored by quite a few here, which apparently have too much time and nothing better to do than to repeat the same claims all day long. I have the 3 main ignorants in my ignore list by now, it was just too much time wasted to read the same collection of half-truths and misinterpretations again and again.
A single country showing a drop of new cases without having had lockdowns is enough to prove that lockdowns are not required. And it is not just one, but there are many, Japan, South Korea, Cambodia, Taiwan, and so on. But no, they continue to claim that lockdowns are an absolute requirement, „the“ requirement.
And the countries which ease the lockdowns without that causing the cases to go up again, such as Austria, to name just one. Ignored, they continue to claim that lockdowns are the requirement.
It really seems that they like lockdowns, enjoy them. Or they just too scared and desperate, cannot think logically anymore.
Unless you have nothing better to do, I think the best is to ignore these ignorants.

This has nothing to do with my views, or your views.
You might not have heard of it, but the USA have a constitution, and that constitution has a First Amendement, which is among others about free speech.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution
Currently Google, FakeBook and Twitter seem to censor happily. Not good.
Especially seeing that Google/Youtube censors even words the CCP does not like.
Censorship is not good, if you start it, where to draw the line, who has the right to draw the line?
I don‘t know why you start to talk about pedophiles and other illegal activities, there are enough laws about them, this has nothing to do with censoring, but with being legal or not legal.
So just apply the First amendment, and all is good. (Unless you are a terrorist and want to get away with the constitution, I hope that is not what you mean.)

Big difference to censorship.
Yes, but many others get censored. Google is even censoring critical views of the CCP. If his experience of getting flagged gets him to stop that censoring, that would be so great!

Japan drink green tea like people drink water

Japan people eat a lot of fish ... omega 3 & vitamin D

Actually, this has a scientific background:From a Japan school study:
„Our findings thus suggest that the consumption of 1–5 cups/d of green tea may prevent influenza infection in children.“
QuoteAbstract
Green tea is known to contain antiviral components that prevent influenza infection. A limited number of adult clinical studies have been undertaken, but there is a paucity of clinical evidence concerning children. We conducted an observational study to determine the association between green tea consumption and the incidence of influenza infection among schoolchildren. Anonymous questionnaire surveys were undertaken twice during the influenza season from November 2008 to February 2009 (endemic seasonal type A influenza infection); each survey was conducted for 2663 pupils across all elementary schools in Kikugawa City (a tea plantation area), Japan. Each questionnaire was completed and submitted by 2050 pupils (response rate, 77.0%; age range, 6–13 y). The adjusted OR associated with the consumption of green tea for ≥6 d/wk compared with < 3 d/wk was 0.60 [(95% CI = 0.39–0.92); P = 0.02] in cases of influenza confirmed by the antigen test. Meanwhile, the adjusted OR inversely associated with the consumption of 1 cup/d to < 3 cups/d (1 cup = 200 mL) and 3–5 cups/d compared with <1 cup/d were 0.62 [(95% CI = 0.41–0.95); P = 0.03] and 0.54 [(95% CI = 0.30–0.94); P = 0.03], respectively. However, there was no significant association with the consumption of >5 cups/d. Our findings thus suggest that the consumption of 1–5 cups/d of green tea may prevent influenza infection in children.

Actually, if he does stop the censoring and enforces free speech, that would be really good.
Currently everybody thinks they are entitled to censoring, but who decides what is the truth?Mr Suckerman and friends are not really qualified for that, and also not a ministry of truth, be it a private company or a government institution.
Instead of censoring, come out with facts and convincing arguments, and the people will follow.
But if you censor, people will get suspicious and ask what you are trying to hide.
So please go ahead, and enforce free speech, ban censoring!!!

There's a concept called quarantine. The test subjects are vaccinated, placed in quarantine, and exposed to the virus either artificially or in contact with infected persons. Success is measured by the infection rate and severity of symptoms in the test subjects.
I daresay New York is running out of options in terms of quarantine or a controlled experiment.
Sorry, I do not see why an almost virus free Australia is the better place to infect the vaccinated test subjects. If they are to be infected, then it doesn’t really matter that there are infected persons somewhere outside.
Also of course Novavax has enough labs in the US to run a controlled test, enough money, enough Universities.
So why test on Australians?

They have the arrivals by air well-contained, and it's evident that the problem now is infections arriving from outside Thailand, so I wonder just how well the land borders are secured? I've no doubt the official border crossings are guarded, but there's not many of those for over 3,000 miles of border.
Especially watch the borders to Cambodia, zero cases there for over a month, I'm sure they sneak in from there and bring the virus ????

Very concerning, and I think deserving more words than the bickering about masks when new infections are down to almost zero for a long time already.
Better try to help our Thai friends to live in a free world, without "repression, media rights and human rights curtailed, amongst many other civil liberties that are gone".-

This is not true for more and more of the population, for example all the ones which already went through the infection. Why should they wear a mask?-

If picture does not do it for you read the science https://science.sciencemag.org/content/early/2020/05/27/science.abc6197
And what happens if the person on the left does _not_ have an infection, like 99.99...9 % of the population in Thailand?
Exactly, nothing happens, no benefit from wearing the masks, just the bad effects.-

That's the point.
If you are sick, influenza or whatever, then stay home or if you go out, you can wear a mask.
Otherwise, it's not only useless but also not healthy - unless you're in a polluted area and need to protect you from dust and pollution.-
