Yes, certainly it cannot be that the restrictions had any influence on the deaths from COVID-19. The restrictions are only for show; the governments of all countries decided to grab the chance to ruin their economies just to be able to insert tracking chips in the population. And it was the last call, too. Some of the people were beginning to figure out the real reason to introduce G5 masts.
Now I understand you!
Nevertheless, your statement has absolutely nothing to do with my post. I assume you replied to someone else, and the page jumping caused by the pop up ads moved the page when you clicked.-

it’s a simple question, either you don’t know the answer or you do and you understand that answering it truthfully takes your ‘position’ down uncomfortable paths...
And I already answered, that the exact number does not matter.
I don't know what you impute as my position, so I try to clarify:
Why is a Covid-19 death to be avoided by all means, even disastrous lockdowns, while a Flu death seems to be no problem, and that despite the Flu death number being higher.
My position is that the humans dying from Flu (etc, also TB, cancer, Malaria) are also humans, their live should not have less value.
Nevertheless, feel free to recalculate and correct the numbers, and update the CDC stats.-

Riot? In the CCP controlled China of today? I don't think so.

This seems to be a key point. Superspreading events have been mainly in closed spaces with bad ventilation.

I thought it was well known, but perhaps not.
I think it has to do with this, applies it:

BTW, kudos to the OP for this thread, it seems to be the most alive and resilient one on TVF! Apparently quite many love Sweden and wish it all the best and to get over this virus quickly.

I’m not disbelieving the statistics. I’m asking you if you know how they are calculated?
The real question is not if there are 600.000 FLU deaths per year, or 599999, or 600.001, but why there is a lockdown for X Covid-19 deaths, but there was and is not much attention for Y Flu etc death, despite Y being the higher number.

An acquaintance, with whom I had a heavy discussion, did claim that Neil Fergusson and/or his institute are funded by Bill Gates with seventy something millions. I cannot believe that could be true. Can anybody confirm? Or better the opposite, where to check and proof him wrong?

CA is correct. My Thai lawyer advised me many years ago to never allow any child under 18 inside my house without a parent. He also said that if I were set up to not offer 1 baht to the parents or police (admission of guilt). The second thing you do is instruct your lawyer to file a 5M baht defamation suit against the parents. Defamation is very serious in Thailand and probably the same in Cambodia.
Listen to the man, this is very good advice!

I have no idea what the truth of this is.
But it is hardly normal for a grown man to kiss 13 and 1`7 year old girls who are not his daughters good night.
Especially when there is only 10 years age difference between them.
"the children were relatives of Mr Watkin's wife" - so no strangers. I don't know how you grew up but where I come from it was quite normal to hug and kiss not just your own children, but also nieces / nephews, members of the extended family.
Also the age difference is about 20 years and not "only 10 years".
And what happened to the "Presumption of innocence"? Every civilized country should honor it. And even if the dailymail is ignoring the English common law, happy about another sensation, TVF should do the ethical thing and at least take the name of the accused out.
In case "Presumption of innocence" is unknown:
QuoteThe presumption of innocence is the legal principle that one is considered innocent until proven guilty.
In many countries, the presumption of innocence is a legal right of the accused in a criminal trial, and it is an international human right under the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 11. Under the presumption of innocence, the legal burden of proof is thus on the prosecution, which must present compelling evidence to the trier of fact (a judge or a jury). The prosecution must in most cases prove that the accused is guilty beyond reasonable doubt. If reasonable doubt remains, the accused must be acquitted.
Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presumption_of_innocence
If he is guilty, the court will certainly take care of him (Cambodia's jails are no luxury hotels), and then you can shame him if you like - but until then he might very well not be guilty, therefore don't destroy a life for a sensation. -

You obviously did not check the link https://www.reuters.com/article/us-pacific-china-palau-insight/empty-hotels-idle-boats-what-happens-when-a-pacific-island-upsets-china-idUSKBN1L4036 - as posted by Ryan754326. Some quotes from there:
QuoteLate last year, China effectively banned tour groups to the idyllic tropical archipelago, branding it an illegal destination due to its lack of diplomatic status.
As China extends its influence across the Pacific, Palau is one of Taipei’s 18 remaining allies worldwide and is under pressure to switch allegiances, officials and business people there say.
“There is an ongoing discussion about China weaponizing tourism,” said Jeffrey Barabe, owner of Palau Central Hotel and Palau Carolines Resort in Koror. “Some believe that the dollars were allowed to flow in and now they are pulling it back to try and get Palau to establish ties diplomatically.”
In the commercial center of Koror, the Chinese pullback is obvious. Hotel blocks and restaurants stand empty, travel agencies are boarded and boats which take tourists to Palau’s green, mushroom shaped Rock Islands are docked at the piers.
Prior to the ban, Chinese tourists accounted for about half the visitors to Palau. Of the 122,000 visitors in 2017, 55,000 were from China and 9,000 from Taiwan, official data showed.
Very clearly a punishment by China for Palau, for daring to recognize Taiwan. "China weaponizing tourism".-

The isolation comes after the infection of test cells with human samples not before. You can't isolate before because you don't know what you are looking for!
Very simply: the supernatant or fluid of a dish which has been infected with SARS CoV-2 and left until all the cells are showing death or toxic effects contains the viruses newly produced by multiple rounds of replication, literally billions of new viruses. By sequencing you can tell if one or more viruses are present because you will get more than one sequence if it is not a single virus.
Once cell debris is spun down you hold a vial of isolated SARS CoV-2 virus at a massive concentration. You can then use a number of techniques to purify viruses even more including binding them to beads which have anti-virus antibody attached so that that virus and nothing else will stick, then eluting them into a new solution, providing a completely pure prep. There are other methods too.
The point is replicating in cells that the SARS CoV-2 infects turns a tiny amount of SARS CoV-2 into 'industrial quantities' which can be further purified by other techniques until you literally have that virus and nothing else.
Are you just making this up now or is there a source for this available?-

If I understood it correctly the reason is that if people do not obey then the 2nd wave will come, and it is their fault.

Professor Karol Sikora: fear is more deadly than the virus
There is an interesting interview by Freddie Sayers (from unheard.com) with Professor Karol Sikora, the Founding Dean and Professor of Medicine at the University of Buckingham Medical School and an ex-director of the WHO Cancer Programme.
Professor Karol Sikora can certainly not be dismissed as conspiracy theorist, so open minds can dare to listen what he has to say. Feel free to search and find the video on Youtube. No link possible here, as the video seems not to be produced by an authoritarian enough source for TVF.
Here is a summary of the interview, as made by the interviewer (Freddie Sayers), not by me, but in my humble opionion not bad:
QuoteProfessor Karol Sikora has become something of a celebrity in the UK over the past months for his expert commentary on the pandemic, and his unusual tendency for optimism rather than pessimism.
Virus ‘getting tired’
– In the past two weeks, the virus is showing signs of petering out
– It’s as though the virus is ‘getting tired’, almost ‘getting bored’
– It’s happening across the world at the same time
Existing herd immunity
– The serology results around the world (and forthcoming in Britain) don’t necessarily reveal the percentage of people who have had the disease
– He estimates 25-30% of the UK population has had Covid-19, and higher in the group that is most susceptible
– Pockets of herd immunity help *already* explain the downturn
– Sweden’s end result will not be different to ours
– lockdown versus no lockdown
Fear more deadly than the virus
– When the history books are written, the fear will have killed many more people than the virus, including large numbers of cancer and cardiological patients not being treated
– We should have got the machinery of the NHS for non-corona patients back open earlier
Masks and schools
– Evidence on masks is just not there either way so it should be an ‘individual decision’
– We should move to 1m social distancing which means restaurants and bars could reopen
– More schools should reopen in June as ‘children are not the transmitters of this virus’
– We should be getting back to the ‘old normal’ not a ‘new normal’

It is a fact the countries who locked down and tested early have fewer cases than the nimrods in Sweden and fewer deaths.
Aren't there quite a few countries which had no lockdown and still low to very low numbers? Thus the part about the lockdown in your statement is at least debatable, if not simply wrong.

For anyone who is interested briefly here is how the SARs Cov-2 virus was isolated and identified in China.
Liquid samples were taken from nasal passages/lungs of patients suffering from the new pneumonia-like disease. These were placed on cultures of airway epithelial cells in dishes and the dishes were monitored for signs of cell death or toxicity, signalling infection and replication by a disease causing organism. Cells from dishes showing these signs were collected.
Some were examined under electron microscopy and showed that spiked coronavirus particles were present. Others were used in next generation sequencing and a complete genome sequence was obtained. When compared with the known database this sequence was found to be a new coronavirus, clearly related to but different from, other known coronaviruses.
Cell media from cultured cells infected with this virus could be shown to reproducibly infect and kill cells in other dishes by serial passaging, and the same genomic sequence and viral particles were also shown to be always present in these cells but never in uninfected healthy cells grown in identical dishes at the same time.
Sorry, but there is nothing about the virus isolation there. "Liquid samples were taken from nasal passages/lungs of patients", yes, but were they "cleaned" / purified, the virus isolated, or the whole soup used as taken, as is?
I'm not claiming anything, but I'm genuinely interested in that part too, the isolated virus, and there generally seems to be not much about the isolation available.
Also the nice and colorful pictures shown earlier had been pictures of "something" in a kind of "cell soup", not an isolated virus. Can that not be done better?

Warmer usually means that there is more happening outdoor, in fresh air, and less in badly ventilated closed areas. This seems to add to the "warmer" effect on the virus, or to be the main mechanism behind it (in my humble opionion).
(Sorry, I don't link to a video with a qualified doctor interview talking about it, as it probably only causes that the post will be deleted.)-

Are you kidding me? By filtering I mean isolating the virus. The machine you show me does nothing like that.
You are the gullible one for believing we have an electron microscope image of a virus!!! Many particles in our bodies have coating and spikes, no need to baptize them virus.Go easy on him, like so many others here, he tries his best.
It simply has to be all true, or why all that curfew and lockdown and emergency. Thinking about that too much might lead to confusion, desperation, so better just parrot and copy paste what google offers and enjoy some peace of mind.-

These irresponsible curfew breakers, don't they know that the night is full of zombies, werewolves, vampires (yes, it's true, I saw it on TV) and viruses??? Getting exposed to them at night time will certainly cause a second wave. Obey the orders and stay home until you're told that it's all clear again.
