This announcement is poorly worded and quite misleading.

What announcement? It was a reply to you , with the knowledge i had.

This is the latest information I have seen regarding that issue:

Visa and Entry procedures for foreigners who are Permanent Residents in Thailand

Latest Update (14 July 2020, 21:00 hrs) Applications for entry by land/sea can only be made by those with urgent need for travel (must present proof of urgent need to travel). For all land/sea entry applications, the Embassy will have to send the application to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to approve before the Embassy can issue a Confirmation of Entry (COE), which may take longer than 3 working days.

Why do you not show me your info that tells i am wrong?

That is utterly correct. One thing is bothering me as well: I thought that the persons holding residence had been allowed to get in the country longtime ago. Maybe I had misread

You are partly right. Most of the people holding a PR has been able to come back because they are either married, have children in Thailand or working under a work permit. In other cases I believe it has been granted on a case by case basis. However, the thing here is that we are really not talking about people with a PR. In general when speaking about residence in this forum, there is a discussion about having a certificate of residence and not being a resident. They are like always making it more complicated than it has to be. Unfortunately this forum is know all over the world to complicate things and to repeat everything in different way, even if it has the exact same meaning.

There are many expats with a house, condo, car and other investments. A tourist will never spend that much. Of course there are expats that live a very simple life here too. But there are also many tourists doing the same.

What you are doing here is comparing what a person living in the country have already invested. That is not what the news is about. The news regards what they make out of every single tourist that visits the country. In that case most of the tourists will spend more than a person residing in the country. That people are coming back to houses and cars and other investments is not relevant.

Just think about what you say about your exemples in your post. You are saying that it falls under investments. There you have it. An investment like house or condo is something that you or the family later can cash in on. Has absolutely nothing to do with tourism and the GDP the country is getting from that.

The DDC advised people to follow these instructions to reduce the risk of dengue fever:

▪︎ Clean up your home and never leave clothes lying around to reduce places where mosquitoes can live.

▪︎ Properly dispose of garbage in and around the house. Empty containers of food should be put in garbage bags to prevent mosquitoes laying eggs in rain water.

▪︎ Put a lid on all water containers. Change water in flower vases and plant pots every week.

▪︎ If you have high fever for more than two days and feel tired, nauseated, have a stomach ache and red spots on the skin, go and see a doctor for proper diagnosis. Avoid using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen or Brufen, as they could cause internal bleeding.

Seems to me that they are trying to educate people of the obvious. That is a clear sign that something is very wrong.

i do not see anything funny about it.

so many people are suffering so much because of this situation, and

you are making jocks about it.

What! Where did you see me joke, or did I put a laughing sign somewhere? I guess you just have to learn to read and understand better.

To me it seems like you are anxious to come back to Thailand, and therefore started this thread. I just have the opinion that you should not worry so much, because it´s not much you can do about the situation, as well as even if you can/could enter under the exception list. You would probably not want to face all the costs and the obstacles. Therefore my estimation is that you will not be able to come back and in under normal circumstances before 2022.

If you see something funny in that. Please do not hesitate to inform me.

Court officials said Maguire had been found guilty of repeated bodily harm, attempted bribery, violence against public employees and insult after his arrest in Mykonos last Thursday.

The 27-year-old was handed a suspended prison sentence of 21 months and 10 days by the Greek court.

Manchester United captain Maguire was initially named in Southgate's latest squad on Tuesday, while his trial was ongoing.

"In light of this evening’s developments, I can confirm I have withdrawn Harry Maguire from the England squad for the matches against Iceland and Denmark," Southgate said in a statement.

Sounds to me that Maguire was talking a lot of BS. An now he is foolish enough to instruct his lawyer to appeal in a Greek court. ????????

After Tuesday's verdict, Maguire said he had instructed his legal team "with immediate effect to inform the courts we will be appealing".

My advice would be to be happy with the suspended sentence. Like this he is really asking them to put him inside for his remaining sentence. As I see it, the court was doing him a favor after he was accused of hitting an officer. This will come back and bite him in the little buttibutt.

  7. The Mass Authority is now super happy. They will lose all kind of competition and be the state backed ones that come shining out of the pandemic.

A bus service that runs in a 61-kilometre loop from the heart of Bangkok southeast to Samut Prakan has become the latest victim of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Only reading that line, might make one think that the bus died after a Covid-19 infection.

That´s exactly the thing that is Thai justice, so I would say it happens all the time.

Why is it that so many observers still see this whole affair as a farce?

    Because it is!

    ------------------------------

However, it´s nice to know that they´ve issued a new arrest warrant. That must mean time is starting ticking from 0 days! At least that makes it a little bit harder for the guy. Never though anything else would happen in this case.

Gareth Southgate the England manager has included him in the next England squad after speaking to him personally about the incident... "Harry,s version is totally different to what is being quoted in the media..in my time as manager his behaviour has been exemplary and a model professional, until concrete evidence proves otherwise I am happy to accept his version".....but Mattzon here in Thailand knows different... pathetic ????

Oh dear! See, what happened now? Ops! That went quick, didn´t it? ???? ???? Sorry!

Seems Maguires version to Southgate was a load of poppycock hence the 20 months suspended sentence and him being withdrawn from the England Squad.

@petermik, That must hurt really bad, right? I just wonder if you are ready for the discussion over where we should place your fine description of something or somebody being pathetic? ????????

Thanks for the info @Kadilo. I guess at least this discussion has come to an end. ????

Let´s just wait and look for the result. After that we can place your, pathetic description.

May I just ask you? As well as the news many times bend the information and fact, I assume you´ve never heard that it´s quite common that an arrested person have a totally different story than the police? How many times have it been a fact that arrested people lie as long as they can?
