Got you. I know Neung's and have been in since the recent move. Good black pudding, bacon etc too.

I expect there is degrees like slight, moderate and bad, food poisoning, but doubt any is good. Having a slow day?
"No" would have sufficed, but then you wouldn't have got your sarcasm in. Shame.

Here’s a photo (℅ Richard Barrow) of the Suvarnabhumi departures board this morning. It’s in both Thai and English, the Thai script reads “cancelled”. I doubt this situation is going to change over the next two weeks. So it’s either extend amnesty or force many people which might include families with children into a situation in which they could be arrested and incarcerated if apprehended. I, as I’m sure everyone here does, hope that the Thai government continue to look after its guests rather than put them in a position of being incarcerated in these exceptionally difficult times.
The departure board pictured shows only a 2 hour window. If the full day was shown you would see international depatures to several destinations. Any incarceration would be self inflicted.

Is there such a thing as a good spell of food poisoning?

Maybe someone knows, what is the situation with bus from Ekamai to Pattaya now? How often does it go and what are conditions at this stage?
Hourly, on the hour, from 6:00am and 119 baht per person - used it on Monday. No distancing, no enforcement for wearing of masks.

Both Bell and Roong Reuang stopped for now.

The pie shop across the road is the best value around.
Which pie shop is that? I'm always willing to try a new source of pies but haven't noticed one opposite Foodland.

It's probably not worth my time reading your posts, so I'll just put you on ignore.
Please do, it seems your ability to read and understand is somewhat limited so best not to overdo things.

No details at all - 'One UK pensioner living in Thailand was caught and heavily fined for using his mother’s UK address in order to have his pension updated'. No name, location, details of the fine or explanation of how he was caught out. Not proof at all just hear say.
Maybe you're right, but it was exactly what was asked for.

And in answer to your edit, similar to Thaivisa they have a "news team bring you daily topical news items from around the globe."

No, I asked for details of a court case where someone was punished despite denial of all wrongdoing.
You linked to a blog claiming "maybe you'll get caught in the future, but nobody has so far".
The "News" section of an expats website, just like this forum has a "News" section, with a specific case referred to in the last paragraph of the article. This is your question that it was posted in response to.
3 hours ago, BritManToo said:How about you direct us to a news item where a Brit Pensioner in Thailand has been fined/penalised for not reporting his address and accepting a reduced pension?
Answer, you can't because it's never happened.

More BS as far as I can see.
I thought that would be the response, but it was what you asked for, and others may not have the same banking or passsport renewal practices as yourself.

there’s so many flights being cancelled (can’t even see any flights to the US), it makes booking a flight and then waiting for a cancellation refund to be able to afford to book the next flight that’ll run a high risk of being cancelled, and then waiting for that cancellation refund to book the next flight...... etc etc.
There are no direct flights to the USA, you have to transit. Choose one that you can see departs regularly so you know it's running and you should be fine.

Transferwise to Bangkok Bank would be my choice, but no matter which one you chose, get a back up in place for when it goes wrong, as it will do at some point. TW themself admit they won't guarantee it always shows as an international transfer.

if you think there's flight out, you might want to check again
Currently showing upcoming or recent departures to Hanoi (VZ8930), Haneda (NH850 and JL034), Paris (AF253), Zurich (LX181) and more, so yes, there are plenty flights out.

Its not the airport capacity thats the issue , its the capacity of the aeroplanes leaving thats the issue
Agreed, but I was responding to a post that claimed the airport would be in chaos due to the numbers involved when that isn't the case.

I read somewhere that it could be as many as 200,000 foreigners on the amnesty policy. Most of those leaving via 1 airport within the next 2 weeks would be chaos and would not look good for Thailand's image.
Suvarnabhumi could process that in a couple of days, so airport capacity is not a limiting factor.

The very fact that these people were exempt from quarantine (14 days) through one of the 11 categories stated but could still mingle with the locals shows huge holes in their procedures. Besides, tracking and testing would be a good exercise for them prior to opening up to tourism.
I certainly won't disagree with that.

How many people were alerted at Central Plaza who were there during the four hour period when the remaining 4 members of the group were there? In fact, roughly how many people would be at the Plaza during that time scale?
Maybe it's just me but when I see/hear a breakdown report that omits pretty important information relevant to what has happened, it makes me think........
The four guys who visited there tested negative after the visit, so no need to trace anyone?

That's my own thread. That was just a language barrier. I was on the phone with them, and it's only available to Thai nationals or people with a work permit.
Would be nice if you updated the original thread with this. It gets mentioned by another poster but not confirmed as far as I can see.

Medical: Only if you have something serious that you cannot let a doctor treat in your own country.
There's a recent thread on here with a Thai hospital offering a package of treatment including "supplements to boost the immune system" that qualified the buyer/patient for a medical visa. I don't know whether these "supplements" could be administered in his home country or not, but the poster seemed confident he could get in. There was also discussion on the point about leaving at the end of treatment mentioned by jackdd, but not sure how it ended up.

If it is not the first time you have to report, you can do it online on the Immigration website from 15 to 7 days before the date indicated for your next report.
