Not everyone has that option, and besides, most are probably at the shop they like most, whether that be for price, range, quality, convenience or whatever, so going to another means they're losing out.  That's as dumb as asking for ID when it shouldn't be required.

You may call that dumb, but hey it takes one to know one ???? , but for us it works I would be calling that Smart . ????

Did you read and understand what I wrote?

I said "not everyone" which indicates some do and some don't.  I'm really chuffed for you that you are in the group that has the option to change without losing out.  Cutting off your nose to spite your face is not smart and that's what the other group would be doing.  Any warm feeling it gave you would expire quickly in those others, so it'd be dumb.

  2. From your own posts you left the place filthy, sublet to a friend, soiled a mattress and defaulted on your rent.  Yes, the landlord is overcharging but it sounds like you deserve it and had the opportunity when you were still resident to address the situation.  Leaving a week early sounds like running away to avoid things on exit day.

You may well get away with paying less than asked, or even nothing at all, but you sure don't deserve to.

  3. It depends on the type (cost) of ticket.  It could be as little as 15kg to as much as 35kg, with additional allowances for status holders of their frequent flyer club.  There is no 23kg level.

Go to "Manage a Booking" on the Emirates' website armed with your PNR from the Travel Agent and you should find what you need.

Ive acquired 2 Non O visas online and never had a problem.

Yes, the website isn't the best but it is usable if you know what your doing.

I too have successfully used it for a Non O.  As you say it's not the best, and I would say to any user if anything doesn't look like you expect it to, stop and take the time to understand what has happenend rather than bulldozing through.  You'll find it much easier to rectify if you understand what's going on.

The photo checker facility only works on the portrait file, and not the passport one, which it always fails.

The passport pic has it's own reader which pulls the data from the image (from the MRZ?) and enters it in the appropriate fields of the entry form.  It does come with a warning to double check the data but successfully reads my passport scan so it's wrong to say it always fails.

Doesn't need to be booked in advance, but does need to be booked online.

So you can be at the airport and book yourself on to the transfer, whilst waiting for the bus..

The buses disappear frrom those available on the booking screen an hour or so before the departure time, so don't think you can turn up 15 minutes before the bus leaves and book it on line.

Some time ago I booked seats on ANA from BKK to USA leaving Suvarnaphumi at 0030. I also booked Thaismile seats leaving Udon at 9PM, arriving Suvarnaphumi at 10. That leaves 2.5 hours to get our bags from Thaismile, head up to ANA and checkin (will precheck in online 24 hours prior). Under normal circumstances, 2.5 hours should be plenty, even allowing for some delay in arrival in BKK or delay in getting our bags.

You have 2.5 hours between your scheduled arrival until your scheduled departure, not to get to bag drop/check in desk.  For that you only have 1.5 hours as ANA check in closes 1 hour before departure.  It all depends on your attitude to that risk.  I wouldn't do it with a long haul international ticket at stake.

All the experts have already stated NO mask will prevent a person from getting the Corona Virus

    None!

Serious question, but why is that?  I haven't heard it mentioned.

  9. Used it a couple of weeks ago on the outbound only and all smooth and plain sailing.  At that time the plane was only doing this one return flight a day so no real issues with delays but that may have changed now.  We had no queues at check in and had return bookings available which they asked to see.  There is a lounge in departures and a few shops, but it's not a big terminal and I think it could easily get very busy although it wasn't bad whe we were there.

Getting to and from UTP had been my biggest worry but if you're OK for that then all good.

My question was not regarding what method (month income or large deposit) you use to get your annual extension of stay, but trying to figure out if the TW "partner bank" used for a transfer determines transfer speed.

And the only way in trying to figure that out is to ask folks what partner bank was used for their transfers especially when they say the got the transfer within minutes or hours.  That's what I'm asking.

My transfers have typically taken a day or so, so I was surprised to see one a few days ago promise it in 55 minutes but actually take only a few seconds.  I'm with Bangkok Bank and the partner bank was Kasikorn.

Why would anyone take insurance on a bank account or debit card? What a rort.

According to card schemes like visa and mastercard, it's the issuing bank that's responsible for any foul play. Credit card insurance is slightly more understandable for people unable to manage their spending and are suddenly unable to pay their debt.

I think you may have ever so slightly misunderstood what insurance is being sold.  Post 4 on the previous page may help.

Emirates has my vote.  I've been on economy, and business.... My experience has always been consistent in reliability and above average in service/support.

But they don't offer Premium Economy yet, which is what the thread is about.

According to Benjamin W. Hart, Managing Director of Integrity Legal:

"I have personally dealt with multiple cases in the past 60 days in which individuals who have been extending as O retirees have been required to obtain medical insurance in order to maintain their status moving forward. It is happening, due to the vagueness of the new regulation it is implemented at the discretion of the adjudicating officer and some Immigration offices are not broadly implementing the requirement, but it is happening. --BWH"
