Hernia Repair at Shouldice Hospital in Canada
HaoleBoy replied to TheLaughingMan's topic in Health and Medicine
I'm 8 kgs overweight with no diabetes. I stopped working out and stopped riding my Harley so I don't feel like I over exerted myself at all. I'm looking at your link ... thanks. -
Hernia Repair at Shouldice Hospital in Canada
HaoleBoy replied to TheLaughingMan's topic in Health and Medicine
I've had 2 umbilical hernia's (really the same one) done at Ram Hospital in Chiang Mai last year. Both used mesh ... I now have another hernia just off to the side of where the mesh is. Any ideas why I would end up with 3 hernias all in same general location within 8 months? Hernia operations are fairly basic from my reading. I'm looking for ideas to research before going back in. I do want an MRI this time to see if anything else can be seen. -

Pheu Thai Dissolution Sought For Using Politically Banned Nattawut

Should be the same for coup leaders as well. Just because the coup leaders granted themselves "amnesty" should mean squat. -
Retirement O Extension- What to do?
HaoleBoy replied to carlyai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I believe you can get your yearly visa extension 1 month in advance. Not sure if the Re-entry permit is attached to the old visa though ... you should ask. -
Prayuth plays Thai poll timing guessing game in reelection bid

All this skullduggery coming from a politician that says "I don't want to be PM" ... "Being PM is a hardship on me" .... He is such a slimy POS. -
Three-Month Burn Ban Put in Place to Curb Haze, Wildfire
HaoleBoy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It would be good to know how much land the large corporations "control" - CP and PTT. There's no reason these corporations (families) can't buy the necessary equipment to harvest correctly. There are also machines that take the "rice straw" and "sugarcane straw) to be used to make bio-degradable containers - used for take-away food containers, straws, coffee cups, ... The farmers could be paid to haul the specific straw to a packaging plant and get a little bit more money. There are some solutions if the Thai Gov would invest a little rather than submarines and new fighter jets. -

PM hits back over Chinese businessman’s Thai citizenship
HaoleBoy replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
A better response would have been for Prayuth to say he was looking into why a civilian citizen reported these misdeeds and not some RTP oversight committee. Prayuth oversees the RTP and thus under his purview. These incidents and some "outside the box" thinking might lead to some other areas that need oversight. But that would be actions of a true leader which he isn't ... -

Poor Thai people ... Even if they vote differently their junta written Constitution is against the people with the junta appointed Senate. -
4 police officers deny demanding fees escorting Chinese tourists
HaoleBoy replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
What is the law pertaining to driving on the toll-way with police lights flashing? Isn't that against the law for off-duty police? I see police trucks (presumably on-duty) driving around town with lights flashing (and in no apparent hurry) all the time. Why isn't this stopped? -
Better to open a new account in CM (with same bank or not) so you don't have to pay "out of province" bank fees for depositing cash and getting cash at ATMs. If you have money in BKK bank for retirement visa, then leave that alone in BKK and just get a new account for ATM usage in CM. You can get the 2 needed documents for yearly retirement visa renewal at the CM bank and not have to travel to BKK to get them.

Prawit Steals The Scene Over Prayut’s Planned Visit To Ratchaburi

It's really too bad Thailand doesn't have TV debates between politicians. It would be such a laugh to see Prawit debate Prayut on live TV ???? ... Oh the stories they could throw at each other. -

Holiday Gone Wrong: British man claims he was tortured in Thailand Jail
HaoleBoy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Befuddles me why so many Brits still go to Koh Tao after the incident above. I've boycotted the place since I don't feel like giving this island any money after these shenanigans. Boycott the place and let their economy go to hell. Let others know too. -
Prince Harry tells Anderson Cooper why he’s not stepping out of the limelight

Don't quite understand all the fuss. Like father like son isn't it? Charles has never been a standup person from what I've read. Marrying Diana, then having an open relationship with Camila for the world to see and hear about. Yet, he became king and it seems Camila will become queen at some point. Have to wonder why Canada & Australia pay into this royal family <deleted> ... -
I didn't say it was a crime. Just bc it isn't a crime doesn't make it right. The Congressional Ethics Committee could handle it though. And of course the people of his NY district could speak up about it. I don't know if the people can request a Recall Vote ... The Congressional GOP caucus could also do something about this slimy person, but that is highly unlikely. BTW: This should be done for either party when someone blatantly lies like this.
