So far Thai authorities have announced that over a billion doses of Covid vaccine have been ordered, will be delivered, will be ordered, are on the way etc etc etc stupid is stupid does????????

The sandbox is a desperate attempt to make money and save face! The country is suffering the results of pitiful pandemic/vaccination management and still promote tourism???????? A friend who lives in Phuket flew to London to get vaccinated, got his 2 shots of Pfizer and returned and still had to purchase 14 days at a hotel that was less than a mile from his condo in Phuket, utter BS! One word Pathetic!

The wording is incredible, “Unleash” as though millions of Russians were lined up waiting to get to Phuket???????????? Are the drugs these guys are on legal?

Having been in the aviation industry for 20 years I would be sceptical about these planes being in top shape, between layoffs, on again off again flights, I just don’t think these planes are getting the love they should be at present????

According to my calculations that’s approximately 1 zillion vaccines going to be ordered, looking into getting, going to get???????????? Meanwhile the cases continue at over 20K a day????

I think most expats are happy to park anywhere but Thailand is not only the Land of smiles it’s the land of class, so a wealthy Thai doesn’t want to park his car next to a cheap car, my goodness  then he/she might have to walk to the over 50 feet to the Mall entrance and close to a “ normal” person???? What makes “ normal” Thai people so great is that they are normal and not caught up in their own self importance????

No travel in or out of Australia???? Like to see more details on these numbers and how they came up with them????

Amazing how this group, ThailandDevelopment Research Institute, came up with the obvious so fast………..I can’t imagine a more interesting and intellectual group of people that I would enjoy meeting with????????????

The real solution is to get Thais ( & expats), vaccinated, these draconian lockdowns are for show???? Yes I get it that mass gatherings are potential super spreaders, but closing small shops, forbidding a drink with dinner, closing driving license office, closing small business, etc etc it’s just a coverup for the mis-management of vaccine procurement and distribution. Then they allow vaccinated tourists to the Phuket Sandbox, do they not realize that vaccinated people can still carry and spread the virus???? What’s Thailand at now, under 8% fully vaccinated, with a vaccine purported to be less than stellar against the current Delta Virus, it’s a bit like trying to collect water in a sifter????

Be interesting to get a break down of where these “sandbox” visitors are coming from, I see many “visitors” at Central festival and around Boat Avenue ( many massless), and they go not look like your stereo typical tourists???? Are they coming from “red” countries, but have been vaccinated? Vaccinated people can still carry and spread Covid and with only 6% of Thailand having completed two doses, the potential for disaster is relevant. I heard there was 30 Covid cases in Bang Tao 2 days ago????

When I first came to Thailand around 2017~2018, Thais smiled a lot. Very natural and beautiful smiles. 

When I came back around 2019~2020, I sensed that Thais smiled a lot less. Very fed up looking smiles.
