  1. He was so bad his mother never took him see a doctor for one week? It couldn't have been that bad cud it?
  2. Speculation. Nothing said about private treatment and it took a week for her before she took him to see a doctor. It's claimed the boy needs 'minor' surgery which I'm sure can be carried out at a government hospital.
  3. Nah he would easily get physiotherapy at a government hospital. Nothing said in the story about going private. You are speculating that he 'may have went to a private hospital'. Read the story. It's his mother that has demanded 150,000 as compensation. Not for the sons injuries but for herself for lost earnings. She must have a good job. So the mother gets 149,970 Baht for lost wages and the kid get 30 Baht and an ice-cream for seeing a doctor. It'll all be settled with apologies and wai's.
  4. Why can't he use the government hospital and pay 30 Bahts? What other expenses?
  5. On average 70 nuclear bombs are exploded on the earth every year since 1945. Why worry about someone burning rubbish?
  6. Phone your office to confirm that the KR2 is required. This year at Buriram office I was told my KR2 update wasn't required.
  7. The OP has already stated that they don't help.
  8. 1 Baht where I live also.
  9. You've got a sewer system in a village? That's a first. Waste water from washing machines is known as grey water and is considered safe to be allowed to soak away into the soil. In your local area there must be sewer tankers that randomly come around touting for work. Are you new to Thailand?
  10. Another case where immigration decided to change the rules. I had the full seasoned 400,000 in the same bank but in 2 separate accounts. 1 fixed and the other normal. When the IO asked for my bank book my wife gave him the 2 books. He asked 'what's this, 2 books?'. My wife tried to explain but the IO was having none of it. He started shouting at my wife saying that she was trying to make him look a fool. My wife tried to explain but he was having none of it. He threw my books down on the table, stood up, and walked out leaving me and the wife just sitting there. Another IO told us to take my application over to her. She processed my visa no problem. That was at Kap Choeng office about 6 years ago.
  11. It could have been 1 of 8 offices being that since 2005 my IO has moved 8 times. So I can't recall. I would say it's a toss up between Kap Cheong, Korat, and Buriram. My current office is Buriram. All I recall is that since I got refused I've never used a fixed term account for my extension money. Officers also get moved around and that adds to the problem.
  12. 'Thai banks may allow this' but not all Thai IO's allow monies to be in fixed term accounts. They want to see movement within peoples accounts. That was the response I got from them when I had one. I was asked 'by having a 'fixed' term account what monies am I living on? Basically, I told asked what it had to do with them being as I met the financial requirements asked for.
  13. What about Ginger Haired people? No body picked on worse than them. The butt of many a joke and picked on at school because they are/were different.
  14. Thais have 13 ways in the way they smile. Each one has a name and meaning. Hence why Thailand is known as the land of smiles. https://www.thethailandlife.com/whats-behind-a-thai-smile
  15. Well not in SW Sydney and that's for sure. https://doublebaytoday.com/new-laws-allow-police-to-arrest-anyone-wearing-a-bumbag-in-south-west-sydney-2/
  16. My missus turns the car aircon off prior to parking up and not switching it back on until the car is running again. I ask her why but says she can't remember but someone told her to do it. She also believes in placing a red effigy outside the house keeps ghosts away. PS. Not my house but an example.
  17. Why not change your account to Nationwide Internet banking? I did it with the Cooperative bank and now use 'Smile Bank' I have no UK address.
  18. Usually freelancers cuz they're not particularly pretty anymore.
  19. By some farang who knew her before he came here and married her. When a new guy enters the village in the past the one thing she doesn't want is for her new husband to is get to know me a farang who know too much. An expression the Thai women use is 'Farang Roo Mak Mie Dee'. Excuse spelling. And they will do their utmost to make sure you don't educate her new husband. Usual thing is if you go for a beer with him she will sit as close to yous as possible to put you off. Also she will spread discrediting rumours about you, putting off any friendship you intend to have with her husband. I met a guy some years ago who introduced himself to me and after telling him my name he suddenly belted out ' Oh, so you're the chicken killer?' <deleted> I lived 10 k's from this guy but tales got around that I killed other peoples chickens. FKW as I'd only been living here a short time. I put it down to his wife not wanting him to know things about her that I may divulge. So she created an atmosphere. Most do it.
  20. I was informed many years ago that the monies cannot be in a fixed term account. The IO want to see movement in your account. If not, what are you living on?
  21. Makes life easier to stay here and because you fell in love. But in your case you didn't. Hats off to you.
  22. Before they implement zebra crossing laws they need to decide what a zebra crossing looks like and what part of the carriageway it covers. I'm sorry to say but the Thai interpretation of a zebra crossing is up in the air.
  23. This is the probs. I answered a question tuther week regarding why Thais seem to copy other Thais. I put it down to Monkey see, monkey do and had my post deleted due to being racist. Who decides what's racist?
  24. Monkey see, monkey do. Is that racist?
