  1. Looking at the photo, the driver's cabin seems unaffected.
  2. I think the one on the bottom right is a plastic blow up doll.
  3. A million baht for a supercar? Where can I buy one for that price?
  4. At Suvarnabhumi I went through the usual security before passport control and then again before being allowed into the gate waiting area. They had set up a table and were checking all carry on bags. This was for a flight to Australia and they were looking for foodstuffs and liquids which are prohibited into Australia but probably OK for other countries. Foodstuffs would not have been problem at the main security but is a problem for Australia hence the second screening.
  5. Last time I applied for an METV in Australia in January 2024 I used my Mastercard credit limit less the current balance as proof of funds available. I also provided my Superannuation balance just in case but I don't think that was required. I did not have a normal bank account with more than a couple of thousand dollars so did not use that as proof. I received the METV without any problems..
  6. But other than those minor issues, completely safe, yes?
  7. Tourists are able to open a bank account in Australia. They just need their passport and a valid visa as well as a few address/contact details. Tourists can even apply for an account before they arrive in Australia. While a tourist visa might imply a short stay, it is generally possible to open a bank account. The easiest way is often to start the process online with a major bank before you travel, and then complete it in person with your passport shortly after you arrive in Australia.
  8. I don't understand how these bags can pass the X-ray security checks before being loaded onto the plane in Thailand. Trying to take kilos of weed in your bags risks you getting caught on departure and arrival. So this clown decides to have two stopovers in Australia and Germany providing two more potential bags scans. I suppose getting caught in Vienna has some benefits. An Austrian prison would be considered a far more humane and preferable environment compared to a Thai prison.
  9. He should have swallowed 3 bullets and asked for the 10,000 baht change.
  10. When I left Thailand through Suvarnabhumi in March this year, it was through the electronic gates so there is no exit stamp in my passport for that trip. I also had to get a new passport because my old one is expiring in August so I will take both the new and the old one with me next trip.
  11. May I correct that for you? Its not hard to be a woman and get money from a stupid, gullible man
  12. Early this year we received a full refund on our condo deposit even though we needed to leave after 6 months and did not stay the full year of the contract. I suppose being good tenants for the past 9 years helped a lot. So sometimes Thailand does do refunds.
  13. At least he is wearing a helmet so he is probably safe.
  14. He might be safer there than going back to Russia and getting killed in Ukraine.
  15. Be careful because saying that is probably defamatory.
  16. There are a couple of 7-11 stores near my home in Australia. Their prices are often double what a supermarket charges for many items so I rarely visit them. 7-11 stores in Bangkok seem to have prices similar to supermarkets such as BigC. They are convenient and cheap and I almost daily buy stuff from the one on the ground floor of our condo building.
