Thailand going cashless. Are you for or against it?

I know all do not have smartphones. Every Thai in theory has an ID number. All these aged and impoverished people, and the disabled need is a fingerprints or facial image, even a voice print. Maybe a paper QR code. The tech is there just time to roll it out and avoid crime fraud waste and abuse. -

I don't have a criminal mind but I know they would get around it somehow Used to have a great cash card at 7-11, banned because no Thai ID and "money laundering" PayPal is so safe now it is impossible to use -

Everything I need to participate in the economy is on my mobile, the stored vallee card even when battery is a dead. Ride a train bus, shop at a store. Nothing to forget or lose. Smart lock on house, no keys I guess all you need is an Apple Watch really. Losing a wallet can be a nightmare. Just buy a new mobile. Checkout is a breeze when not waiting behind a geezer pfaffing about with dirty notes and small coins. I would like to make it a little harder on the crims. Every transaction should be traceable to a registered person, and the required taxes paid. All income some legally accounted for, or confiscated by the government I don't believe people who commit crimes deserve privacy to cover their ill gotten gains or misdeeds. -

Cash should be banned -
At all times I have a copy of my passport and stamp and eVisa. I have a Thai drivers license with my address. I have a pink ID. My passport stays in my home and if I need call friend to go collect will enjoy myself with the BiB I will order them some nice food from Grab while we wait. This subject has been done to death I would rather have a night in the cells than lose my passport by accident or theft.

I don't know about construction waste, I just tell one of the condo maids. TV with screen issues (not worth repair cost IMHO), broken appliances, unwanted furniture. As long as it is free it is gone. When I needed to gut out the used condo I had bought I told "my fren me" next day men from her village came with a truck and took everything no charge. Other than a bed, an unfashionable style breakfront with glass doors I doubted anything was usable. A bunch of ghastly old built in furniture torn off the walls? Thailand can be amazing in my country you have to pay to get rid of stuff like that.

My experience with Bangkok aka Swampy airport
Captain Monday replied to Sparktrader's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Not really with so many people like myself who get access thru credit card perks many airport Lounges are now half-overrun with screaming kid madhouses. -
An Indian tried to sit in a bar "agogo" without ordering. He was run out by angry bar-girls.

I never trade just buy and hold. Only index funds. I have plenty of income Thanks to days locked in Q-Hotels watching hours of YouTube resulting in FOMA, I got into ETH. The investment really soared when I was looking at the peak I still thought HODL. It will come back in a few years, or not. I did not invest more than I can afford to lose

The police certainly "attend" home invasion calls in SF most exclusive neighborhood home to Speaker of the House. When she is in residence they are standing by nearby Police body cam footage is always suppressed by their management and unions*, when it is not looking perfect for them. How many murders were hidden? In this case they were not aggressive enough obviously. That is a judgement call. They followed their training and issued a legal order to drop the weapon which is primary training. Upon showing up at a home invasion in real time probably not knowing who is the assailant and who is the victim, just to start firing in a vestibule would be wrong also. There is nothing hard to believe here. A crazy person emboldened by Trump, Marjorie Taylor Greene and countless other right wing maniacs snapped. It does not matter if he was an illegal alien from Canada. He was radicalized by nonsense online propaganda and speculations which ranges from the ridiculous Q-Anon to the countless JonnyF s who are "just asking questions". That is why facts do not matter anymore and nearly 3 years after 2020 Trump supporters mostly think the election was "stolen". Right- wingers in US believe what they want and the facts reinforce their fantasies. The Paul Pelosi attack is on the hands of these maniacs. *I strongly support police unions bargaining for wages and benefits and upholding the terms of labor contracts like any other worker. Not protection for qualified immunity that protects them from all charges when the say they were scared, mostly of black and brown people.

There are several things I don't want. There must be something wrong with me A "pit bull" dog of any type To vape or smoke anything Vehicle ownership A luxury watch or expensive clothes other than functional outdoor wear brands A tattoo There must be something wrong with me. Some of the decorations look cute on young women but I would be just as enamored of them if they had none, as the belly button rings and piercings. Most of these tattooed ladies look hideous. 35 years ago no college girls had them, only some punks, and they didn't wax their framazama either. Guess i'm getting old and nostalgic.

Goral in Doi Inthanon national park delights tourists
Captain Monday replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
Very impressive. -
Why are there so many sympathizers on these threads? Go to you local bar beer and hear the banter from "Jimmy Saville" types. The leering, the self deprecating humor, the evasion. I never heard of him until I saw the shocking Netflix documentary actually I guess he was not very big in America. Thailand is overrun with these ghouls because the Kingdom does not require sufficient checks before them and other dangerous felons come in as a tourist then basically stay forever via extensions without sufficient home country criminal checks.

Recommendation for earwax removal
Captain Monday replied to natalieee's topic in Health and Medicine
youTube search for earwax. Some people suffer HUGE blockages I think it must be genetic. -
Most people don't get into deadly fights due to road rage. After a proper investigation is completed once again perhaps reconsider Thailand's shameful loose border policies. For most people I mean in my country of USA, about 70 percent. The other 30 percent are very easy to identify via their rap sheets. Were the criminal records of these "Frenchmen" examined before they were let in?
