  1. I don't have one here but down in Oz I used to have containers I had bought in China filled with products made in China I  imported and sold. Take it from me...they are as hot as hell inside in the summer.  Because of the heat we put together in pairs with many stacks of 4 pallets on the roof and old truck tarps across the top to block the sun.  Only had a small warehouse so we left half of product in containers. Once empty I sold the containers. Ps: The first few lots of containers were secondhand bought sight unseen...which was a mistake.  After that I bought new from the one factory and never had another problem!

This part of his comment I actually believe, which is a rare occurrence.

In matters such as this, Thailand has only ONE standard -- the rich and influential/connected get off entirely or mostly from criminal matters, except for those that are politically motivated.

In that regard, their one standard has been very clear for a very long time.

BTW, in regards to the rest of the OP and the company's statement, what it DOESN'T address is what ownership share of the company he stands to inherit from his family or whatever other funds he receives based on their business income/profits.  It's not like he's out there earning a living on his own.

Who do you think has been funding his rich lifestyle on the run on this years since the policeman was killed?

A "GoFundMe" page.  Text would read: Super rich spoiled brat needs to maintain his lifestyle while avoiding prosecution on a charge of murdering a policeman in Thailand.  Target US$12 million.

  3. My pet peeve is the dam pallets in the aisles.  They shut 23:00 and open again at 06:00.  7 hours for restocking.

My second pet peeve is not all stores carry the same products.  Pepperoni x 1kg for example I can only get at Phitsanulok store on the hwy but not at the old Makro over near immigration...or the store at Phichit.  Cheese selection is light on.  Not sure I want to try cheddar made in USA! Have bought Celso (???) Parmesan made in USA which is OK when compared to none at all.  Pauly Wisconsin cream cheese OK.

We shop at Phichit (65 km from here) store more than Phitsanulok (97km).  Don't need Pepperoni every trip!  Plus Phichit has a top class diesel repair shop, top dynamo, great irrigation and pump shop, great steel supply shop, great electrical repair shop, dog groomer...just OK!, vet and my bank is there.

Still no news on how the batteries will eventually be destroyed.

I think I know the answer.  The acid will be drained out and dumped in the nearest klong.  The casing will be cut to have an open top, painted black and sold in garden centers as planters.   The top bit that is cut off just leave in a heap and the lead melted down for fishing sinkers.

Last year's rice crop was abysmal due to the drought.

Add to that the fact that demand for Thai exports (cars, electronics etc.) will be massively down due to Covid19 and tourism has been devastated, it's going to be double digit GDP shrinkage for sure. Tough times ahead for the Thai economy, unfortunately.

Things weathe wise are a bit bleak around here at the moment with poor rainfall.  Most rice farmers are pumping water out of the klongs to keep the rice crops growing.  The knock on effect is if there is not enough rain in the coming months the dry season corn crop will be greatly reduced or not grown.
