American wanted for sharing explicit videos and abusing Thai women
fredwiggy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Along with too much alcohol to the wrong type, boredom, mental illness, prejudice against a people who are all nationalities, which is plain ignorant, and narcissism, thinking they are somehow superior, when they are actually inferior thinking because of low self esteem. -
Paying bills, taking care of kids, family perhaps? The cost of vehicle loans, mortgages, food, gas, schooling, and other amenities has a lot of people running out every month. People who have no children have things a lot easier, as well as those who don't travel. There are millions at poverty level, on welfare, food stamps etc. For every person someone knows that has it pretty good, there are many more that are struggling every month. Some live beyond their means, thinking they need to keep up with the Joneses, and this is why the debt level is so high.

Anything besides promo calls your best bet is to walk outside (if you live in a metro area around other Thais, any who might speak a little English) and give the phone to them , asking them what the caller wants, and then if it's important, ask them to ask the caller to find someone who speaks English to call you back. If it's a delivery, GPS can find you easily, more so if you're the only farang around, whereby everyone can direct them to your house. Like others have said, if you can't speak Thai, get help from others. Speaking basic English helps anyone anywhere, especially if they are dealing with English speaking farangs, but it isn't their responsibility in Thailand to know English as most of their deliveries are going to locals. I get many deliveries at my house in the country yearly, and it just takes a little patience dealing with them until they know your house.

Believed in what a Thai woman told me when we met here in Thailand. She was very pretty and charming, spoke a little English, had a 5 year old daughter and worked at a hotel laundry in Isaan. Came back after having a great month with her, and talking daily until I returned. vIsited again, returned home. Got married, traveled back and forth, honeymoon, pregnant with our daughter, waiting to sell my house in America. Started building house, red flags came on, but ignored mostly because miscommunication was the real problem. After house was built, small arguments over very little had her kidnap my daughter 4 times before I had to file for a divorce to make her return my daughter. In America she wouldn't have gotten past the first time and been jailed. Joint custody, although now she works in Pattaya and I have my daughter full time, until I can return with her to America. She had another daughter I didn't find about until after we were together. She gave her up at age 9 to ex's family, second at age 10 to another ex's family, got her back, now she's with first daughter and her husband while ex works in Pattaya. Grandma had second daughter for awhile also, just like 1/3 of the other children here in Thailand. This is to show you what can happen, not that it will, because there are some women here that are more sincere, although money is always in the front. They want a better life, and you can't blame them, because the local men are usually not responsible enough to stay with a woman, besides the farmers. My advice would be the same as a few before. Visit, get to know here for as long as you can before you commit to staying with her here and marrying.Rent, don't buy., a house or condo. Helping her with money isn't a bad thing, as that's what the majority of farangs do that don't just buy their women. Her working (if true) is a good thing. Do her kids live with her, meaning do you see them most of the time while video chatting? Many live in Bangkok while their kids are back in Isaan with grandma, which is a red flag as to being a responsible mother. Her being 38 puts her in a league where she isn't wanted by many, and having 2 kids puts her out of the ballgame as far as locals are concerned, except to being used by them. That's why a farang is a better choice, more likely to stay after sex. Just like any other relationship, and I speak from experience, take your time!!

I was going to say Jesus, to ask quite a few questions, and get answers on some very important topics, but someone beat me to it, so I'll say Hitler, just as WW 2 began, to ask him a few things , so I could save millions of lives after we were done drinking the coffee.

Ford Fiesta occasionally losing power
fredwiggy replied to Guderian's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Have had a 2013 Fiesta for a few years now, and almost all of the troubles I've had were, are, related to the TCM. It affects everything electrical. Just a few weeks ago though, the alternator went out, and I was lucky to be able to drive to the nearest Ford dealer about 2 kilos away. Stopped just as I got it parked. Funny thing, the radio went off first, then the power, the car going very slow. Then the warning dash lights, then in the control panel, it said, transmission malfunction, bring to dealer immediately. When it was checked, it didn't show anything transmission related on the computer. Just the charging system, so the warning was wrong. They said the battery was fine, but charging was less than 12 volts, so the alternator was replaced. Problem solved. The TCM was replaced last year, and it was giving me a lot of trouble beforehand, periodically, and Ford couldn't find the trouble right away , even though it should have shown up on the computer. When it did, I replaced it. The warranty was extended until 200,000 for this car just for that . As far as I recently heard, the service manager said it would be replaced again free because it was again extended more, but it didn't show up on the test while the charging system did, hence the alternator replacement. I also had trouble before when a sensor went out, power failure, acceleration etc. If you can, bring it to another local shop, just to see if they're analysis using the computer is different. Usually problems do show up on a computer test, but not always , or right away. -
If you know music and are really into good music, you know that a lot of what many others considers good is simple, dance rhythms and beats people can move to. That goes for the west as well as here in Thailand or Asia. Much of what is actually some of the better music released every year doesn't get worldwide promotion, and a lot of people will never be exposed to what is actually good. Even people that are really smart can like simple music that's largely electronic and doesn't involve good musicians. Thai people love to dance, and we hear the kind of music that's played all year here. Loud drum beats, squealing guitar playing and simple repeated notes. There are a few musicians here in Thailand that are pretty good. I still don't consider them as world class musicians like the one's I've listened to over 50 years, but I've been surprised in some I hear played here. I'm talking about instruments mostly, or parts of songs that are instrumental., because a lot of music here is pop copied from western sounds, and some of the sung words do not mix with the music. Those really into good music will understand this, if they are those who've been listening to good western (meaning American, European) music all their lives. I grew up in the 50's through now, along with the disco sounds I despised, with the exception of meeting girls in same clubs, and a lot of women love to dance, and like the dance music because of this. I won't waste time, which in life is already too short, listening to music I don't consider good. Rap, hip hop, dance, electronica and the like, aren't worth my time. and would rather spend my time listening to good rock, jazz, blues, metal, country, folk, classical, fusion, country rock, and folk rock. Much of the music you hear here blasted is what the younger crowd goes for. The same as in America. The older you get, usually, the more you gravitate to the better , more melodic, and better crafted sounds. The Macarena, a song I consider silly, is a song people can move to, which is why it was written. If you look at the bands that get into the music hall of fame, you wonder why, while so many much better musicians are ignored, at least for awhile. More younger voters, who don't know or understand what makes good music. There artists that are multi millionaires that make blase pop music that have millions of fans worldwide, just because of a few words in the song they can relate to, or because they can move to it. Beyonce, Madonna, Miley, and the like all know what makes money, and it mostly all sounds the same. Millions of people will never hear of Joe Bonamassa, Mark Knopfler, David Gilmour, Paul Rodgers, Mostly Autumn, Enya, and many progressive rock bands because most of what's really promoted is the former pap. I myself have turned my girlfriend here onto a lot of good western music, and since she understands English well, she can relate to it. She loves Thai music also, and I see this by what she listens to by herself, but she is surely one of the exceptions here, as most Thais will never hear most of what's really good music because most of what finds it's way here is the pop. There are many expats here, and some surely listen to some of the world's good music, but if they're wives aren't open minded or don't understand English well, much of what is played around them is lost as background noise. Instrumental music is the exception here, as that has no borders. Some of the musicians here seek out sheet music from the west, and this you can see in their playing, meaning mostly guitar, but also wood instruments, drums and strings.

It isn't about listening to the music that does anything. People with a higher average IQ will listen to a variety of music. Some of the smarter, if you regard having a higher IQ as smarter, will be listeners of classical music, maybe because of the intricacies of the music itself, although other music has this also. Higher IQ people tend to be more curious about the world and this also has some to do with what they enjoy in music.

All I have been doing is arguing intelligently. You prefer insults. I state facts. Your actions are the ones of a narcissist. If you don't understand what that means, look it up, although most don't readily admit it. I've had Parmigiano Reggiano many times, imported. It's my favorite pasta topping. And it only comes from one area.

The polls aren't going to have pizza restaurants there if the pizza doesn't match up in taste. That's a ridiculous statement. You think a restaurant is going to be highly rated because of their tablecloths and flower arrangements? Again, you need to spend years in a place before you even begin to understand its ways. Passing through in a rental car and stopping every day for a slice doesn't cut it.
-
I think they are comparable. I lived in Jersey 30 years before moving to Texas. In San Antonio, there is a restaurant, Florio's, who are from the town I lived in, and had a pizza place in Bergen County. As soon as I tasted their pizza, I was home. They had supplies sent from NYC and NJ to Texas. It's rated the best in San Antonio.
-
I argue from facts. Emotions have nothing to do with this. What standards, again, are you referring to, that are "different". And different from where?
-
I'm not mad. I'm sticking up for myself against a person who calls me retarded, something that's very disrespectful and childish. My claims are valid, as is proven by millions of others, who I'm guessing you think are retarded also, because they think NYC pizza is tops. You have yet to prove any poll is fake also, even though that's not my deal. And again, I have no need to prove anything to you. You made an opinion. You were assuming things and twisting what I said around. If you need proof, ask the individual restaurants in the US what they use. Good luck, that might take you a few years. Just to get past New York.
-
They're NOT my polls. You asked for some, I provided some. You disputed because you think you are right. All polls aren't about marketing. Some actually are voted in. It doesn't matter anyway. I don't go by polls. I go by word of mouth and experience. I don't make opinions Facts matter, opinions don't. What's good for one, isn't for another. Some, like the OP, like Hawaiian pizza. I think it's okay, but it doesn't compare to an Italian with fresh mushrooms and sausage, with real mozzarella, homemade sauce and dough made with water from specific areas. And yes, the water does matter. Something that might slip by you. When I try a particular pizza, then I will see if it's good, to me. Polls mean nothing to me. They are there to tell others what others have experienced, and some are specifically to sell a product. Again, since this has blown past you again and again. I don't fall for anyone's opinion. I make my own, but things I established. You asking if someone that's obviously way past your thinking, and by your narcissistic replies, has a closed mind also, which doesn't lend itself to learning more but believing things you already have in your mind as true, and not open for higher learning, if I'm retarded, when I'm and have been, a daily reader all of my life, come from parents with genius level IQ's, and have been from an area inundated with Italians and their culture, and saying I don't understand what good Italian food is, that's again, pure unadulterated crapola.
-
You are another in the long line of people who visit the US for a couple weeks, and become an authority on it and it's cultures and food. You aren't. You know very little and nothing compared to a person who was born there and lived there for 62 years. Again, if it sinks in this time. When I visit Italy, then I will see for myself how the pizza is. I'm sure I'll like it, because others who have much the same comments on pizza we have tried back home have been there and told me all about it, that it's much like back home. Remember again, the pizzas made in the US, many of them, are being made by Italians FROM Italy, who import and grow their own ingredients, so they can make "copies" of what they made back in Italy. Funny, they say these "copies" are just like they made back home. But you're the expert, a person who spent how long in the US and had how many pizzas there? Of course you know more than the owners, the ones who make these pizzas daily. But the ingredients aren't up to "your" standards, of which I say, crapola. And tell us what standards you are talking about, and interesting ingredients. I like pizza with sausage, mushrooms and onions mainly. I've had pizza with almost everything one might add, and I still prefer the basics.
-
What do you think are all of the pizzas worldwide made daily besides copies? Do you actually think before you reply? As far as ego, I've shown that to be the case because you still aren't getting the main point I've been making all along. You once said Italian pizzas were the best, in another post. after I mentioned that NYC, NJ area pies are about the best worldwide. I stand by that comment. AMONG the best worldwide, copies of another's recipes passed down for many decades. Italian pies are rated at the top also. because...............that's where they originated from, and you'd think they'd have things down by now. Your replies about me being retarded not clever, etc , are those made by a person who thinks they are right, without knowing the other person. That IS narcissism, egotistical, arrogant. Pick the verb that fits. You've proven absolutely nothing. You have made opinions. I have pointed out what a few polls have said, backing my statement that NYC pizza is among the best worldwide. Others seem to agree, hence the polls. Oh, I forgot, those are just about ambience and service, and nothing to do with taste. Look things up, researching on NYC pizza. See what others say. You might learn a thing or two.
-
Yes, I fell for it, whatever it is to you, someone who assumes who I am and what I know. Myself, and the millions who eat pizza yearly in the US, and many who have traveled to Italy and said the same things I have.
-
You've spent a fair amount of time traversing the US? A month or so, trying pizza in a few places? Do you actually think that compares to 62 years, traversing all of America? You have NO idea of the standards that are in the US. Don't assume you do. "The average quality of ingredients did not meet my standard" Who the hell are you? You think Europe has better pizza than the US??? You need to get out more, and I mean out, not drive from one place to another, passing by 99.9% of the restaurants available. I know pizza. You think you do, because you've been to Italy. That doesn't deem you an expert by any means. Try reading what I write and not just breeze through without comprehending all of it. I HAVE Italian relatives and friends, all of my life, from the NYC area, a place that is the go to place for Italian food in the US, yes, totally comparable to Italy, because.....................they come from Italy. I'm willing to bet I've had more Italian food in the first 20 years of my life than you will ever have, unless again, you're from Italy, which would close the gap. When I visited there in November, I brought back food you can not get here. Sauces, made in Italy, but of course, you will say, it's bottled, and not comparable to homemade. Maybe, but they sure are good.
-
I'm not attacking but pointing out the obvious. It might be better for you to let this one go, because not everyone doesn't understand a narcissist and their ways. READ AGAIN. I did not say any pizza was the best. I said AMONG the best, and you know that I've meant that all along. I don't make the polls. People do. Read more, reply less.
-
That's what I've been trying to get across to him, but his ego won't allow him to actually read what others write, but pick apart it to suit his agenda. SOME of the best. AS good as anywhere else. Not worse, not better. Authentic "copies" made by chefs that use recipes handed down from other authentic chefs that came from the origin area.
-
For one, I don't make up anything. You asked for links, I sent them. You dispute everything because you think you're right. I don't care if you were born in Italy. I have had close experience with Italian chefs all of my life. Authentic, who yes, sometimes used fresh and sometime canned tomatoes. Yes, there is a difference, but it doesn't make one better than the other. People all have their own taste buds, many of which are marred by too much cigarettes, too much spice, or alcohol. You say the ingredients are not as good in the US as in Italy. That's your opinion. Others, who are chefs, say otherwise. They were born in Italy, and came here to do the same. They don't cut corners where making pizza is concerned. Not if they want repeat customers based on word of mouth. What is a passable imitation if it tastes as good as the original? How many NYC area pizzas have you tried, and talked with the owners about and what they used. I'm thinking just a few. I've sampled hundreds of different restaurants, and talked to many regarding what they use. Those that would talk and let me into their kitchens. Having Italian relatives helps also, many from the old country. Read this once more. I did NOT say there was a best pizza. I said the NYC area has always been in the top when it comes to making pies. This doesn't mean first place. As far as I'm concerned, there are many that are equally as good. Polls show what many consider to be the top places. You don't get voted in if you have inferior pizza. Taste is the number one priority, no matter what the restaurant offers. I'd rather have a great pizza in a 10 table small shop on a side street in Brooklyn than a $60 pie in a high class restaurant with Tony Bennett singing any day. And again, you assume I have been convinced of something, thinking I'm a youngster with little experience in how this world works. Far from it. I'm from New Jersey, NYC area, one of the most densely populated areas as far as Italians is concerned, and if you knew my life, you would see you are far more gullible than anything I could ever be. Don't assume things. You aren't the top taste tester as far as pizzas are concerned. Your opinion means little. Copying recipes doesn't make them second or third best, or worse. It's how you make more of the same. Is one Ford Explorer not the same as the next 3000 on a production line? Al;l copies, all the same. You make 100 pizzas using the same ingredients a recipe calls for, they will all turn out the same, if you follow the same protocol. Copies. You can waffle on all you want. Thinking something is more clever than someone you don't know a thing about makes a person look opinionated, egotistical and suffering from a major lack of common sense. I've been a psych reader for over 30 years, and your type stands out immediately, but will rarely admit it. And every reply shows this more.
-
I'm going to put this into terms any teenager would understand, which means you have a chance. I said, I have talked with many chefs from many restaurants in 3 states. Some were from Italy. Some have relatives from Italy who owned restaurants. Talking with these people means......................they have told me what they use to make their pizzas, which is sometimes in bags (flour usually comes in bags) in tins, cans, whatever you understand, imported. Some use fresh ingredients, which does help with flavor. Locally grown, which yes, matches what grows in Italy. You simply do not understand a basic concept. You know nothing about what I and others know, as far as knowledge. You assume, many times, what I'm saying is one thing when it's another. Again, so maybe this time you will understand, but I doubt it. I'm NOT saying any one pizza is the best worldwide. Many people have voted for the top pizzas worldwide, and if a large percentage votes for a particular pizza, does that make them right? Majority rules? When you get a lot of pizza afficionados together to vote, and they vote for the top, it does mean they have had enough experience trying many pies, to make an educated opinion of these matters. A decent copy? That statement means nothing. What do you think, that the original pizza made is the only one that's like it or that copies are the same? Also, a person can take a recipe and use the same ingredients and make "copies" that are exactly the same as the original. Or do all copies taste different??? My Godfather's mom came directly from Sicily, and made, to this day, the best sauce I've ever had. Homemade, but it did have canned tomatoes. She was known city wide as having this sauce for many years, and everyone related came to their house for Saint Josephs Day to eat, with the sauce. I have tried, using the same exact ingredients, to copy this sauce. I came close, but not all the way. I have Italian relatives, have eaten at their homes many times, authentic Italian food, In Brooklyn (where parents are from), and in NYC. Do you think they don't know how to make authentic Italian? Many were from Italy, and the relatives were passed down the recipes. I know what true Italian cooking is, probably a lot more than you'll ever know, unless you are Italian with the same kind of background. Try not to assume what I know. You will be way off base. I don't buy things because of marketing but by word of mouth and experience. I'm not a watcher of commercials nor a buyer from same. You wanted a few links, I gave them to you. You can look things up also, and if you dispute everything, that shows more narc tendencies where you're always right. Trust me, you aren't here.
-
Actually, again, I do have a clue. It's you who are closed minded and sticking with your opinions because you visited Italy. Instant expert it seems. Your statements are definitely teen minded, as you think you actually know me, or my friends, and what they have done. Again, I did not say New York style was the best. I said, again, it is among the top pizzas worldwide. This is a fact, and if you disagree, you either haven't been there, or your taste buds are clouded by either smoking or hot sauce. Again, for the last time to a definite narcissist, and your replying shows that even more, you do NOT know anything about me nor any of my friends and what they have experienced or what we (they) know. Your assumptions shows a lack of plain common sense, and your opinions mean just that. Taking a "look" at the top restaurant isn't the same as going there and trying the pizza is it? Every reply shows you to be what I explained earlier, and one that goes mainly by your experiences and not of thousands of others. By the way, my friends did have pizza is a few places in Naples, and again, they said they were good, comparable to the best in NYC, which millions agree, are as good as any worldwide. ............................................https://robbreport.com/food-drink/dining/2023-best-pizza-1234897166/And again, for the last time, the owners I have talked with , do use the same ingredients, exported and domestic, that they used in Italy. I saw some of these, imported from Italy, imported from New York, from Italy, and they, the chefs in some of these restaurants, or their relatives, are FROM Italy, which makes them knowledgeable, much more than yourself, on what goes into the pizza they create. Lastly, research more, talk less. It helps with others opinions on you. Since you obviously don't know how to google....................https://www.enjoytravel.com/en/travel-news/food-and-drink/worlds-best-pizza

I don't have to prove myself to a person that thinks they are right, in a narcissistic attitude, which has no cure. You have no clue to whom you are replying to, nor how much I do know . All you are making is, again, your own opinion. Having pizza in Italy, like so many of my friends, who's opinions I agree with because I actually know they are intelligent and have sampled pizza from both places, doesn't make you an expert on said topic. Only an opinionated one. If you think I think any one place is the best, you're wrong.I said most of the best pizza comes from the New York area, and this is true. I didn't say any other places worldwide aren't comparable. can you not understand this? I also do not need to provide proof on what ingredients anyone uses. I know many pizza owners in New York, New Jersey and Texas, all of whom use much of the same products, and some the same suppliers. Some of these owners came from Italy, and yes, I do,and did, have conversations with them, and see what they are using, and they have said they use a lot of the same product they used back in Italy. This is them speaking, showing me, not you thinking you actually know someone from a few typed words here, which isn't too bright in any event. You keep on posting like this, and it shows your narcissistic tendencies, of which again, there is no cure. You thinking you know more than anyone, especially me, is wrong. Your opinions are just that. If you have time other than wasting here, you can look it up yourself polls on what pizzas are regarded as the best. If a restaurant has great ambience, decor and excellent service, that doesn't get them to the top of the list. It still takes the pizza's taste, or are you too dense to understand this too? The only thing you have done and I haven't is tried pizza in Italy. That again, means nothing, as you aren't an expert on pizza just because you had a few. I've had pizza in hundreds of places over 67 years. That gives me some knowledge on quality, and it just happens to mirror what the friends I have that visited Italy have said. They are as good as the ones in the NYC area, not any better. Again, I will visit Italy someday, and sample the pizza, and make my own opinion about them, an opinion that means little, like yours, to anyone besides my own tastes. I don't make things up. Wake up and stop shoveling your BS. No one is agreeing and if you actually did know me, you wouldn't comment at all, because one type of person I've never gotten along with are arrogant, know it all narcissists, who have no place in society, and always think they are right, even when they are proven wrong over and over. This is pizza, and none are the best. People who are connoisseurs of pizza might think one is the best, while another with as much experience might say another is. Who's right? That's your answer, if again, you can comprehend. Some, by voting, are sitting at the top. There are reasons for this. Can you understand what these reasons are? Lastly, the word retarded is one used by preteens and teens to insult someone they think isn't too bright. Adults do not use that word because it is disrespectful and childish. That alone shows you're either not that old, or not too bright.
