A man that can handle himself can subdue another with help with no resort to letting it get out of hand. It isn't Thai bashing to point out what is. More kids, and adults, drown here than a lot of countries. Thailand is actually 22 out of 183 countries. If they really cared, they would make laws regarding driving were enforced, along with having students sit on top of buses to school. You teach your kids to swim as young as possible so if they get near water they don't panic. You don't fear but respect water. The journey was from San Antonio Texas to Bergen County New Jersey. It took me 34 hours to complete the journey. Do you understand cars run out of gas and you need to stop for fuel, along with not waiting 34 hours to take a piss, drink a soda or eat?

Sure it is. A trip with stops means staying overnight. Not stopping to get food or gas or a bathroom break. No one can go more then a few hours without stopping for something.

I only stopped for food, drinks or gas. A few minutes each time.

I was 22 and couldn't wait to get back home to New Jersey from my first trip to Texas. Every time I thought about pulling over to rest I just kept going and was like a zombie when I pulled up back in Jersey. Never again besides the times I drove to Florida from Texas , maybe 900 miles and 16 hours. Now I drive to Bangkok and it's too long.

True but knowing how to swim has you able to reach the shore where you can wait for help, as I know about these ponds here, right in my backyard is one with mud sides where a child would have a hard time getting out of the pond, but at least above the water. Kids drown all over, but here it's an epidemic because of the lack of care enough to teach basics.

Kicking while another is down is and has always been a cowards act. This isn't a fight using martial arts. Locals here think they're all muay thais using haphazard kicks because they don't know how to use their hands or fear breaking them. The majority of gun owners in the US are legitimate owners, hunters, target shooters and carriers for self defense. If someone comes at you with a weapon and you're carrying it isn't a cowards way but the person attackings mistake. Here they use sticks, machetes, guns and knives, and most of them are carrying illegally. Not for self defense but to intentionally attack others.

I'm thinking a large majority of adults don't know how to swim, nor care to teach, so won't try to teach their children the basics of staying afloat and making it to shore. More kids raised by grandparents not capable of some of the basics of child rearing.

Do you think before you reply or do they just come out? One slapped a woman. We don't know why , although again, it isn't right to hit a woman, especially if it again, is just a minor dispute. No one deserves "permanent injury" for a slap. Ganging up on another 2-10 against 1 is a coward's act. And men who hit woman will hit them again, and nothing's going to stop them.

I think you're missing the point of how savage this beating was. Yes, hitting a woman is always wrong, even if she hits you ,scams you or cheats on you. She'll get hers someday . The attack we see here is just another incidence of ganging up on others 5-10 against 1 or 2, with the usual, cowardly kicking. We haven't seen , like another said, anything besides this video and it saying a woman was slapped. That many could have removed the person who slapped the girl and called the police, although they might not have done much, but escalating to this degree can easily have someone killed, and a slap doesn't warrant that. You don't learn a lesson by being hospitalized over a slap, or dying for that matter. Anyone who would slap a woman will do it again and again. As far as you being there, you also could have beaten down by the Israelis. One on one isn't the same as what this story tells. Assuming doesn't fly.

Illegal overloading goes on daily all year long in Thailand. You never see these lorries, pickup trucks or school buses pulled over because again, no one cares. In all likelihood he was on his phone and going too fast to stop if he even saw the truck ahead of him. A red flag is supposed to be used when cargo sticks out a little bit from the back, but it wouldn't have made a difference here.

Accusing officers of doing their job? It was indeed a minor offense so why did he flee? The police are allowed to give chase. It had a license plate, and if it was his motorbike, they could go to his house and ticket him for both offenses, but it could have been a stolen bike, seeing he was fleeing for a minor offense. For a loud exhaust he likely would have been given a warning anyway. The police were chasing three bikes, and all took off, so it was obvious they were running from something, although it might have been the other two that had a reason to flee and they took off after the lone driver. Sad he had to die for something so minor.

By the way, I'm again neutral and support changes for the better. Both sides have some good ideas but fighting is what they do and is why things are so unbalanced.
