  1. I've been in the gym business for over 50 years, training and training others, and have seen what's in and out of the gyms all that time, and know all about obesity percentages worldwide. It's like I said. Things have been changing here for the worse for decades, and obesity here will rival a lot of western countries for those reasons I made. The average Thai woman might be, for now, a tad smaller than western women, but it's changing . The only reason more aren't fat here is the lack of money for good food, but as that increases, so will the dress sizes. There are many more farmers here than in western countries, which mean more are doing daily farm work with that less food intake. I observe because that's my thing, being in shape, and it's what I've been seeing since I've been here. Most Thais are gaining weight, especially after their young bodies begin to age. The same things happen in the west, but again, more gym memberships, more money and more knowledge of diet gives them a better chance of staying thinner. This means things here are approaching what's wrong back home, and will continue indefinitely. People love to eat, but most do not know or care what they are eating and how it affects their bodies. The longer I live here, the more fat women and men I see, especially after 50 but even younger, because most people again, do not know or care about what they are eating. I lived in the US 62 years, and daily saw women in the 50's that still look good. Of course more were fat. Women aren't looking like men because they get fatter. They just look like fatter women. Thai women age rapidly after 50, much more than western women because of the sun and harder lives here. Western women have to their advantage more knowledge of skin care products and are more likely to use them at that age than those after 50 here. Yes, more Thai women are slimmer . for now, than western women, but again, that's changing daily.
  2. These are all personal opinions, like I made when I talked about their eyes, brown skin and good cooks. There are millions of western women over 50 that still look great and take care of themselves and actually a larger percentage will do what it takes to take care of themselves than Thais will, as gyms are a lot more prevalent there than here, and Thais are less likely to go to them over 50. Obesity is larger, for now, than Thailand but it's slowly creeping up because of the influx of western food here, the propensity for eating too much rice and nothing to do after they reach 50 because farm work gets harder as you age. Wrinkles might happen in western world more, but here it's skin turning browner and dried out because of too much sun exposure. Before I moved here, and a little afterwards, I thought there were a lot more thin, beautiful women here but after being here 6 years, I see more of the opposite than I do the beautiful because I'm more exposed to village life than before. And like said, obesity is increasing yearly, and sooner than you think, it will come closer to western because of the lack of people going to gyms, more likely to just sit around because farm work isn't as easy when you get older, and again, the rice, every meal, every day, which has to be burned off before stored body fat is in order to stay lean. When Thai women hit 50, they lose it fast. Not all, most, the same as western women, but western women are more likely to again, hit the gym and know more about diet than here.
  3. Many make decisions based on very little information or personal experience. All races have beautiful, fat, small, huge, disproportionate, bald, beautiful and ugly women. Just like some thinking all Americans carry guns and all Brits and Irish are fall down drunks, Blacks are all big down below, all Mexicans cheat, all Muslims beat their wives, and other generalizations based on little experience.
  4. Maybe it was the fur and flask of whiskey that threw you.
  5. Of course some make generalizations about the Chinese.............
  6. Asian eyes, brown skin, love the way they speak English (accented), more likely to give you a massage, good cooks (if taught by mom).
  7. I'm thinking more like $606. And you said you paid $2000 for two seats, so it's a lot less using Justfly.
  8. They told me I couldn't have a credit card, and when I tried to get the APP, just to use my account, it didn't work two times, and they couldn't explain how. I think it was a matter of them not knowing I could have both, but didn't understand their jobs fully. My branch has a few ladies working there, and one, the manager, you could tell she didn't like foreigners just from her attitude, while the others are always cordial to me. When you're dealing with people, what they bring into their jobs could be prejudice, hatred, a bad mood because their husband was bad to them or just a bad hair day. The same with all officials that have your business in their hands. One will allow something, while the next will say no. I have friends who have other banks, and they have credit cards and the APP. My girlfriend has an APP for her bank, and she doesn't have much of a savings in it. I got Bangkok Bank when I moved here, as I was married back then, and I think I couldn't get a credit card back then because they knew if anything happened to me, my wife could drain the account, so they said I couldn't have a card. I've since opened another account at the same branch, but the APP never worked and I still couldn't get a credit card. they never said anything about a secured card, just that I couldn't get one. Politics or ignorance.
  9. Might want to delete your reply, as it could find it's way into the wrong hands.Even though SS IS your money, to be given to anyone you please. They just borrow our money to get interest awhile, then give it back.
  10. One way Bangkok to Sydney is only $399 USD during the week. Use Cheapoair or Justfly. Same seats for less.
  11. You try sitting in a seat on an international flight for 12 hours without reclining.
  12. Do they put you in baggage?
  13. My APP never worked, along with them not allowing me to have a credit card since I get my SS transfers from the US.
  14. Your last line should read, "Women will only show an interest in me if I have a lot of money"
  15. All here will take up a gofundme for you to pay for it.
  16. Do NOT buy the Fiesta, especially the 2013-14 models. I've had one for 6 years and have only had problems since. The TCM transmission module is a major problem, especially after a certain amount of kilos. Ford extended it's warranty for this alone. I had to replace mine twice, and it needed one again when my engine caught fire 2 weeks ago while I was driving. This seems to happen quite often with the Fiestas and Focus. I was lucky when I pulled over there was a house right there so I could run and put out the fire before the care was engulfed. Ford wants 205,000 baht to fix it and the cars not worth that anyway. Ford is under an over 400 people class action lawsuit in Thailand alone for this and other problems people have been having. I'm currently talking to them to have them pay off what I owe on the car, which isn't much. The car's suspension has trouble, as well as the brakes. This is above all the usual things you will replace along the way. Buy a Toyota if you can. I've had a few and they last.................https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/business/2017/04/04/ford-owners-demand-24m-baht-compensation-faulty-cars/
  17. Maybe not, because they wouldn't know what to do with them, but you might be sold into a bordello or to a fat middle eastern millionaire looking for his fantasy.
  18. Did this in Texas with everything that wasn't perishable. It disappeared in a day most every time. People drive around looking for things left out, to either repair or scrap.
  19. Fans get constant use here. Best and safest bet is to replace. You don't want it shorting and maybe causing a fire if you're not watching. Motor getting red hot is a warning sign to not use.
  20. Those numbers are the averages, the coasts are usually higher humidity..........https://weather-and-climate.com/
  21. It actually is higher humidity in the Philippines, being on the coast. Thailand- 68-72%, Philippines-72-82%
  22. Better to stay indoors at night in any big city.
  23. That's what I did. Always a better idea to take more time to get to know them in every way. Love blinds you sometimes, as well as a pretty face. I had children with them, so that's one reason I tried to make things work, but if you're with someone that doesn't want to work with you, or does despicable things, it doesn't help matters.
  24. Gang violence isn't random, but it is the most prevalent of homicides. There is a lot more random violence here than most anywhere else, especially in the US. Poor countries breed poverty, which means some will do anything for money. Foreigners are attacked here every week. You only hear of some of them. The Philippines has more terrorism than Thailand, so that's much of the violence. There are less robberies here than in the US, but violent gun crime matches it there. Most crime here is Thai against Thai of course, and it also is a lot higher than you'd think. There is more TV coverage in the US than here, so most of what happens here, being local, won't make it to the new stations, unlike in the US where violence is top billing. News here involves snakes in homes, gold store being robbed by people on scooters, traffic accidents and deaths, and things that would never make the news elsewhere. There are many gangs here, and much of what happens within them you'll never hear about. Domestic violence is high everywhere, as is bad parenting, which breeds it.
