Other than Afghanistan there was no wars in the middle east. Biden was a very weak president. It's no surprise that bad actors in the Middle east and Russia took advantage of this fact. Maybe my memory is incorrect, but I don't recall such wars starting when Trump was last president, and even seem to recall some kind of peace agreement in the middle east when he was last in office. I'm expecting to see a new era of de-escalation and perhaps even peace over the next 4 years and hopefully beyond. I doubt that Japan are thinking about increasing the number of illegal immigrants now are they? People do not mind legal immigration so long as it is in low enough numbers that the legal immigrants assimilate and they bring skills the country needs. No country wants them as the first act they commit when arriving in the country is a criminal one, which shows they have no respect for the country's laws that they are trying to get into. Of all the arguments about why its a bad idea to deport illegal immigrants, I think this is the worst one and has been going on for way too long now in the west. The view that Americans are too good to do the "cotton picking" and this has to be done by colored people from another land for "slave wages", is an archaic view that should be abolished along with slavery. I cannot speak for farming technology per say, but I thought we had moved on a bit from humans doing repetitive laborious work and invented machines to handle most of this. Once upon a time in the UK if someone wanted to get their car cleaned they would pay someone to wash the car by hand. Then the automated car wash was invented and no-one needed to pay someone to wash their car by hand. Then the illegal immigrant was invented and now automated car washes are nowhere to be found and its back to washing cars by hand, presumably as human labour (when illegal) is cheaper than buying a machine.

The sooner people come to accept there is no perfect outcome from this and peace negotiations will no doubt lead to concessions from Ukraine that leaves a bad taste in the mouth, the sooner that the people from both Ukraine and Russia can stop dying unnecessarily at the whim of their leaders who do not really care about them.

A more realistic example is a gym where people get showered in communal showers. How many gendered spaces do you think there should be in gym? Would a 2 spirit be able to share with androgynes, or do they each need their own separate space?

Hi LA, If you like illegal immigrants we have about a million+ illegal migrants going spare. They just need feeding 3 times a day, free money, free phones, free medical treatment, free dentistry and free transport. They do prefer to stay for free in 4 star hotels but they can rough it in a 3 star if necessary, although do expect some negative reviews from them if you do have use a lower than expected star level of course. Starmer has now come out and said he gets it as his first job was on a farm, which is right up there with Rachel Reeves claims she was a chess champion and an economist. This is another stupid Labour policy that was rushed through without speaking to farmers or the body that represents them that will harm the UKs ability to feed itself, all for just £560 million a year, which is equivalent to 25 hours worth of NHS spending. I don't think the UK can survive another 4 years and 6 months of this Labour government. They are doing way too much harm already and it is so early on. The farmers look like they will soon adopt a more French style approach to protesting, and the arrogance and stupidity of Labour for just 25 hours of NHS spending will see the UK descend into chaos as the protests and dissatisfaction escalates.

Well, you cannot have peace and stability if your neighbours are literal terrorists. Giving Israel the support it needs to wipe out the terrorists next door should ensure they do actually get what they voted for, which will be peace and stability after the terrorists have been eradicated. Another approach to this that often gets overlooked by terrorists, leftists and muslims is that Hamas can lay down their weapons at any time, return the innocent civilian hostages they kidnapped, and then surrender and face justice for their crimes. This will ensure an instant ceasefire, followed of course by the peace and stability they voted for.

Ok I'll play. What was racist about the post she made? As far as I can make out she confused a Pakistani flag with a Palestinian one. Is it racist to mix up flags now? I don't think so. Do Palestinians hate Jews? I think it is fair to say that Palestinian flag holders typically hate Jews. So what specifically did she do or say that was racist.

Why are you so excited about this? Who cares whether they went to speak to her about a "Non crime hate incident" or a "crime" about a tweet? It's just semantics. She isn't lying about the fact that she was visited by 2 or more police officers about a tweet. A tweet. When they have over 100,000 unsolved victim based crimes that need solving. The only crime that was committed was by the person who committed an actual crime (which is a crime), of wasting police time i.e the person who reported the tweet.

They have actually received 127619 complaints where there were actual victims of crimes in 2024. They have solved just 13458 of them. So that means 114161 actual crimes with actual victims are unsolved! Yet they have the time to send officers to the home of a journalist about a tweet where there was no victim, no loss, no suffering, no actual crime. Like I said, if I was them I would probably keep my head down if these were the publicly available performance statistics they have on display, and certainly not draw even more attention to it. No they were not obliged to investigate a tweet, don't be ridiculous. They are not even obliged to investigate burglaries etc nowadays and do not even send officers to investigate those kind of crimes.

Weird how the Essex police are claiming some kind of moral victory here. They went to a woman's house on a Sunday morning to interview her about a "crime" about a tweet and arguing about semantics of why they were there, rather than what the real issue is that they are turning up to peoples houses as they are policing social media rather than investigating real crimes. Once this number is closer to 100% and they have nothing better to do with their time then perhaps they can justify spending some time policing tweets and claiming some kind of moral high ground here. If I was them I would not want this story to drag on and let it die before others start noticing how badly they are performing.
