new Wise account details, bank says fraud
Bvor replied to seajae's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
just spoke with Wise (accent not easily understood) he didn't know what I was referring to re Wise wallet which I could not see on screen same as before 6/11. He told me my acc number has changed but didn't know when or what it was or why I wasn't notified - I use payid anyways. did a $20 test run see attached - my usual delay - no 4 minutes/ instantaneous/in advance - amounts I send eg $5000 - $10000 my enquiries a waste of time and still have no idea why my transfer times not same as others. probably stick with them the alternatives maybe not any better. -
new Wise account details, bank says fraud

when did your Thai bank credit transfer to your account? Wise suggests up to 2 working days days. my transfers have never been credited to my account by Bangkok Bank same day as sent by Wise. I use wise payid from my bank contacts and on advice by Wise re quicker transfers I will now select the wise wallet option to receive and park funds immediately prior to transaction. I also get a bit confused and to date I have not been notified of any account changes. thinking of bringing cash with me on future trips.......get a lesser exchange rate but am less stressed with Wise and also TRD if I go >180 days - assessable/non assessable who knows for sure - getting a bit much for this old Oz. -
Can still be up to IO discretion - but yes most likely not unlimited. So how many VE entries trigger IO harassment and the time between visits bizo prompting tourist eVisa (maybe or maybe not) there is no consistency creating best guess scenarios and that's my gripe - anyways such is life in LOS thanks for your input Doc.

I live in Oz and am a frequent LOS visiter 4/5 times per year. I just did a tourist eVisa cos of fear of IO discretion making up their own rules re multiple VE's and demanding eVisa etc re " come too many times" accusations. During 2024 I did 2 tourist visa's first 6 months and 2 VE's second 6 months for a total of <180 days and intend to do same in 2025 and beyond - subject to IO discretion (Non O, DTV, etc not for me). MFA Deputy Director has clearly stated they are unlimited but subject to IO discretion Not according to directives via IO discretion

Not according to the Centrelink International officer that i spoke to on Monday. What you are subscribing maybe clear in your mind but not so for many other OAP's and as far as I could see is not substantiated on the Centrelink website - i stand corrected if you can provide a relevant link to the Centrelink website.
-
I rang Centrelink International today who advised me that "continues forever" is incorrect as will cease for all OAP after 6 weeks outside Oz. He scoffed at the notion and cautioned me re scammers, trolls, etc.
-
Your link would assist me when seeking clarity from Centrelink - although not applying to me the moved abroad and/or 2 year scenario has me curious and as I am now back in Oz I may contact Centrelink in respect to a few of my OAP mates living in LOS . cheers
-
please provide link. Not according to my upcoming payment 19/12/2 4 after 6 weeks in LOS - albeit I have not "moved abroad", but am a frequent travellerand always affected by the 6 week rule. See my above post Tuesday 4.26pm.

Prostate surgery user reviews .... turp? rezum? other ?
Bvor replied to rumak's topic in Health and Medicine
Yeah, same same. No probs when I'm in Oz but Patts can still necessitate that I take 1 or 2 tabs of 5mg Cialis from time to time. I purchase Cialis in Oz on OAP concession as part of my BPH medication prescribed by my GP. Ahhh.........such is life! -
Prostate surgery user reviews .... turp? rezum? other ?

One size doesn't fit all so a bit of try and see approach maybe required. For my BPH I find that DUODART (OAP purchase in Oz) combined with unprescribed PENCOR 4 (purchased Pattaya Fascino) has increased my flow rate with 2-3 pees per night. My last MRI scan did not indicate any prostate shrinkage after approx 4years on DURODART. Slight dizziness and lightheadedness are adverse affects I can tolerate with caution. (BP levels have been lowered but acceptable with my Oz GP) I have had no urinary retention catheters for last 3 years . Previously and prior to addition of Pencor 4 I had 3 catheter episodes in Pattaya on different visits - he last one with a UTI that required 6 nights in Pattaya Memorial Hospital. I have no cancer and have managed to avoid surgery thus far ..........and hopefully "full time" Cheers and good luck. -
Maybe so, but IMO leaving power on or off is not Centrelinks call .......unless i'm missing something. ps when away I do leave a key for someone to check on things.
-
There are individual circumstances where it can make sense to leave power on eg 60 days away - keep freezer content, auto sprinkler system, solar power unit export..........

6 weeks outside of oz and your full supplement gets reduced to a basic supplement as you have acknowledged in your later post. correct
