Chinese might be hitting the limits of their diagnosis capabilities. When confirmed started going up at a rate of 2k+/day, the graph turned linear. Doesn't look like exponential growth, bit suspect.
According to BBC, Wuhan has run out of test kits so are no longer testing for, registering or reporting new cases of infection. Those showing up at hospitals & diagnostic centers (usually a hotel) have been sent home.

I'm new here but I've already noticed a few members who appear to be Chinese "wu mao" trolls posting under a false name.
If you click on his name to review recent posts, they look like they were written by different people with varying levels of English language competence.
The only thing in common is they support Chinese positions by use of implied threats like the title of this post. Even blames the USA as cause of coronavirus.
Also, the OP posted today "I wont go anytime soon either if I was treated like <deleted>. " -yet he posted yesterday that "I am on my 9th tourist visa in a row mate..."
" Thousands of Chinese clients... "? -Maybe he has a second job at a 7-11 in Beijing? Getting paid .50RMB per post isn't very much.

the interesting bit is so far only Chinese or Chinese decent have died.
Current conditions in Wuhan, China:
Temperature 4° C
Humidity 87%
AQI 156
Gives better understanding how miserable it is there and why elderly and people with weakened respiratory & immune systems are more likely to die.
Another reason is because healthcare facilities have been overwhelmed in Hubei, China, while infected in other countries (still) have benefit of massive medical response & focus.
Sure, China built 2 hospitals in 10 days that can house 2,400 infected - but official numbers are already ~10x that number infected... with unofficial numbers exponentially higher.

Not to our village as nobody visits here, so we are safe.
Think so?
How do you get your propane gas? Does somebody enter your home to deliver, or do you exchange/refill the tanks yourself where people congregate?
Not saying you'll catch anything but giving just one method people can unknowlingly interact.

If spread of coronavirus in China gets worse, you'll see an increase of Chinese citizens visiting Thailand since only tour groups have been ended. Rich & powerful don't do tour groups but can afford villas to hide far from the infected.

If the home needs 2.5 million baht of rennovations, then wouldn't your home only be worth 4.5 million?

Nobody needs to be isolated for 2 weeks, a coronavirus test can be performed in 24-48 hours.

The dirtiest place everyone has to be careful with are ATM keypads and touch screens. #1 place where nasties get traded between people.

I once witnessed a PP traffic dispute that was settled quite amicably! Two cars were stopped when they faced each other down a narrow street. Both drivers jumped out and I thought they were going to yell at each other for 30 minutes. Instead, one guy lifted his shirt to show of his holstered pistol. Immediately, the other guy gets in his car and backs down the street to make way. Very amicable indeed!

I'm so relieved that China is sending 2,500 more medics to help out in Wuhan, a city of 11,000,000 people!
I do wonder what actions China is taking to relieve pressures like food availability, water, sanitation needs, fuel, etc. If the action is just to encircle an area of 50,000,000 people and wait for the infected to die out, there is going to be uncontrollable break-outs by those inside the quarantine zone.

It is merely based-on "perception" of safety, not actual crime stats. More people are visiting Cambodia so more perceptions are being logged.
Types of crimes are not distinguished so being scammed with a bar bill is considered the same as being razored by a thief or your wallet.
I'd rathered be scammed in PP than shot in J-burg.

Have you reported your presence to your embassy/consulate yet? As this is a drug offense and very minor, they will provide no help, HOWEVER, if something does go wrong during your trial and you somehow disappear into the Thai legal/jail system, they will know you are in Thailand and inquire about you. This is just a back-up insurance policy that will likely never be needed.

So has the TAT rolled-out the "No visa fees for Chinese tourists!" campaign yet?

As an example to others, maybe.
That's just a bad movie plot.
Loan sharks are in business to make money not kill people and hurt their cash-flow. They need to squeeze their debtors for regular payments, which usually just goes towards the interest while the principal never gets paid down and usually keeps growing. Debtors never get out from under this. Owning a "book" of these debtors is where the profit comes from, like a herd of cash cows. You don't kill your herd, maybe just smack one every once in a while.

Or the debt is sold and the last thing you see is two guys on a motorbike with reflective visors
After that you don't see anything else
Ever.
Why would debt collectors and loan sharks kill their debtor? They want the debt back plus interest.
Only way is to make the debtor work to pay off the debt.
In instance posted here, the teacher was likely offered the job as yaba mule to help pay down debt.
Now this teacher/drug mule probably has the cost of the drugs lost added to her total debt.

I agree that it' be easier to keep tabs on son thru his cellphone. You'll know where son is, not where the bike is parked.
There are even hidden apps that will also let you record conversations and read texts/emails. -Of course discovery of you keeping tabs may permanently damage relationship with son!

I was just thinking the same thing. After 9/11 and people were freaking out about weaponized gas attacks, several people suffocated in their homes because they had taped-up all their doors and windows...
I think oversized air purifiers would be a safer bet for the household.

Very interesting find, from the pic posted, I'm glad (most of) the head is still present. I feared that the head was already sitting in the residence of some tycoon in Hong Kong or China.

Does "Ice" mean meth like in the USA, or is he called Ice because he's a cold killer?

2k baht each? Is that the going rate for "short time" with a Ladyboy?

Advice Needed! How To Get A Career In Thailand?
in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Posted
I've worked for the World Bank, several multinationals plus 2 NGOs and here's my honest & brutal opinion:
Not only will you have to already read & speak Thai, but you'll need to be able to write & present reports using Thai technical jargon.
Honestly, in your 30's with no technical degrees nor Thai language ability, nobody will hire you.
The road you'll have to take is first get an advanced degree in a Western Univ. while minoring in Thai language. Excell in your studies so your profs notice you, THEN you'll be able to find semester abroad possibilities sponsored through your university. With perfect grades and a couple projects in Thailand when you graduate, THEN you'll be marketable to international business/consultancies in Thailand.
Btw, you'll be competing with 22-23 year olds with multiple degrees, some already with a few patents under their belts.
