My experience is that what they actually wanted is proof of some address other than a hotel or guest house. I live in a condo that is in my wife's name. So we drew up a rental contract stating that I rent space there for unlimited time. And that provided for the tick in the box. Apart from that the visa needs to be OK, I don't know if a tourist visa will do, since I have a retirement visa. But some proof of address may help.

That is why the Residence Certificate.  300 baht at Jomtien.

Looking to replace my Xiaomi redmi 6 which I bought exactly 3 years ago for just under 6k. It's getting slow and the camera which wasn't brilliant when new is now very poor. Happy to stick with Xiaomi and a while ago my friend bought the Poco X3 NFC which he thought was the best value at that price at that time. I'm considering the Poco X3 Pro which is just under 8k for the 8gb version, I want at

least 6gb, my old one was 4gb.

Now this was released in March and Xiaomi have released over 25 phones since then, many out of my price range of what I want to pay, are any of them better value than the X3Pro?

I've looked at some of the specs and I know for example Snapdragon 850 is better than 625 but

some have a different type, Mediatek, so I don't know how to compare them. Also some have windows 10, some 11.

Do I need 5G? I expect the lifespan of this phone to be around 3 years before I replace it.6

So 6/8 gb, maximum 10k Baht but preferably no more than 8k.

All comments and suggestions welcome, even sarky ones !

    Windows 10?!

    That be Android.

It has Snapdragon 860; not 850.

The Poco looks to be more for the type who likes to play games on their phone; the camera function seems just ok.

2 MP for Macro is not great. 5 MP is considered decent.

Advice about what banks require to open up a savings account with ATM services.

Can this be done on a tourist visa?

Passport and Certificate of Residence from Jomtien(300 baht) is all you need. Take it along to the Bangkok Bank branch on Second Road opposite Soi 6 or North Pattaya Road or possibly Walking Street. Expect to be 'gouged' for 700 baht or so for some hidden product. I fail to understand why their ATM card costs so much more than anyone else's.

Other than that you should walk out with what you want.

Soi 6 branch might be the first to try.

As I have wifi at condo (3BB fiber), I don't need unlimited data cell data. 10GB is enough for me. I hardly use 2GB. The same is my Google Fi. Never exceeded 2 GB. It all depends on what on your usage. I need solid wifi but not cell data. The option works for me the best.

My point is that you are paying 100 baht a month for it anyway.

You 30 year old guys seem to be doing what everyone should be doing at your age so keep on your own schedule????
You’re running into a little flak here from a few members that are way past your age and are just now realizing they did it wrong ????….but only a few.

Most of us are glad to see forward thinkers at your age!

Just remember that at 30 years old you have no doubt yet to meet some of life’s major challenges…don’t worry they’ll come!

From 0-30 life is “generally” pretty kind…health should be good…hopefully no divorce in your life yet…no child support…no alimony….no unexpected business failures thru no fault of your own or even completely your fault!

Just saying it’s pretty easy to p”” off a few on here for some reason so choose your words carefully….you are 100% correct by the way just be gentle????

Good luck to you….message me in 39 more years and let me know how it went????

Who are the few members who realised they did it wrong?

I had a successful business in my twenties and never worked again. You see? All you did the whole way through was jump to conclusions and try to insult those whom you wrongly assumed were in a lesser position than yourself.

Waiting for you to put names to the members whom you claim they realised they did it wrong....

  6. I used to send cashew nuts on a regular basis and the woman at the post office used to help me to pack them. Your situation doesn't sound right at all.

Edit: Just noted that you stated that the packs had no label. It could be that made all of the difference. Mine were always branded.

I didn't delete the system reserved partition, I'll have a go at that later, thanks for the suggestion; nothing I've read mentioned it.

Tried burning a ISO with autounattend from Rufus and from Media Creation tool then copied autounattend.

You'll need to delete both, then to install to the Unallocated Space created by deleting both.

It won't work if creating via the Media Creation Tool gives you an install.esd instead of install.wim

  9. Visit the Let's Encrypt certificates page - https://letsencrypt.org/certificates/

Right-click on the ISRG Root X1 self-signed .der link (isrgrootx1.der) and choose "Save Link As..."

Save the file onto your desktop.

Double-click on the certificate on your desktop.

    Click "Install Certificate".

Follow the wizard by pressing "Next" until "Finish". Do not change any options.

Close the certificate window, and close Google Chrome.

Re-open Chrome and try viewing the test URL again.

Then check the websites that formerly had issues.

Attempted to attack and rape a 12 Yr old girl!  And then goes on to actually rape a 45 Yr old woman.

You would have thought the 12 Yr old would have been the easier victim!

Pretty poor reporting of facts in this matter.

At least he hasn't admitted anything yet.

I wonder if there will be a complete breakdown of the events.

    Other way around:

The massage shop provided a picture of him from its CCTV.

Perhaps he had (foolishly) gone to a condo/hotel the address of which he had provided when he entered the country?   Perhaps he had to show his passport when he checked in?   Perhaps, with his distinctive bike and the media attention, he was recognised?

He's obviously an idiot so perhaps he went for drink in the area and someone saw him and said, "hey, you're that Khon Kaen rapist and child abuser!"

Indeed, they say it was his 90 day report address.

My browser is Google chrome I guess ???? my daughter set me up on it way back and it protects my computer, I can run a computer check if I want but it warms me of stuff anyway so that's good enough.

If I go into computer and go to Microsoft for updates a Microsoft screen comes up saying "There are no updates available".

Try navigating to this link; https://valid-isrgrootx1.letsencrypt.org/ to see it it helps.

Once a month I stay in a holiday rental high rise condo building. It has a long/ wide pool for everyone to enjoy.

The other day I arrived, stripped off down to my board shorts and jumped in. Noticed an old guy watching me.

He got out of the pool after a few minutes and walked over to me. Using a polite tone he asked if I could next time take a shower before getting in the pool. He said 'everyone needs to do it'. I nodded my head.

I suppose he is correct as Thailand is a hot country- we all have sweating bodies. He wasn't acting like a xxxx head or anything. Afterwards I thought I will do it as its more hygienic for everyone. I think he assumes that no one takes a shower up in their condo prior to heading to the pool.

Thought I would see what everyone else does at their own condo. How would you react if a stranger approached you and asked you to comply with the rules of the pool..... Does a little bit of sweat on a human body mixed up with thousands of litres of chlorinated water bother you?

We have quite a few of those who pretend to have a shower. They go into the cubicle, turn the water on and walk straight out again. Often the water not even touching them.  Filthy pigs. Usually the older types, but sometimes the odd  Asian woman...and the children...if they can get away with it.
