Haven't had a chance to get out. Really long days. Off Saturday though so will get out for a walk and check things out.  Wife and I would hit "Good Day Massage" on BuaKhao. There was a strong gal there that would try and make me say "uncle". Through the years also tried at Nemos and Eden and many other places. They all seemed crowded and not all that clean which didn't matter that much, but with it being flu season (other concerns notwithstanding), was hoping to avoid that environment. Big "C" years ago left me with an immune system that's not super strong so just trying to exercise a bit of caution.

    Appreciate the responses. Cheers all.

It's not just about super strong, but also if they know what they are doing. Ask to see certificates and silence will ensue.

I had a very good neck & shoulder massage at Jit's. You'll find the place clean. Small, but perfectly formed.

Girl had already diagnosed my problem before I told her and worked away like a good 'un.

Nemo on Bua Khao was a disappointment and Eden on Diana looked a bit run down. So I suggest you give Jit's a try.

I have found Piromrat (green decor) opposite Pattaya City hospital to be consistently good. 200 Baht for an hour including 50 Baht tip. Clean and well run.

Have been there a few times.

Other recommended places include Jit's Massage and Spa(you'll see their certificates on the wall) almost opposite the 7-11 on the corner of Bua Khao and Soi 15. 200 baht for 75 minutes.

Nuad Sabai(formerly Banana Massage) is good and cheap. 100 baht for Thai or Foot massage for an hour. On Bua Khao, near Pattaya Tai.

Keep trying using my I pad as that’s all I’ve got and comes up every time with invalid visa type when I put in tourist, only want a 2 month visa and extend for 1 month when I’m there, had M entry O before from London but now can’t get that anymore!anyone got the visa online before and can tell me the steps they took and does it have to be on a laptop or desk top computer?

They have a PC at the Embassy. Worst case scenario, take all of your documents with you. They'll sort it out for you there.

  4. Make a complaint with the police. You should have recorded her stating that she didn't have money, as when the police get involved she will change the story to your having damaged the property.

If someone comes at you with a knife, you defend yourself with your head? Personally, I would use my hands, and since the woman is the one with the hand injuries, she definitely seems to be the one who defended herself. How would you receive damage to your hands if you're holding the knife?

Another one who doesn't bother to read what has gone before posting..

That was how we used to pick up travellers at khao san 15 years ago. No barfine however, just a bit of weed, ac and a hot bath.

I seem to be an anomaly here, but in all my time in thailand, I would/will always go for the western traveller than the local girl at the bar.

Have made some lasting friendships out of it too.

You aren't. I still do. Though not always western. Have to make do with Russians most of the time. ????

One should prepare for all eventualities which the truck driver clearly wasn't besides carrying people loose in the back. Its called defensive driving. The Jazz is just as much to blame as the truck driver. They crashed into each other.

There, see how easy it is to make a post without being critical of another poster.

More nonsense. You can prepare for all eventualities and still have an accident.

How do you deal with someone cutting into your lane and then stopping

    She caused the accident.

The fact that she is adjudged by officials to be in the wrong, against Burmese, should tell you all that you need to know.

In my experience, AIS has the worst coverage out of "civilisation", DTAC has the best. Or, if your phone has an eSim, roam at will!

Others will have the opposite experience. So not helpful. Especially if you live in Sattahip and he is touring the Southern islands.

  9. Sorry, but this is nonsense.

He wasn't driving behind her. There was no one else in his lane.

She cut across, into his lane.

If she was in the same lane as he when she began, the reaction would have been different. He would have slowed down or changed to the fast lane earlier.

One does not expect, someone to cut across all lanes from the fast lane, impeding your progress. That is madness.

By the sounds of it, one or two of the posters here, should stay off the roads in any kind of vehicle.

It on all TV news station.

Is crime news if husband attack wife like this. Terrible. Lucky he to old/drunk. He admit already.

Headline “Husband and wife bloodbath together”

    eg Channel 3/33....

Were you drunk when you posted?? Are you suggesting that he attacked her?? The fact that you are even suggesting that she is his wife, shows how you are totally misinformed.

    Ridiculous.

Enough nice and clean places for that money but it becomes completely different if downgrading to 1.5-2K a month, then you get something like this news feature. As well, the nicest places can become filthy places in no time with some tenants..

Nowadays it isn't that hard to find a 28sqm room with hot shower, aircon, flat screen and small kitchen for 5K a month excl. utilities.
Seen plenty of those in BKK, Pattaya, Phuket and Chiang Mai. Great if you are single and not need a pool or gym at home.

To conclude it is indeed quite sad for a farang to end up in such a <deleted>ty appearing room,
can imagine it happening a lot as certain people say they only get 100 pounds a week pensions...

You obviously missed my post concerning the posted prices...

Found additional information about the GPO CBD oil.

The picture says per 1ml it contains 100mg CBD.

Price I got from another source, the 10ml is 2,000 Baht, 30ml 6,000 Baht.

Very expensive compared to imported products.

    Differs somewhat from the documentation;

Though of course that refers to the 1:1 product.

Thanks everyone for the replies.   Here is an option I thought about.   Purchase 3  economy seats together for my wife and I.   We are relatively small, I am 5'9, 150 lb and wife about 5"4 and skinny!    I think we could really get comfortable in 3 economy seats.   Has anyone done this?

It's not going to happen. Some airlines, like Air NZ might allow it, but most won't.

Another thing, check if your USB Bluetooth adapter is BT 4 (it will have a 4.0 inscribed somewhere)

Or is it an old by adapter such as BT 2 which has more difficulty oftentimes to work in Windows 10.

It's not that such an adapter will have difficulty with Windows 10. It's that the adapter may not support the necessary protocols.

The Bluetooth Stack will support the protocols offered by the dongle, but the dongle may not support the protocols needed by the OP.

I am sorry my English is my first language!

    Really?

So why have you not answered the question that both userabcd and myself have posed?

Exact model number of the dongle you use for the PC or at least the packaging. If the dongle doesn't support the protocol, you are on a hiding to nothing.

  16. All networks offer unlimited data capped at 10 Mbps(1.25 MB/s) for 200 baht per month, plus perhaps 50 baht for the SIM.

Truemove H and DTAC also offer unlimited calls to all networks for another 50 baht per month. Truemove H offering unlimited use of WiFi HotSpots in addition.

Go to an official service centre of your choice to avail yourself of these offers.

Many with low self esteem, married to a Pattaya woman, on a poor pension, love to raise their self worth by self righteously bringing others down.

It illustrates, daily, the kind of people we have amongst us.

As I demonstrated earlier, it's not about the money, as they could get a nicer apartment for the same money.

He could be staying there out of loyalty to the apartment's owner or it being his/her favourite location.

I stayed in a less than ideally decorated apartment for many years, simply because of it's beachfront location.

But here one gets many sad and unpleasant characters looking to spill their bile on others.

    Off topic,

I thought the apartment looked quite nice, and within walking distance of the beach.

    I'd be OK living there.

I was surprised when she told me the price. I even visited at another time to check if it was just a special price for her. But they offered me the same price. Though a ridiculous 10 baht per unit for electricity.

I thought about taking it just to store my stuff in between trips.

Some people are just determined to post something negative. They cannot change course.
