  1. You sound like a barrel of laughs. I think i'd sooner blow my brains out rather that do what you mention. My level of Thai is ok, can go about my daily life no drama's, will at some point learn to read a bit better.
  2. I contact the hotels directly. https://asq.in.th/pattaya-test-and-go-2-day-hotels
  3. Just do whatever the hotel says. I'm arriving 25th Feb ( day 1 ) and 2nd test 1st March ( day 5 ).
  4. You pick an extreme example, Angola is about the worst place in W Africa. Doubt you're see many retired expats wanting to move there tho- lol Thailand as a popular ( or used to be ) destination for retiring expats is a pain in the hoop, there's no doubt about it.
  5. I believe so, the guy tells me his filter system cost close to 1M baht.
  6. I also would n't risk that, i will do it as per the rules coz i think the day 5 test will get scrapped soon.
  7. That's expensive, i get the 20litre bottles ( for water dispensers ) for 16 baht per bottle - delivered. I don't know how he makes a profit??
  8. You should have said that in your opening post!!!
  9. I use BKK / Pattaya hospital - 3800thb, results in about 6-8 hours.
  10. Thanks, i did tryot make it as simple as possible but still looks difficult for you to understand. You obviously have no idea or experience with what's being discussed.
  11. I have entered numerous times, my insurance has not been till the end of my extension. I will enter again end of this month, my medical insurance ( which covers covid ) expires end of March so i'll only put 25 days on my Thai Pass application, i don't expect any issues.
  12. There's 2 options to get out of the Day 5 test ( if you're 'up for it ) 1. Do day 1 test and release, on day 4 contact the hotel and tell them you've carried out a home test and you're positive so cannot travel. I believe if you're at your own house you're allowed to self isolate ( based on info from Pattaya / BKK hospital when i did a PCR test for travelling about 10 days ago ). You're told if no call from hospital to come and collect certificate, if postive you receive a call and are told to self isolate ( providing minimal symptoms ). 2. If you can show a flight ticket leaving thailand before day 5 then you upload that along with day 1 booking confirmation when applying for Thai Pass, then just bin the ticket and stay. I will carry out the day 1 and 5 tests and do it 'properly' but these are potential options if not willing to do the day 5 test ( for whatever reason ).
  13. Starting a new application is probably easier and quicker than try to get the old one.
  14. One of the few good things to come out of Covid is the lack of people at airports and on flights. Unfotunately starting to see airports and flights get busier now, which is a bummer.
  15. Another option to get out of the 5 day test is simply to buy a throw away ticket which shows you leaving after 3 or 4 days, this will: 1. Reduce risk of + test on day 5 and being at the mercy of what happens 2. Offset the cost of the day 1 and day 5 package. Flights for surrounding countries 4-5000 baht?
  16. CoE was worse. It's the same the first time you do anything, perhaps a bit overwhelming but at the end of the day it's only booking hotels / uploading docs / getting a test before travel. It's really not that difficult.
