  1. You have been very, very lucky as most all such shops do not have such a person - optometrist is a new profession in Thailand and there very few - for prescription people normally consult an ophthalmologist at a hospital or independent shop (most often in hospital) to rule out any medical conditions and obtain perscription. What sales shop can do is provide computer reading/20 foot testing but if there are any issues they are not likely to be found and staff training can be nil. You can not assume they are optometrists.
  2. The more the better - especially when tracking down an RCBO trip. But refrigerators/water cooler and table top electrics use normal wall outlets (but best to have several outlet breakers for kitchen area).
  3. As said above the new normal is 63 amp main breaker for the common 15/45 amp meters feeds most of us have. Back in the metal fuse days believe it was common to have 80 amp main fuse (although my brain may be shorted worse then the electrics as date back too many moons).
  4. I had a dryer here in Bangkok - in 30 years it may have been used a dozen times, removed a decade ago. Thai want sun smell freshness and very easy to move to covered area for most people when rain comes. If you must have I would buy cheap and forget inverter (the big cost is the heat and inverter not going to help that). Make sure electric line able to provide wattage.
  5. Actually not much more. https://shopee.co.th/เซฟ-ที-คัท-รุ่นใหม่ล่าสุด-มีไฟLED-ขนาด2p-50A-i.41896259.2658127260?sp_atk=5d923b3c-c368-4658-bf6a-879ab48b3471&xptdk=5d923b3c-c368-4658-bf6a-879ab48b3471
  6. Omeprazole 20mg Euthyrox Indeed these seem to not get together well but change in time of taking would not help from my quick Google check, as omeprazole stays in system, so suspect you have frequent TSH checks to make sure omeprazole is not reducing euthyrox too much. I take euthyrox as you but do not have the omeprazole issue.
  7. Got to love such statements in our fat upon fat Micky D world. But suspect chance is better here than USA - where XXL (not Asian size) seems to be the new M.
  8. Indeed - the issue with blue pipe is not burst, (a high pump pressure here would not be more than about 4 bar), but poor connections (not making them tight/properly glue). They often would fit to wall by pulling out a bit from connection and just letting adhesive hold together.
  9. I see current report of 8 (which is good) for Hua Hin (you have a strong sea breeze) so really no need to run filter - but many or us run 24 hours and appreciate the white noise in bedroom. Expect your location will often have good air quality compared to more inland locations.
  10. If showing 001-003 there would not be any need for purifier - your OP seemed to indicate readings were with filter operating - check the AQI website for local readings as do not believe anywhere in Thailand would have such without filtering. Suspect your meter wrong.
  11. Believe the only path for ITIN in such a case is filing application with a joint tax return these days. It is much more tightly controlled and not issued unless needed.
  12. Actually this is a standard practice - you write over the passport photo with reason it is provided - it can not be used for anything else and this is also how Shopee works. As for bank account it is just your account number as on any personal check. Did process for Shopee years ago and works well. For Lazada use CC so just refund to that account.
  13. There have been many threads on the subject - search using Google and forum name for much better results than forum search - even without forum name it is normally better. Numbers go down as air gets cleaner - anything below 010 is quite clean if using normal system of measurement.
  14. I may have misunderstood but having an earth does not replace having RCBO - different things. As for the immediate problem I would also be unplugging everything (not just turning breakers off) as a double check (can't hurt and always a chance of getting lucky). As for pump and hot water they are normally on RCBO - only emergency lighting and perhaps refrigerators are often wired to avoid here.
  15. My local Lotuss shows about a dozen types available here in Bangkok. Tops shows even more.
  16. As said a tourist visa and then change to non immigrant O after marriage and extensions - using the 400k in bank. The non immigrant O-A visa is the retirement visa so indeed age 50 is a requirement, as well as insurance.
  17. Key seems to be that Thailand not being a listed country - so no exemption to the 5 year residency in USA requirement unless:
  18. This must be a CM issue as Tops here in Bangkok have 7 different cans of Ayam available with none out of stock. https://www.tops.co.th/en/search/ayam
  19. Unfortunately not true for SS. I do not have SS so have not researched but as said for monthly benefits she would have have to have lived in USA for a period of time. Suspect you can find information with Google search of SS foreign spouse.
  20. For last few weeks had to click on top left "Home" to get back to main page as "foreign home" at bottom left was dead. Now seems to be working again. If someone fixed it thanks. Also note sub sections after foreign home are also hot links so a big help.
  21. And yes a rat attack can destroy just about anything.
  22. My first car was a Mustang 1964 1/2 (was upgrade to 289 from original) and sold in Germany when departed in 1968 - Dang BMW's were about the only cars that routinely passed me on Autobahns (it seemed they had to go full out all the time). Only other sporty car I owned was a Jag E type which only drove a bit in USA as could not take to Dacca/Dhaka with me and sold 2 years later to someone recovering from a crashed sports car (don't remember type - but he called from hospital to buy).
  23. Not all condos can be owned by foreigners and always less than 50% of a property. Long term lease is subject to being declared illegal if authorities determine it was done to circumvent foreign land ownership laws - has not been a big issue in the past but as more of country is bought up by neighbors expect issues likely will appear and a lot of people may be out in the cold legally.
  24. Yes but you can do as many transfer as you want - there is no requirement that 65k has to be one transfer for extensions of stay.
  25. It is international in that the funds are paid outside Thailand - but the funds are transferred into local account from a local account. Much like the old shophouse system where local merchant in foreign country accepts money and pays out from his account in Thailand. As original source for funds can be provided by the paying bank in Thailand this is accepted as proof of foreign origin. The FTT on Bangkok Bank accounts is a transfer from WISE Bangkok Bank account - just that Bangkok Bank knows the origin and so indicates (without added paperwork).
