I came for the Temples, culture and beaches like another OP running explains why tourists come here and do not stay in bars until 4am.

Yes I think many of us did but couldn't keep up with the hard drinking Monks consuming Lao khao as if it was going out of fashion and became very disillusioned with their incessant gambling.

I would tend to call the appliances being used coolers instead of refrigerators, to me a refrigerator is something maintained at 4 degrees C, with a freezer section.

BTW, when are Americans going to get with the program, and go metric? Fahrenheit and gallons went out with bustles and button-up boots in most other countries.

Possibly they will do that around the same time as they learn to use roundabouts correctly ????

    I agree.

I listen to the local radio stating from back home which have adverts that say you must now actually phone A and E and nont just turn up.

The UK is a 3rd world country now IMO.

I think that may be a bit unfair. It's still a 1st world country with 1st class dedicated NHS workers. However when it comes to lies and corruption it definitely should be considered as having 3rd world politicians.

  4. It is truly frustrating as my wife and I are continually having to block these junk SMS's which seem to be increasing in frequency.  Will the phone operators block them ? Well my opinion is that they may pay lip service only and in the main they will just let it continue. After all it's like some forums allow trolls to continue as it generates "clicks" and as we know clicks = baht as do all those SMS's generate baht for the phone operators. Bit like asking turkeys to vote for Christmas.

sounds like you've never had a decent bottle of wine in your life. I'm a beer-swilling peasant but even i can taste the difference between a glass of Mont Clair and something slightly better.

In one breath you mention a decent bottle of wine and in the next you compare the difference between Mont Clair and something else. Clearly your beer swilling has affected your comprehension of what I actually said. But never mind, back to your bar stool with your mates. What's your other favorite subject you know nothing about, Golf ?????

It´s totally relevant to this thread is I chose to compare with another country. That´s not deflecting. A don´t worry, I can say the total population in another country too. What you did here, was to completely look away from the meaning. That was you can not have one example of something and think it´s something that stands for the majority.

    Stop talking total gibberish.
