Overstay: Where to surrender yourself?
Jenkins9039 replied to ttkeric's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Those days are over, he would be detained and processed, the old method of blacklisted and shown to the plane after paying are over since at least a year. -
Had a SCB Credit Card since 2012 (actual credit card yes). Was transferred from SCB to Card X shortly after they issued their new platinum card, got the CardX one a month later, and then that expired and a new one issued through to 2029. Have a great CB Credit Score (clear routinely). Went to 7/11 last night for some stuff, always just use card, and it declined (red lettering on their screen) used another card, got home logged in on phone and see - your card can not be used please call xxxxx Got monthly statement sent same night no comments on closing account, go to points section, or request statement section in the app, can't request for inactive card. Doesn't appear to be a security freeze but 'inactive'. I guess they are getting round to closing accounts for those of us that don't cost money (i.e interest probably paid this year 800 baht but earned 12,000 in Central Vouchers) or something else, anyone else had a similar before i call them and go round in circles?

Somewhat confused, this isn't new - plebs come from all across the globe to experience the Thai smile and Singapore Twist for shekels and then leave, some win the lottery and marry the pleb. -

Thai Tax Returns for Foreigners
Jenkins9039 replied to Nickcage49's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
You don't need to file a tax return if you've no income. Simple as that. -
State Pension should be cancelled/dissolved, the vast majority of the people currently paying in are merely paying for boomers to enjoy their life in places like Thailand, whilst they themselves won't get anything

Jenkins9039 replied to JK-Trilly's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub

I always make a scene and tell them to get to the back of the line, some old thai lady got owned by a young KFC server when one tried it with me there, and in 711 i am local farang so they always stand in my corner.

Thailand Eyes Tax Revamp to Support Ageing Population’s Needs
Jenkins9039 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Problem with forced declaration is tax evasion charges are frequently applied. -
In the UK as a non Resident it would be tax free Then when you remit to Thailand you'd pay income tax. IF you had stablecoins pre-2024 or the asset was invested in from savings pre-2024 then those funds to the value or the value of the principle are tax free in Thailand.

Russian Man Arrested at Phuket Airport, Accused of Helping Fugitive
Jenkins9039 replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
1) He has a indirect contact in immigration. 2) His contact is paid funds to check the system. 3) The system is offline meaning x information doesn't get to land borders for 2-3 days after entering centralised system. 4) Centralised system adds new person of interest, feeds out to provincial immigration with hard/secure line connectivity to centralised system. 5) IO aware informs Russian counterpart. 6) Russian counterpart informs suspect and arranges extraction over land border (30,000$). 7) Suspect enters cambodia/laos and from there enters international aviation hubs (excluding Thailand, and/or interested country). From experience (criminal court case(s) -> IO in court explained how this occurs as a fugitive in two cases walked into their net on returning to Thailand (I was the victim). It costs 25,000THB to check IO system (and is routinely done usually via lawyers with connections, not by Russians so this Russian would have a layered access -> i.e he charges perp, then queries lawyer, who queries IO. Might bring down a few extra people, his life is in precarious position -> dead fish tell no tales -
