I have a thai bank account since more than 6 years, I opened it when i was married and i renewed it less than one year ago when i was already divorced, no problem for me -

I am happy with tourist/exemption visas honestly. I am not into marriage with thai women, it's only a loss of money with them. In fact there is written extension for support thai wife, this explains everything But i don't want to get off topic, i can only say: tourist visas and unlimited border runs for a long time, i really hope so haha

but what about to support the thai wife after the extension? If it were only for 1900 thb extension... It's still a sweet deal?

If it's really true that now is possible to do unlimited border run then there is no need that I go to Vientiane to apply for another tourist visa

Well, if the extension is only 1900 then no need to do a border bounce and pay for a van or for a ticket flight

The only thing that count for Thai government is money and only money, nothing else. It's their system

unfortunately can't do nothing about it, we all know it's all a money scheme here, thais make money with people come from abroad. They like money too much

For employment prohibited maybe they mean you can't find a job with a thai company while in thailand, can't take a job from thais

There is something weird about this DTV visa, I mean, immigration like to make money but they let people do a border bounce for free? And the cost of this visa is just 10k for 5 years, i could apply already as i already have more than 500k on my bank account but maybe most of digital nomads do not have this financial requirements? Just wonder

Just wonder if it would be possible to use wise for the 500k money requirements. And if it would be enough to just upload an employment contract without an employment certificate from the company

What's the point of paying for another 10k extension when you can do a border run and come back with a free stamp for another 6 months? If am not mistaken haha

I don't know but there is something that doesn't fully convince me about this type of visa and we know that in Thailand there is always a surprise around the corner

The only thing is that it is only valid for 5 years and after can't re-apply anymore

So if for example I do a border bounce every 6 months should I get 6 more months extension stamp for free?

I thought it was 10k for 6 months and another 10k for the extension
