The whole purpose of the Elite visa was so people could LIVE in Thailand year round with out a visa hassle....A income tax has/will kill the Elite sales deader than a Dodo.... Is the Elite company who have spent decades building their brand going to allow a tax to destroy their business? It seems they would do something......And I mean much more than adding more silly worthless benefits...

Wealthy Thais will not be paying jack.....You can bet your last dollar on this.....They have all they money in the world to set up protected accounts in Singapore and other places...

This is exactly right the whole tax thing stinks from top to bottom.... Mike posts endlessly trying to normalize the stench from this tax disaster...And get everyone onboard with the program... Mike does not seem to care that this tax will cost Thailand Trillions of baht in revenue for a tea cup full of taxes....This tax is horrible for Thailand...And for expats....Its a lose lose for everyone.... Or how about 95% of Thai dont pay taxes....Well that does not seem to matter either.. Or how about expats with work permits who pay taxes have the option of getting first class heath care for a small price....But retired expats are offered zero benefits..Well that also does not seem to matter... bla bla bla I could go on and on...... But in a nutshell this tax benefits no one..

I also want to give a strong recommendation for Key Visa (by big C) too for passport renewal. They took care of Every thing...I only supplied a photo and paid 10,000 baht..It took exactly 1 month to get my USA passport back......Very Simple and very easy.... 2 thumbs up from me....

I agree with this.......If I cant get some dirty hoes to perform for me on camera....Then I feel like my rights have been violated...lol

Weed shops should be paid a minimum of 1 million baht per shop if the government wants to close them....And I do mean every shop in Thailand.....If the government did not want weed shops they should have all been closed the first week they all opened...

Has anyone considered the massive loss of money flowing into Thailand by scaring foreigners away from making large purchases like Condos,Houses, Cars, Businesses etc ?...... The numbers are shocking....And in no possible way could any taxes paid by foreigners, even begin to make up for the loss of this money coming into Thailand....This is just about farangs because Thais for the most part dont pay taxes... OK....Lets take just condos for a example.... And for simplicity, lets say all condos would have been bought for 5 million Baht.But were not bought because of the tax mess... One condo not bought 5,000,000 Baht loss to Thailand... 10 condos 50,000,000 Baht loss 100 condos 500,000,000 Baht loss 1000 condos 5,000,000,000 Baht loss 10,000 condos 50,000,000,000 Baht loss 50,000 condos 250,000,000,000 Baht loss No way they would ever be able to recover this kind of money through taxes....When you can bet your last dollar, every single farang would be doing their best to pay as close to zero taxes as possible...

Exactly......The word "Normalizing" Is what a few posters here repeatedly try and encourage endlessly here regarding taxes.... Folks there is nothing to "Normalize" All this tax nonsense is rotten to the core...The only place for it is in the trash can.... If they cant get it together to get Thais to pay taxes dont bloody ask anyone else to pay, especially when you offer zero in return.. And no way in a million years does Thailand have the organizational level to deal with expats taxes from every country on earth anyways.........Anyone that supports this madness is part of the problem.....

The TRD Code states that a Thai tax resident must obtain a Thai TIN, within 60 days of exceeding the minimum threshold (60k, 120k or 220k) regardless of whether tax is payable or not. Have you guys seen the long long lines at the Tax offices of the Thais eager to get their tax number within 60 days of their income exceeding the minimum threshold (60k, 120k or 220k)?? LOL Most Thais have never been to the tax office in their life and they have no plans to visit a tax office EVER...... There are LOADS of Thai laws that are ignored.....Especially by the Thais regarding taxes...

Well I ordered my usual meal from Hotmeals last night that I have ordered Loads of times...This combo is so good,I wont order any thing else.... Big Burrito Refried beans......That go on the Burrito... Carrot Cake Delivered as usual and quality as usual......So every thing seems normal..... I never did get around to trying Mikes Mexican......15 years and I still have not tried Mikes yet.....lol

Dont make me laugh.... They would NEVER remove Palm Trees EVER.... Palm Trees are absolutely mandatory... They are very useful to help make beach goers beach experience as unpleasant as possible due to lack of shade....
