    ur so off: I live in Phuket, 2 bedroom house with 2 aircons. 1 kms to beach 2 of us ( wife works) sledom do we spend more than 35,000 baht/month, ( rent is only 10,000 baht) dont drink and eat out maybe 2 meals a week ( eat much better at home) we live very well 🙂 using an agent in Pattaya apx $350 /year and since 90% of everything in Cambodia costs more > ( yes i have lived there...) Thailand comes out cheaper!!!

    used to think this till i realized from talking to the girls the mana san does NOT like this at all as the bar makes less , so the girls are pushed to ask for lady drinks beer bar what ever ur drink lady drinks 120-150 baht Go go 150-220 lady drinks some girls drink coke, some tea, some beer, some mixed drinks, ( an spit it out) no bar want a bunch of drunk girls working

    what country? US passports are ALL new numbers when new passport issued regardless they can see ur travel history

    in Immigration offices, its a 2,000 baht fine with receipt, in some offices its a 1,000 without miss 1 or 2,3,+++ 🙂

    Thais ride their bikes, drive their pickups ( towing boats) on the beach daily, PLUS on the sidewalk, thais an farangs ride their bikes>!!!

    totally up to you> got a new passport in Nov, just renewed my extension end of march and i had stamps done at same time I wont update drivers license till its due ( next feb) but will advise bank, when i get around to it

    i have brought from 2 dif Pharmacies in Phuket, ( they were NOT fake) never paid more than 10 baht many times then wont sell to tourists BUT stopped since i can buy a box of 40 in Cambodian, for under $4

    every pharmacy has Diazepam ( Valium) 2, 5, 10 mgs 1 10 mgs cost an average of 10 baht

    note: Phnom Penh 800,000 need be in the bank day you apply at any bank , any currency ONLY single 90 day entry takes 4-5 business days with agent recommended; Cina travel or Call kim

    easier to stay long term in Cambodia than Laos an its a bit more westernized as well 1 year extension $285-300 flights from HK, KL, Singapore and some chinese cities

    mine, done last week , took ONLY 2 pages + 1/2 for new extension.

    got my new US passport in Nov got my new extension via an agent 2 weeks ago at an up country immigration and at the same time had him do the stamp transfers, move my tm30 from where the extension was issued to Phuket AND the 90 day report ( i had missed the previous one ) well worth the 2,000 baht extra fee 🙂 and didn't set foot in Immigration

    strange nowadays, i recall buying the Bangkok post everyday, ( and the phuket Gazette weekly) an it was available everywhere> now with the interent......

    turn this around to America or anywhere where the police are armed see what happens when you try to disarm a cop, even if he is pointing it at you and yelling at you!!!!! you dont deescalate a situation with police by disarming them!!!
