the riel is not a traded currency outside the country so take $$$ You can change Baht easily No Cambodian restaurants in Pattaya? I'm shocked, as it some of the worst food in SE asia No places will turn down $$$, but might give ya ur change in Riel: not true at all atm's will give ya $20's and even $10's ( just withdraw $290) an most establishments will give you $10, 20, 50's in change + riel $1, 2 & 5's are hard to come by atms fees range from $5 -8 /transaction thai baht can be used in Koh Kong, Palin an Poi Pet I just returned back to Phuket after 16 months living in Kep> Happy to be back here ????

easiest, least amount of hassles, is fly one way into thailand and get a free 30 day visa exempt> Purchase a onward ticket from https://onwardflights.com/ for under $10 Apply for the non O visa, ( as he already has the $$ in the bank) in his 1st week in Thailand, After he has a lease agreement> zero reason to use an agent as he has the cash in the bank and thats why most use an agent the rest is a walk in the park I did this end of Nov.

This is completely normal for Cambodia You could have saved some $$ by paying $30 for the Cambodian visa an 3-500 baht, for a same day return>> Never been less than 300 baht for years or travelled to Palin an stayed the night an returned the next day

What is a "Ghost Run"
zzzzz replied to AgMech Cowboy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I would not consider that a "ghost run" "Ghost runs" were those were you were in Phuket, Bangkok and never left, although ur passport went to Malaysia ( either the border for a stamp in an out or Penang for a new visa) an back Many people use a "helper" at poi pet but they still travel to the border just they physically dont leave thailand but their passports go upstairs, across the street, back upstairs an back to you
