  2. some agents will do the 90 day for you for free, some charge 500 baht thats if you keep ur address where the agent got ur extension some immigrations allow online 90 day reports Phuket does NOT, if ur extension was issued elsewhere Some of us MOVE our address, ( file a new tm 30) to wherever we want. so can do the 90 day where we live ( also makes it easier if you need a cor)
  3. they called together all bike rental places in Patong an told them that if they rent a big bike, ( over 150 cc) to any of these A#@holes and he causes trouble, the bike will be confiscated and they will have to pay a 25,000 baht fine> so it means that will now rent the smaller 150 to create chaos. the traffic stop between kalim and Kamala makes a fortune everyday 🙂
  4. you seriously think there are that many kiwis wanting to be teachers in Thailand thta it was worth mentioning? 55555
  5. i dont see the problem: arrive for most on a 30 day FREE visa exempt, pay 1,900 ( $53) for 30 day extension> fly home If ur worried about flying without a return ticket in 30 days use https://onwardflights.com/

  12. why?? arrive get a 30 day FREE visa exempt 30 day extension 1,900 baht ( $53) or travel and get one in laos, malaysia, Cambodia for $40! what is wrong with new Zealand?

  15. u think bang tao, laguna is bad now, wait till thye add 6,000 more units< same goes for kamala's new project of 1,000+ units and so it goes across the island> Build, Build Build, make $$, $$$ $$$, but forget the roads, water an other Infrastructure .

  21. i never got a email with tracking info for the passport return to me ONLY by looking at https://passportstatus.state.gov/ could i see it arrived in Bangkok, than took 3 days to get to my house in Phuket The U.S. Department of State has mailed your passport book on 11/14/2023. We sent your passport book to you using Prepaid Delivery.
  22. another reason why more and more people move to using agents< no worries everyone wins; immigration gets a slice of the pie, agent makes a few Baht, PLUS you dont have to deal with the stress while if you do it on ur own they get zip and ur stressed out every year worrying if you have all ur ducks lined up or they made some change and you were not informed.
  23. exactly> PLUS you can always do it online from wherever you are when a new tenant checks in i registered as house possessor with unloading the owners id card an house book online
  24. "But hey - save the 505 THB and go for the experience of such an encounter." for a 1 year permit vs 515 for the 5 year license< yes i will save the 505 for each year I have rented cars and driven in the states, France, Greece, Australia & Burma with my thai license so yep, up to you 🙂
  25. To drive or lease a car in Thailand as a tourist or visitor it is necessary to have either a Thai driving licence or a valid foreign driving licence with a photograph. The foreign licence must either be in English, or be accompanied by an official translation into English or Thai. The licence needs to have been issued by a country that has a treaty with the Thai government allowing the mutual acceptance of driving licences. Most countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the USA have this agreement with Thailand under the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic or the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. If the driver is not a tourist or visitor but is a resident with a non-immigrant visa, then it is necessary to have a Thai driver's licence. https://www.angloinfo.com/how-to/thailand/transport/driving-licences
