BEFORE you need deal with ur immigration office, u need have some stuff transferred at the immigration that issued the extension only from old to new BUT IF ur extension in old passport will be expired and no re entry when u return, you dont need do anything

extension's are for 1 year if ur passport ONLY has 6 months than thats all ur extension will be for , for the same price so...... i am NOT referring ,nor interested in a 1 month extension for a visa exempt or tourist visa 🙂 OK?

Did mine 15 months before it was due to expire, as u need at least 13 months valid date for ur new 1 year extension.

if ur on a tourist visa it ends the day you leave thailand and when you come back will be stamped in on new passport with a visa exempt stamp you have NO stamps to transfer

800,000 OR "equivalent" needs be in a bank to get a Non O visa, in the states, Laos or even Cambodia than transfer it to a Thai bank to get ur 1 year extension at least 2 months before you apply 800,000 needs be in ur thai account 2 months on day you apply for extension. Once u have a NON O , get a certificate of residence from immigration and shop around till you find a bank that will open an account for you,
