it has always been the same, be you enter from Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia or Burma 30 day visa exempt or 60 day tourist visa from Embassy + 1 30 day extension/ trip -

tourist visa is $40 via an embassy, abit more online the 30- to 45 day visa exempt and 15 to30 day VOA was to kickstart and help promote tourism after 2 years of Covid. daily,less and less people on the beach in Kamala<I expect it to pick up next week for Sogkran and than die On a side note> I recently got my first Motorcycle license for Thailand ( have only had a car license for 30 years) Used to be a check point between Kalim and Kamala> 1-4pm and on 2nd road in Patong anyway, i have been in and out of Patong alot since i go it, i have YET to see a checkpoint anywhere. disappointed as wanted to pull out my motorcycle license> Did i waste 105 baht? where's all the checkpoints :-) LOL
